I should have read the reviews before coming here. Pretty disappointing experience with Earnhardt Jeep in Gilbert. I brought my Jeep in with two concerns: a check engine light and a steering issue. I was told they charge a separate $250 diagnostic fee for each issue, meaning $500 just to diagnose the vehicle before any repairs. In this economy? Plus, They do not offer any loaner vehicles while repairs are being done. For comparison, when I went to the Camelback Jeep location, they pulled the diagnostic code for me at no charge and then let me decide whether I wanted to pay for further diagnostics or proceed with service. That felt much more transparent and customer-friendly. The dealership itself is also pretty bare bones compared to other dealerships I've visited. There are no complimentary snacks, only a pots of coffee, and any other drinks or snacks have to be purchased. Even the showroom was underwhelming this visit. They usually have something fun to look at like a 392 or Rubicon, but this location had just a Wagoneer and a Charger. I understand dealerships charge for technicians' diagnostic time, but $500 in diagnostic fees for two concerns on the same vehicle during the same appointment is excessive, especially given the overall lack of amenities or anything that makes this feel like a quality dealership service experience. When it's time for a trade-in, I will not be coming to this dealer. read more

Brought my vehicle in as the wipers would turn on randomly. They had my car for over a week and replaced a module and did updates. Since the software updates the car pulls hard right. They tried to give me the car back and I had the manager test drive it with me to see it still pulls. They told me that it's supposed to do that, it's a dead man's feature so you veer off the road if you fall asleep at the wheel. Absolutely ridiculous. Car is not drivable as your arm gets sore holding I'd town and to the left to go straight. Do not purchase a vehicle here. Do not bring a car here for service. ***Update***. Chapman was able to fix the car within 48 hours. Dodge will be calling Earnhardt to discuss their incompetence and gaslighting. read more

I've had 2 issues with Earnhardt CDJR over the last 10 months. I've been a service customer for several years now and there seems to have been a decline in workmanship over the last year. Both vehicles have the MAX care warranty plans. Here is my experience. On 12/12/25, I took my 2023 RAM 1500 in for a tire rotation and oil change. I received the truck back with a damaged rim. The truck is equipped with factory 20" black painted rims and it was clear to me the impact they used to remove the wheel chipped the paint around the lug nut holes. Before I left I alerted the service advisor and the service manager met me outside--I believe his name was Josh. He first claimed the damage occurred from road debris but eventually agreed to repair it after we reviewed photographs taken before it went into service showing zero existing damage. I had to call multiple times over the next few weeks to get any follow-up. The wheel was eventually repaired on 1/10/26 and they did an excellent job, but I was disappointed that I had to play phone tag to prompt any sort of follow-up to their promise. Fast forward to July 2026: My wife's 2022 JGC went in for A/C issues on 7/29/26. They found the evaporative coil was bad and both valve cover seals were leaking. The evap coil was back-ordered, so they fixed the seals, and we picked it up on 8/4/26 with no working A/C. On 8/18/26, we took it back as the new coil arrived. An R&R on the evap coil requires pulling the dash from the firewall--complex and time-intensive. The work was finished on 8/21/26. When I picked it up, it was delivered with the following problems: a) The knee bolster airbag cover was broken and dangling freely b) Center console/dash transition plastic was not correctly overlapped c) Uconnect mic no longer worked. I had Randy (Service Advisor) inspect the plastic problems. He had techs fix the center console plastic and told me they'll need to order a new knee bolster, temporarily affixing the airbag cover so it didn't interfere with driving. It went back on 9/3/26 to fix the mic issue and replace the knee bolster. My wife picked it up on 9/4/26 to find that the new knee bolster and the passenger side dash plastic next to the center stack (Radio/AC controls) had been damaged. I'm assuming they pulled the center stack to troubleshoot the mic. It appears as if they used a screwdriver instead of the proper PLASTIC tools to remove the center stack and install the knee bolster. My wife spoke with the service manager (Josh) before she left. He told her they'll replace the damaged plastic. So far, we've received no follow-up and haven't decided if we'll take it back because I am not confident the pieces will be replaced without further issues. It appears to be the same carelessness I saw with my truck. There is no reason a vehicle should be returned in worse condition than it was left in. What happened to Quality Control inspections? Our JGC should have never been delivered with plastic visibly falling off the dashboard under the steering column where it could interfere with safe vehicle operation. I understand the evap coil R&R is complex and things happen, but there should be no reason for multiple trips back for workmanship issues. Earnhardt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram - Gilbert 1521 E Drivers Way, Gilbert, AZ 85297 I took my Jeep in for a routine oil