When she washed her hair the next day, her ends were clearly burned--likely why it was curled to hide the damage. When she called to speak to the manager, Ashley called back instead, became defensive, and accused her of lying. The manager later said she "understood both sides" but still told her she was no longer welcome--just for asking for a refund on a service she didn't want. They refunded the haircut, but the way they handled it was unprofessional and dismissive. Definitely not what you'd expect from a "high-end" salon!

I scheduled an appointment online with Blue Sky a few days prior to coming in. My appointment was for 1 pm, I arrived 5 mins before this and waited in the lobby. When someone came to the desk they seemed surprised I was there and asked if I had an appointment which I told them I did. They motioned for me to sign in on a tablet that had very little paperwork and pre - information spots available. Only thing I could do was pick areas to focus on and sign. Did not include anywhere for medical concerns or areas to avoid. The woman at the front desk was rushing me through this process as well. I was then told it would be a 20 min wait while leading me to the room. I agreed that was okay. She instructed me to go ahead and take off my clothes and wait on the massage table then left. I waited there on the table for 45 mins listening to very loud music that personally was not my taste and was not peaceful. After 45 mins someone finally came in and said sorry for the wait and put heated bags on my upper back and lower back and said it would be another 5 mins. 15 mins later (1 hr from my scheduled appointment time) the massage therapist came in - I do not know her name either. She asked me how long I wanted the massage and then as soon as she got started asked how it was but then no further interactions. The music during the massage was a little more soothing except for the fact that it kept skipping or getting turned on and off randomly. The massage itself was relaxing but it did feel very generic and was not tailored to any of my specific needs. When I was told it was done I noticed that my time was cut short by 10 mins. I was left alone to get changed and I went up front to pay. I was offered water when leaving which I appreciated. No offer was made to try and mitigate the long wait time and I paid full price for everything. I even tipped when paying for the massage and left cash tip for the massage therapist because I believe in doing so for any service work. It just would have been higher had I had an overall good experience which I unfortunately did not.

So for this review, I just need to say that telephoning and make an appointment for older folks (or at least this older lady) is easier or at least what we I am used to. So it wasn't ideal but I'm getting that perm! Arrived at the salon, it's in a really nice quiet spot, which is a preference for me. I waited only a few minutes before Ashley came out and got me. And then there was an interesting kind of walk-through maze to get where we needed to go. We were the only ones there in the back for a few minutes until another lady showed up who was a stylist. It was just very quiet and not very busy. It looked to me like maybe just a slow day. Ashley was very nice. She asked me what kind of perm I was looking for and I hadn't had a perm since I was a kid so about 30 years ago and we figured it out. Then she took me to the bowl, washed my hair and took me back and rolled me up. When it was all over and done with (less than half an hour) I was very pleasantly surprised. Now this was my first perm like I said in 30 years, and I had a couple spots that if I really wanted to take the time and go back and have her correct a couple places I could've done that but I think overall I chose not to do that for two reasons. First I wanted to take my time with this new opportunity and work with my hair that is normally very straight for the most part with a permanent and second I really feel like I could live with it. I had a straight area in the front and the back was definitely not, as curled as I was wanting. Now the kicker. I absolutely am going back to get another perm. I love my hair. It's super fun. I can blow it out straight and it has lots of body that it didn't used to have and I really love the it! It's fun like I said, and it's definitely something that I want to keep. I don't think I'll go back to straight hair again. It has been the end of May that I got my perm and there's still plenty of life in it. I will probably go back in the next couple of months for another perm. My hair wasn't damaged and it wasn't frizzy and it was overall a really great experience. The reason why I gave four out of five stars is that the salon was a little dusty, there wasn't much product to look at for someone like myself who has not been in the hairstylist game for a long time and I was looking for more support from the staff. I felt like they should've/could've been more proactive in that area instead of me needing to ask questions and then I kind of felt dumb so I just stopped where I was and I didn't ask any more questions about product or anything else like that. With all of the above mentioned in mind, I absolutely would suggest locks and lashes and like I said I'll be returning.

I have been going there for 6 years now. Just recently I started to work out again in my ...elder age...and was having an issue with my shoulder where I could not lift my arm for a couple months. She identified that I had a tight bicep whose ligament is attached up in the shoulder, gave me stretches to do after the massage, and ta-da! All better. Lori's massages are very custom to your body. Every day a person's body is holding itself a little different due to whatever it has been doing and she will identify problem areas easily. It is not just the same massage day over day. This is one of the things I like best. I can rest assured that she will find the issues. Seriously, she will take care of whatever problem area you have, will be quiet if that is what you like, ...sometimes I go to sleep.
