Amy is very friendly, and her atmosphere is exactly as it should be when you're getting a massage: tranquil, dim, comfortable, and with relaxing music in the background. I had never tried the hot rock option before and my goodness, I will never get another massage without it! I got an hour-long, full body, Swedish massage (thanks, Groupon!) and it felt far too short, when I've had massages the same length that felt like they took forever. There was also a dab of lavender placed under my nose for a relaxation technique; another option was eucalyptus. I have the feeling that I will not have a massage that can live up too well to Amy's technique!
What to expect: The business is located within a building, in a single room, where outside there is an arm chair, a coffee/tea bar, and a table set up with an arrangement of different spiritual and holistically therapeutic artifacts, including a few flags that describe various chakras. The room itself has a sign to let you know when there's a client in session, and there is also a very cool, large bell to ring for assistance. It might look a little odd compared to places like Massage Envy, but don't let that deter you.
Her rates are very reasonable. Groupon afforded me $30 for a 60-minute session, and the regular price is $65, which is a typical rate. And, during the month of your birthday, your massage costs only $40! Pretty cool. I'll definitely be back! read more
