Stopped by today to try the Royale Burger. I'm glad I did! It's a bit pricey but it's definitely worth it. Highly recommended!!! read more

Need a good summer patio place for lunch, or dinner. Earl's is here for you. I recommend try the Lobster + Prawn Roll with Yam Fries. So Delicious. Happy Hour menu is within everyone's budget. They even have days of the weeks specials to help you narrow down your decision making, Although their menu simple, how a menu for a elegant afternoon dinner should be. read more

Who runs out of Caesars and Burgers on a Monday evening? This place did. It was a huge disappointment because at least 2 out of my 4 people party wanted just that. Oh well. The server offered us Bloody Mary's instead. They were pretty good. We all just ordered some appy's and shared between pairs. Dynamite Rolls and Spinach dip for us, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Nachos for them. The food was alright (for us). The spinach dip was rather good, but the bread seemed a little stale and cold. Other party seemed to enjoy their food. Would like to try something else though, so Earl's isn't off the list yet! read more

Our server Daniel was absolutely amazing and ensured we were well taking care of during our whole service, always had full drinks, food delivery was well timed and he created a very fun atmosphere for us !!! read more

Still a great upscale urban space. High ceilings and open feel in the lounge area. Restaurant side is darker but cozy. Music thankfully was not too loud on a Sunday. They have a patio as well. Eggs Benny however was not good. The ham was too salty and overpowering. Note to chef: taste your food before you put it out. Blue Chair cafe has better eggs Benny. Cafe latte was not hot. Our server Tristan was very nice. 3 stars. read more

Earls Kitchen + Bar - Eggs Benny Looks good but ham is far too salty and not a good pairing with this meal. I would avoid it. - Canadian (New) Near Me - Edmonton, Alberta

Came here on a Thursday night and had to wait for 30-40 mins for a table. I loved the decor and ambience of the restaurant though. The servers are friendly as well. Have no complaints on the quality of their food but it took awhile before it was served. The drinks are great as well. If the service was faster I would've given 5 stars. read more

Let me just say that Earl's continues to impress us. Not just the consistency of the food but the people they find to ensure you feel like you are truly welcome here. This is the second time we moaned that one of our favourite share dishes was no longer on the menu yet they made the effort to go back to the kitchen to make one more for us. A big thanks to Angela and Matthew for looking after us like we were the only ones there, again. read more

This location often suffers from being inconsistent at best. I always get the same thing each time as I got there specifically for it and every time it is different and varies on the amount of food I get. It is a little alarming to be missing 1/3 of the chicken on your sandwich with an already paper thin breast and your fries look about 1/2 full but the last time they were over flowing and your chicken was a thick breast. I think I'll stick to the Sherwood Park earls because they have been more consistent. read more

I've been here multiple times and the food never fails to impress me. My favourite dish is probably the sushi and steak. Shoutout to Jill for bringing me some water into the washroom. I have really bad alcohol flush syndrome and have the tendency to throw up after alcohol consumption. She made sure I was okay and is a total sweetheart. read more

Great food, great people, reasonable prices. My favorite restaurant for over twenty five years! Love the Korean wings, chicken tacos, burgers, Jeera and Cajun chicken! Lots of wonderful memories from the campus location as I used to go there all the time both as a student and later as staff... I'm a regular at this location for the past four years now and love all the staff and how warm, friendly, and attentive they all are to me. Keep up the outstanding job everybody! See you all soon! read more

Awesome place love the atmosphere . Servers were nice and food came out fast and super tasty ! Will be coming back again !

Have been to a few of the restaurants over the holidays and thought i would post some pros and cons of each. A cool look. Nice design. A- Costumer service was top class. The waitress was Jadie who was very kind and respectful and did many things without prompting. The manager came and spoke with us aswell which was great and we talked about the world juniors and hockey in general as he must have seen us paying attention during our meal. The young man also made sure we were being well taken care of. A+ Food was alright. Drink refills took awhile as it was decently busy. B Washroom was very nice and upkeep was good. B+ Overall. I went to this Earl's location for a late lunch one day and ordered the Steak & Sushi. I had been eyeing it for some time and was very interested in trying the combination. I ordered the steak medium rare, but it came much closer to medium (there was no pink in the steak at all). Even the waitress noticed it didn't look medium rare and offered to take it back and get me a new one. I ate the Dynamite Roll while I waited for my new steak. Normally the Dynamite Roll has mango in it, but it looked more like it had some sort of melon in it. I asked the waitress if they'd changed what they put in the Dynamite Roll and she didn't think they had, but went to check with the chef. Turns out that they made the Dynamite Roll with an unripe mango instead of a ripe mango and it made a big difference. The waitress offered to take the Steak & Sushi off my bill, thank god. But happily the second steak was decently cooked and I was able to eat it. I'm happy that Earl's took the initiative to remove the meal from my bill, as it was very disappointing. But I would have preferred that they had made the meal correctly the first time. And I don't understand why they'd use an unripe mango in their Dynamite Roll. I would have expected the chefs would know better than that. read more

