Not the healthiest meal I had in Oahu, but damn it was good. I've been plant based for nearly 20 years and love to travel and try vegan food. I had so many spots I wanted to try around Oahu, and Earth Aloha Eats was one of them. I decided to order it via Uber Eats after taking a surf lesson (I was SO hungry, and wasn't up for the walk from my hotel!), and it was literally the perfect meal after this. I went all in haha! There were so many meals I wanted to try and can't wait to be back to try more. This visit, I ordered the Aloha Burger and Pulled Pork Fries. I will be DREAMING about these fries until I'm back on the island. And the Aloha Burger was so filling that I saved half for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it later. This is one of the absolute best places for vegan or vegetarian food in Waikiki! It's a food truck that's tucked in an area that has a ton of food trucks so you might have a tough time finding it but I promise it's there. I rolled up and ordered and was not disappointed. At first, I was a little incredulous of the super high prices, especially for vegan or vegetarian food, but frankly that's anywhere in Waikiki. And the amount of food you get is not shabby at all. Makes it a bit messy. -Greek Aloha Plate - This plate is huge. It has falafels, house tzatziki, pita, hummus, and rainbow coleslaw (which was weird but I welcomed the idea). Here's the thing. The falafels were not good, at all. Could be my fault for hoping to get decent falafel on Maui or it could have just been bc it was closer to the end of the day. They were hard, burnt, and SUPER dry. Great vegan eatery in Waikiki. It's a food truck in a parking lot. I happen to work near by and decided I'd try this place since my coworker who's vegan recommended it. We ordered to go fish tacos, fish fillet sandwich, and bbq pork fries. Don't be fooled by all the names because the entire menu is vegan!! All plant based food but it tastes great and just like their names. As soon as you finish ordering your food is freshly prepared right away. Every item we ordered came out piping hot. I got the fish sandwich for myself. The fish sandwich was large and the fish inside was crispy and sauce was not overwhelming. I also got crème brûlée for dessert. My only complaint would be the crème brûlée the top was burnt, so it was hard to eat a bit, but the flavors were there, it tasted great and was not overly sweet. Worst service ever. The open sign was on but there was a small closed sign in the window. The guy came out a few times talking to his buddies but never acknowledged other people in line. After about 15 minutes of waiting and he came out my husband asked if he was open and he said "yeah in a minute bro". Was rude. So we waited and waited. Finally I called and the guy was the same guy and was super rude. I started by asking when the location would open and he said it was open. He said he had to go get gas or something when I asked if he was open and he said yes then I asked why the windows were still closed and the closed sign was in the window. He replied with "AS I SAID, we are open" I hope this gets to management. See my reviews, I am always positive and give people the benefit of the doubt. But in this case it was unacceptable behavior and cost the business the rest of my business while in maui. We went to the other location yesterday when we got into town and it was the same guy and we didn't have any problems. This location is right by our hotel and this is so disappointing. I first saw Earth Aloha Eats online a few days ago before deciding to order. I was literally drooling at the pictures posted on the website and from other customer reviews and pics. I could hardly wait until the next day, as i thought of how delicious the food would be. I placed the order in the morning. So, this order was highly anticipated. I ordered the Greek and the Epic Iced Hibiscus. The order was on time, but the manner in which it arrived is one of the reasons why I am fuming and needless to say, disgusted. The pictures I've included will show that the delivery person (Door Dash) was not in any way, shape, or form, careful with the condition of the food. It came exactly the way the photo shows. The Epic Iced Hibiscus was not Iced. Ice was all melted by the time it got to me. I get it that this person had to make another stop before delivering mine, but, seriously! Measures must be in place to ensure the food gets to the customer in good, if not better, condition. I mean, I took one look at my plate, and I was pretty upset. I was hungry, so of course, I had to eat. But I did not have a pleasant experience. Oh, and another thing, the straw was not encased in paper or plastic (like most straws should be). So, not using the straw. Na uh! Other places I've ordered drinks from not only provide a covered straw but also cover the opening of the drink to prevent contaminants. Oh, I forgot to mention both the container of food and the drink were not in a bag!!! Whaaaat?!?!! As for the food (if I can even call it that), when I finally found the hummus buried under the mess of food, it was in a tiny itsy bitsy, cheap paper "cup" container. If you ever had to sample frozen yogurt or ice cream, that is the cheap paper "cup" I'm talking about.. Really?!?! For the amount of food I paid for and all I get is a tablepsoon of hummus?! Sad sad and pretty darn pathetic. The falafel was dry and lacked flavor. Quite frankly, I have not been very satisfied with most falafels i've eaten, except for the ones from the Döner Shack. Their's is pretty decent. I understand the poor condition that the food arrived in is the responsibility of the delivery person, but pls! The hummus served like that! And the falafel needs to be palatable. C'mon! Does the restaurant even care to ensure that before the food leaves the place it is bagged properly, which means, in this case, the drink is covered for sanitary reason as well as providing a clean, covered straw, and the delivery person has a good reputation to deliver the food with respect and professionalism? If you don't care for all that, then it seems you don't care about your customers. This review does not deserve 1 star, but I could not post the review without clicking 1. I will not be ordering from Earth Aloha Eats anytime soon. read more
