For the appetizer I had the fries with aioli sauce along with their calamari both delicious and. For the main course I had the crab cakes which were good as well and for dessert I had the banana split and the bread pudding which is what drove me to leave a review. I felt that the cookie under the split should have been warm and the bread pudding should have been as well since both had ice cream on top it would have been the perfect send off. Such an great dining experience at Eclipse. Went for my birthday and have nothing but great things to say. To start our server, Nicolas, gave us exceptional service... honestly the best service I've had. He made great recommendations and gave us complimentary lemon cello and their monthly cello for desert along with delicious biscotti. He was attentive without being overbearing and came over to our table with a purpose making it a relaxing and easygoing experience. I am a former server of 8 years so appreciate the exceptional service and experience. The food was also excellent. We got 2 orders of the scallops, the pappardelle, and newly added mahi. All were delicious! The appetizers, beef kabobs and poke were also delicious. Overall, nothing but great things to say. We will be returning! First time dining here and won't be our last! read more

Great ambiance. David was so pleasant when he sat us and Aleah is potentially the BEST server I have experienced as a diner. The food was dynamite. I subbed fries for the creamed spinach with the Rib Eye and that was the right move in my mind. The bread served was delicate and flavorful. We also very much enjoyed the Bolognese. Oh yeah and the Shrimp Tacos as a starter, fabulous! All accompanied by a bottle of Michael David Petite Petit which paired wonderfully with the bolognese but surprisingly not so great with the steak. All in all and incredibly enjoyable evening right down to the conversation with an older couple seated next to us who were very popular as they had many other guests stop by their table to chat. For my first time going to Eclipse Bistro I had high expectations. Of course I googled ahead the menu and reviews of the place to see any red flags. I saw none and experienced none! Such friendly hospitality, an atmosphere of smiling faces all around not just from the staff but people sitting and having a good time. What a delicious burger, the Eclipse Burger, here! I live nearby, but didn't know of this spot until I saw it on Yelp. It's a delightful place for lunch, with excellent service from Raegan. Nice to have an oasis for an hour. The burger was one of my favorites of all time, right up there with the Capital Burger in DC. It's all about the meat and the cooking. The fries were tasty and spiced, too, and the iced tea with a slice of orange was delish! Highly recommend this place. read more

The restaurant is small and dark, the drinks Cosmo Blanco was delicious. The appetizers buffalo chicken spring rolls and shrimp were very good. I order the crab cake and it was disappointing. They where small with a lot of filler and over cooked. I got a small potion of roasted potatoes and green bean on top of a large amount of tartar sauce which was all you could taste. We are newish to Wilmington and saw the outdoor seating for this restaurant go up. Currently we only eat outside or take our food to go. We also prefer more independent restaurants over national chains. On a random Wednesday 3 members of our family had off so we decided to walk here for lunch. Service was quick and friendly. And the food was delicious. The crispy calamari had a fantastic sauce on it. The blue cheese dressing on the wedge salad was the freshest dressing we've had in a long long time. Even though I had brushed much of the dressing to side of my plate...my family scooped it up to eat with the burger. We also had a salmon salad that isn't pictured. All food was delicious. This restaurant is another one of those Delaware's hidden secret. The ambiance is nice and the place is very clean. The waiting staff were also very attentive and good. The food here overall is good. I got the duck and it was perfect. The reason for the 4 and not the 5 stars is because of the other food I tried. My friend got the chicken and it was cooked extremely dry. My other friend got the scallops which were perfect but the beet risotto that came with the scallops were weird and not the best. We all at the table would prefer a regular risotto to the beet one they served. We also got desserts and they are very good. We got the apple crisp and it was delicious. I've been wanting to try Eclipse for a while and am so glad I finally had the chance. My husband and I took off together on a Monday and wanted to grab lunch. Not much is open in Wilmington on Monday's so we were kind of at a loss on where to go. I pulled up one of my yelp collections and the first on the list was Eclipse and they were open :) that made our decision easy. We went in around noon and it was pretty empty. The server let us choose our spot and we went with a table in the very back corner, away from the door. We stuck with water to drink after a rough weekend. For starters, my husband had the special soup which was a black bean soup. It was very tasty and porky. We also had PEI mussels. The broth on the mussels was absolutely amazing, I only wish I had a whole loaf of bread to soak it up with, lol. My husband had the mushroom burger & fries, I had the grilled salmon salad. Both entrees were great. The burger was cooked perfectly and the fries and aioli super tasty. My salad was really unique, savory and filling. We will definitely return sometime for dinner. read more

Finally tried Eclipse Bistro for a recent Friday night date night and had a great experience. We made a last-minute decision to go out for dinner, but we were actually able to walk in around 645 without issue. The restaurant did fill up within the next hour, so I'd imagine reservations are better if it's after 7 PM on a peak dinner night. Though the appetizer selection features a number of enticing meat-centric options, we somehow settled on sharing the brussels sprout and cauliflower app. It was the BEST decision of our meal. We devoured the plate of flash-fried brussels and cauliflower with almonds, crispy pieces of prosciutto, and a delicious honey-paprika dressing. I would return to Eclipse for this app alone, and next time, I'm not sharing it. For entrees, I chose the ahi tuna, which had a great sear while maintaining the raw center. The fried rice served along with it was good, though nothing exciting. BF got the corn agnolotti in brown butter with lumps of crab meat, and the pasta was delicious! We finished the night with the s'mores bread pudding, which was delicious, though way more rich and chocolate-y than I had been expecting. Though a bit pricey, we overall enjoyed our meal and would definitely go back. read more
