Ok, so here is the update... they did fix the lights; turns out there was short caused by someone…read moreleaving the trunk open in the rain which is apparently why there was about a foot of water in the wheel well in the trunk. They did not however ever fill up the gas tank. So we took delivery of a vehicle with no gas... even after getting it fixed when they could have taken it next door and filled up they didn't. The tire sensor appears to have gone out according my BF - I guess when they fixed the short, it fixed that as well... The dealer kept hassling me for a binder and I told them that when we got the car back and were confident that we were going to keep it, I would provide them with the binder but that there was no need to add it to my insurance if we weren't going to keep it. Another thing that came up... a major accident repair was not disclosed to us upon purchase, nor did it appear in the Auto Check report (recall that's what we got when we asked for the Car Fax). But, apparently my insurance agent, while adding it to my policy found that there had been a major repair for body work costing over 9K. That was hard to believe considering that is half the worth of the vehicle (new ones NOW sell for 18K base) - I thought if a repair cost that much that they would just total a vehicle. Anyway, the failure to disclose does not sit well with me, but again, it is the BF's car; asked if he still wanted it and he said yea... so, we still have it... I would have turned it back over tot he dealer and gone and gotten the other one of which I spoke in Arlington. Although I said I might bump up the star rating, because of the failure to disclose the major repair and car history I have to keep it here. Am actually tempted to drop it, but, they were prompt in repairing the lights and the little guy who did it actually seemed quite good. So there is the update... bottom line is buyer beware; but that's really applicable I think to ANYONE when dealing with auto dealers. If I had to do anything different, knowing now what I know, anytime I go to purchase another used vehicle, I will be calling my insurance agent first since they have no vested interest in the transaction and in this case, found what apparently the dealer and Auto Check couldn't. Extremely Disappointed - Beware…read more I would not recommend this dealership based on my experience. I was sold a vehicle that the dealership later asked me to return because they didn't have the title and were unable to register it with the MVA. I was told by both the salesperson and the manager that I would be refunded my original deposit which I paid 2k and the monthly payment I had already made . Been paying it for 4 month of $688 They then had me purchase another vehicle, which required me to pay an additional $650 deposit. Since then, I have been trying to get confirmation on how and when my refund will be processed. Every time I call, no one gives me an answer. Even worse, whenever I ask to speak with the manager, the call gets disconnected. Whether they're hanging up intentionally or not, it's incredibly unprofessional and unacceptable. Customer service should not disappear the moment there's a problem. Simply wants to get a confirmation I hope the dealership addresses this issue and contacts me immediately to resolve my refund. But will push this matter

I went into carmax and started their process, it took about 45 minutes and the salesman really beat me up I felt like, hammered me about the cars miles, the condition, error codes etc.. The offer was low and after the barrage I told him let me go across the street and see what they offer. I drove literally across the street and met Mark and started the cash money process. After about 15 minutes he was back and said he liked the car and offered me $200 over the Carmax price, I told him another $200 and we had a deal and we shook on it and I couldnt have been happier. That jump across the street yielded me another 400$ and I got the check that day. Mark helped me unload my trunk and clean out the car AND drove me back home. I cant say enough nice things about CMC. We first made an appointment and when we arrived, my husband waited over 2 hours for the attendant to tell him they couldn't see him that day. When we came, we waited another 2 hours. Then when I went back to the desk to check the status of our appointment, they said they may not be able to see us today. They did not keep us updated , nor cared how long we drive to get there, and that we had an appointment. Once we walked to our car to leave, they decided to take the white couple that was awaiting behind us. We knew because when we started our car, we saw the attendant get then ready for a test drive. This was the worst customer service ever and I DO NOT RECOMMEND this location to anyone. Very inconsiderate and no customer service! We told the Laurel CarMax location that we actually had a check to purchase a car with and didn't need a loan, and they didn't care. My husband and I ended up going to a dealership, making an appointment, and actually being seen at the time we made the appointment. We walked out of there with our car!

The excuse? They "rounded," used a 21-day payoff instead of the standard 15, and passed on loan company fees to the seller. None of this was disclosed up front. Also, their hours are listed wrong--they close at 7, not the time posted online or on the door. I found that out the hard way. Bottom line: Do your own math, double-check everything, and be ready to call out the BS (not Gus--he's solid). Personally, I'd recommend going across the street to from carmax instead.