change. Immediately after, it leaked a significant amount of oil all over my garage and engine compartment. I immediately returned it to the dealership. Over the following days, I asked for answers, documentation, photos of the failed part, and an independent inspection. Here's what I got: No photos of the allegedly failed O-ring. The O-ring was discarded before I could have it independently inspected. My request for the vehicle to be towed to an independent mechanic was denied. My request for a one-year warranty to stand behind their conclusion that no engine damage occurred was denied. When I asked why they wouldn't provide a warranty, I was told, in substance: "We don't know if you're going to go home, drain all the oil out of your engine, destroy it, and then bring it back here trying to get a new engine." That statement stunned me. As a single mom, my vehicle isn't a luxury, it's how I get to work, show homes, provide for my daughter, and keep my family safe. I wasn't looking for a fight. I was looking for accountability. After my vehicle experienced a major oil leak immediately following a routine oil change, I came looking for accountability and peace of mind. Instead, I was treated as though I might intentionally sabotage my own vehicle. I do expect honesty, transparency, and respect. I walked into this dealership expecting to become a loyal customer. I walked away knowing I'll never return. I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision before trusting this dealership with their car RESPONDING TO Luke My original comments regarding single mothers reflected how I felt during the interaction, not an accusation about your company's hiring practices. But refusing a 1year engine warranty because "I could go home, drain all the oil, and destroy my engine" is hard to understand when that's exactly what your team did to my engine!! If you're so confident this leak didn't cause damage to my engine, then warranty it. The fact that you're defending it without an ounce of care is gross. Regarding your comments about my behavior, I acknowledge I was frustrated. Finding oil covering my garage floor and my engine immediately after routine maintenance would upset most vehicle owners. My frustration was directed at the situation and to make matters worse, your Service Manager, Josh Utley, said they reason he wouldn't warranty it was be I could vandalized my own engine in an attempt to obtain a new one. Being treated as though I would intentionally damaged my own vehicle, after bringing it in for nothing more than a routine oil change, was both offensive and completely unacceptable. To date, my garage floor still has not been cleaned as promised. Jay Underwood, your General Manager, confirmed in writing that this would be taken care of, yet it remains unresolved. Still waiting for the call from the tech to come clean up the oil.... This all started after a botched oil change the dealer did and caused the car to smoke out multiple lanes of traffic and then get towed back to the dealer. No explanation of why but it hasn't run right since. We keep bringing it back and the surging while at low throttle, surging while cruising and overall lack of power has been constant for 3 years. They claim it's by design yet we have never been in another Charger that does this. But no check engine light means all must be good even though it clearly isn't. read more

I am extremely disappointed with how the Sales Department at Earnhardt Dodge in Gilbert handled what should have been a straightforward customer service issue. In 2022, we purchased a brand-new Dodge Charger from this dealership. During the detailing process before delivery, one of the dealership employees accidentally sliced open the dashboard on my brand-new car. Instead of replacing the damaged dashboard, it was repaired. At the time, the repair didn't look exactly the same, but the difference was minor enough that I accepted it and moved on. Fast forward to 2026, and the exact area they repaired has split back open--only now it looks much worse than it ever did before. On top of that, the trim on my door is popping out as well. In my opinion, neither of these issues should be considered "normal wear and tear" on a vehicle that was damaged by the dealership before I ever took ownership of it. What makes this experience even more frustrating is that our Service Advisor, Rick, went above and beyond for us. He did everything within his power to advocate on our behalf, fought to get this issue addressed, communicated with us professionally, and genuinely cared about making things right. Rick is the definition of excellent customer service, and he deserves recognition for his efforts because he did far more than anyone could have expected. Unfortunately, the Sales Department completely failed where Rick succeeded. Instead of standing behind their mistake and taking care of a loyal customer, they chose not to make things right. We have purchased MANY vehicles from this dealership over the years and have referred multiple friends and family members who also purchased vehicles here because of our recommendation. Loyalty apparently means very little when it comes time for the dealership to stand behind its own workmanship. It's incredibly disappointing that something the dealership caused before I even drove my new car off the lot has turned into an ongoing issue years later. This should have been handled properly from the beginning instead of patched together with a repair that ultimately failed. Customer loyalty is earned through accountability, not just making the sale. Sadly, the Sales Department showed us that once the paperwork is signed, standing behind their mistakes is no longer a priority. Thank you, Rick, for treating us with respect and fighting for us. You are the only reason this review isn't one star directed at everyone involved. Then called me when the tire was in and ready to install. Drove in a few days later, no wait time , and drove out with a brand new tire for free. Do not trust these people. 