Honestly it was just plain terrible I went to get a perm and my nails done the perm was going ok…read morebut then I said something she must have taken offense to because you could feel the tension and the change, at my priority appointment we had discussed doing a perm this time so she said I won't cut your Hair today I will just trim it up so when you come for your perm we can cut it then...fast forward to perm appointment she drenched my back and she told me that I was only here for a perm not a hair cut that was a separate service she left me soaking wet and sent me on my way to the nail tech this was not my normal tech and honestly I am so devastated my nails are and have always been thin and just not good Shyann made them beautiful and actually helped so much this person ruined them and they are sooooo ugly now I just want to cry when I look at them I literally left the salon with tears rolling down my face I got in my car cold wet and crying and the fact that they knew and no one has called to see how to make it right or keep my business is shocking but par for the level of professionalism here I will never go back and will let everyone i talk to know by showing my nails (they speak volumes)

I was skeptical at first about the hand therapy but it's amazing how effectively it (somehow) relaxed my body enough for the deep and varied massage techniques to help. I recommend people consult with Rosy and give it a try. As with everything, you have to be open for something to work. I was out of necessity and I am so glad/grateful for it. To be out of pain and have more energy feels almost miraculous. I'd also like to comment on the negative reviews. I am 100% certain Rosy wants more than anything for someone to feel better, and her prices for what she gives (and her experience) are much too low. I've seen many people take advantage of her generosity and her policy of having people come back for free if they're not satisfied. It's sad. She is not at all about the money; I'm confident that if there was a *sincere* issue it was a misunderstanding and she would work through it with you. I would also say that if you only want a simple service and don't want her to go too deep then let her know beforehand or, better yet, schedule with someone else so she can focus her time on people who need a higher level of help. She is open to that conversation - she wants people to be happy with her/their service. And the language can be a barrier if too rushed - make sure you're clear about the treatment you want and your expectations. But again I would recommend being open to her advice and to the hand-herb therapy - I'm sure she'd even let you try it for free or at a reduced price. As a former athlete who has seen many quality practitioners of all kinds in the past, I was amazed at how effective it is and want to research more so I can understand it better. In my opinion, it's much better than paying for overrated doctors (not al but many!) and easy and expensive meds with side effects. Sometimes they're necessary but often not, in my experience. If you're in pain or struggling with something, again, I would say be open and give it a try. You might be very pleasantly surprised like I was. Very thankful to feel healthier and more energetic again!

The woman at the front was nice, and had me fill out a form and draw where exactly I had the most pain and wanted them to focus; which I said was my lower back and glutes. Once I was laying on the table, the owner came in and very quickly talked me into a "patch" treatment, with a 30 minute massage. An extra $20. I really tried to say no, but she pushed that the massage wouldn't be enough and I gave in. The "patches" were pieces of masking tape with seeds and herbs under them, taped onto my hands. $50!! When that was over, the massage finally started, and the majority was on my shoulders. I kept commenting that my sciatica was bad, and the few moments she did my lower back I was saying it was nice and to do more, saying repeatedly that that's what hurt. She continued doing my shoulders. I was honestly relieved when it was over, and when I stood up to get dressed, my lower back was somehow stiffer, and had barely been touched. I tried to get dressed without messing up the tape on my hands, without success. When I went to pay, I was visibly confused and upset, and was asked "how much tip"? I have never in my life not tipped, but I was going to. I gave her a $10. Then the owner came to the front and saw I was upset and gave me a partial refund, which I did genuinely appreciate. Even with the money back, I feel like I wasted money and time, and my back still kills. What's the point of the form before the appointment if you're not going to massage where I said I wanted? The ladies were both very sweet, and I am thankful for the refund for the "patches", but I won't be back.

I have issues with Sciatica and these stretches definitely help loosen up the area and I have less pain. I would highly recommend her to anyone!

So for this review, I just need to say that telephoning and make an appointment for older folks (or at least this older lady) is easier or at least what we I am used to. So it wasn't ideal but I'm getting that perm! Arrived at the salon, it's in a really nice quiet spot, which is a preference for me. I waited only a few minutes before Ashley came out and got me. And then there was an interesting kind of walk-through maze to get where we needed to go. We were the only ones there in the back for a few minutes until another lady showed up who was a stylist. It was just very quiet and not very busy. It looked to me like maybe just a slow day. Ashley was very nice. She asked me what kind of perm I was looking for and I hadn't had a perm since I was a kid so about 30 years ago and we figured it out. Then she took me to the bowl, washed my hair and took me back and rolled me up. When it was all over and done with (less than half an hour) I was very pleasantly surprised. Now this was my first perm like I said in 30 years, and I had a couple spots that if I really wanted to take the time and go back and have her correct a couple places I could've done that but I think overall I chose not to do that for two reasons. First I wanted to take my time with this new opportunity and work with my hair that is normally very straight for the most part with a permanent and second I really feel like I could live with it. I had a straight area in the front and the back was definitely not, as curled as I was wanting. Now the kicker. I absolutely am going back to get another perm. I love my hair. It's super fun. I can blow it out straight and it has lots of body that it didn't used to have and I really love the it! It's fun like I said, and it's definitely something that I want to keep. I don't think I'll go back to straight hair again. It has been the end of May that I got my perm and there's still plenty of life in it. I will probably go back in the next couple of months for another perm. My hair wasn't damaged and it wasn't frizzy and it was overall a really great experience. The reason why I gave four out of five stars is that the salon was a little dusty, there wasn't much product to look at for someone like myself who has not been in the hairstylist game for a long time and I was looking for more support from the staff. I felt like they should've/could've been more proactive in that area instead of me needing to ask questions and then I kind of felt dumb so I just stopped where I was and I didn't ask any more questions about product or anything else like that. With all of the above mentioned in mind, I absolutely would suggest locks and lashes and like I said I'll be returning.

What upset me the most was my interaction with the salon owner. I felt the conversation became hostile, and I was uncomfortable when they laughed during the discussion. I also didn't appreciate comments made about another stylist's professional opinion. Instead of feeling heard or respected as a customer, I left feeling embarrassed and disappointed. Based on my personal experience, I would not return or recommend this salon. I have been going there for 6 years now. Just recently I started to work out again in my ...elder age...and was having an issue with my shoulder where I could not lift my arm for a couple months. She identified that I had a tight bicep whose ligament is attached up in the shoulder, gave me stretches to do after the massage, and ta-da! All better. Lori's massages are very custom to your body. Every day a person's body is holding itself a little different due to whatever it has been doing and she will identify problem areas easily. It is not just the same massage day over day. This is one of the things I like best. I can rest assured that she will find the issues.