1) They had me drive 45 minutes out to their lot for a car that was already sold, so they could try and sell me on something else. 2) Much worse, I gave them another chance, found a car I liked, and negotiated a final price and everything, was ready to purchase, and only wanted to confirm what a specific "service" identified on car fax report was before sending them the $. The repair was at another dealer, so they would only share the repair details with Earnheart directly. When I asked for the records, the sales person reached out to the other dealer, and obtained the records and then sent to me. It only showed 2 of the 4 years of service records, and nothing significant, she said they only had records for 2 years. I did not trust her so I called the other dealer again, and asked if they had records for all 4 years which they confirmed. After a week of pestering the sales person, their manager, and others at the dealership as well as informing them the full records do exist, they finally obtained them and sent them to me. Ended up that the vehicle had had more than $10k in repairs from severe accident that didn't show up on general carfax. I think they knew this record existed and were trying to deceive me. I originally brought my car in to be serviced for the display going out, not only did they keep the car for multiple days which cost me time from my job but failed to diagnose it. I brought my car back for the same issue a month later and told them to just replace it and change the transmission oil. Got a call 2 days later that the repair was done and my engine oil was changed. Had to wait another 2 days because of a holiday to get my car back because they did the wrong service. After receiving my car back a few weeks later I noticed that my hood would not properly close and came to figure out that they broke the latch on the right side of my hood. Today I found that my window wash fluid is leaking out of my car and the container was cracked. Both of these things were not broken before I brought my car in. We had scheduled our oil change and tire rotation for its routine maintenance per our contract. They did the "5 point inspection" as well. On my way to this appointment my drive side front tire alert came on saying it was low. I drove to discount tire and they advised me I had a slow leak due to a nail but they couldn't get me in until tomorrow. I said fine and made an apt to fix it tomorrow. I went to my appointment at the dealership and when they told me it was done, I asked if they truly did the rotation and the inspection and she showed me the paperwork and said they had. She then asked me why I asked and I said because my front tire has a nail in it and it wasn't mentioned as an issue and if you really did the inspection it should have been mentioned. The lady was shocked and said she needed to speak with her manager. The lady returned and advised that they did find the nail but it was in the driver side rear tire which makes sense because they did actually do the rotation. She asked me if we would like them to patch it and I asked them how much it would be and they advised $30. I said fine just so I didn't have to go to discount tire tomorrow. I honestly have always believed that the dealership does a shit job on their committed service agreements and this proves it. Please tell me how do you miss a nail in a tire that is supposedly inspected and rotated. I am absolutely shocked and a little disappointed that at no point did a manager come to speak with me about this issue. I'm just hoping my car is actually getting the services required by them so it doesn't become an issue in the future... I honestly am shocked. How convenient and of course I tossed the invoice not knowing what was going to happen. Bought a used Jeep in January and brought it in to service for clicking noise. Appointment was made for Friday, was told it would sit until Monday. So I dropped it off Sunday night, for 7am Monday appointment and my car didn't get touched until middle of the day Monday. I was told the issue was resolved Tuesday evening and when I picked up my vehicle Wednesday, the issue was still present. I brought the concern up to the service advisor and he never responded to me. This service department is horrible with their lack of communication to customers and in addition to fixing things unrelated to the initial issue, they failed to complete a recall on my jeep at time of service. I went in to look at a used car thet had gotten traded in. I wanted to look at a Challenger Helcat with a manual transmission, a very rare combination. I had the pleasure of working with Laura. Laura to my surprise knew as much as I did about the vehicle. She also found out the vehicle was still in the process of being Saftey checked. Laura still arranged for me to see the vehicle, then when the safety check was completed road test the vehicle. She kept me informed the whole time and after any needed repairs were done gave me a very fare price, which was well within blue book pricing.