Had a lunch date with hubby and I really enjoyed my food. The ceasars salad is one of the best I've ever tasted, i am not so into salad but this one made a difference. My clam chowder is just right, I must say anove average but not excellent. My cajun baked salmon was the best. It's not dry and so tasty. The ambiance of the place is so cool and relaxing plus the serve was a sweetheart. Will definitely going back to this place and Next time I will try their Pasta. read more

I love Earls, but this location gives me a headache every... single ... time. When the food finally comes out, your drink has been dry forever. Even in the lounge. The food and drinks are good if you have the patience to wait. I always go back, because I forget about the slow service. Even when management traps you with a gift card, you still have to come back and deal with the service. read more

Went in Sunday 07/22/18 for a seriously needed hangover brunch, and sat at the bar. Our server Devon was absolutely AMAZING. Such a sweet dude, really on top of everything even though they got busy. I ordered the Avocado Toast Whatever-The-Heck sans egg and stupidly didn't realize my salad came with cheese, and he swapped me out for a fresh, crispy order of brekky potatoes with zero stress. Next time I'm in I'm sitting at the bar for sure, Devon is a real gem. Thanks again buddy! :-) read more

AMAZING!!!! The food quality is impeccable. I was eating straight ginger and I didn't care because the sauce was so good!!! The cheesecake melts in your mouth! It's so light and fluffy, unlike my love life. This satisfied me completely. 20/10. Love the cheesecake. For less coming back again. The food is seductive! read more

I don't usually write reviews, however this location deserves it. I've been to Earls a few times on Calgary trail, however I was not a fan of the new renovations or the service. So I thought I would give south common a try, and was I ever impressed. I came on a Saturday for brunch with my two sisters. It was quite busy but they seemed to still get us in right away on the patio. I had such an amazing time from the time I walked in till the time I left. I ordered the Chorizo Hash, it was delicious! Service was amazing! I want to thank Sydney for the lovely experience it was nice meeting you. I will for sure be back again. read more

This is by far the best Earls in town, very different from the experience I had with another one. It seems like the waitress can actually wear anything other than skimpy skirts and they even look more friendly. I had awesome service and the food was very good. It is a little bit far, but if you're taking your day to shop nearby, this should be a good place to have a break from it. read more

The waitress Amanda was amazing! So accommodating to different food requirements and extremely kind. The food was delicious and service was fast and friendly! Definitely will be coming back :) read more

I always have a good experience at this earls. Tonight was no exception. Justin the bartender was amazing. Thanks for a great meal!

Very good restaurant overall; strong menu & fair prices, however communication between the bar server who didn't want to turnover our tab to our dining table server, and then flustered waitress overall service prevented all stars. The concept is solid & missed in Arizona. Ps to Earls credit they reached out shortly after posting the above review & invited us back which we shall do shortly. I'm amazed how places don't reply on good or bad reviews. Well done Earls!! read more

The food and drink that we actually got was alright, nothing overly special. But they were out of both burgers and Clamato, and since we wanted burgers and Caesars... well that put a damper on things... read more

Slow & lousy service even during a slow night with only a few tables in the lounge. Our server didn't pay attention to refills, we had to get her attention every time. Extremely disappointing, will not be back to this location. read more

I end up going to at least one of the Earl's quite regularly. My fiancee rather enjoys Earls and friends like it too. If you know what's on the menu and you know what you like, there ought to be no problem. Caution to anyone who attempts a new feature, they swing a low average when bringing in new menu items. read more

Very nice modern atmosphere. Our server, a young guy, was excellent - very friendly and helpful. The risotto and appetizers we had were delicious, but they need to work on cooking steaks properly. 4 of 5 of us had steak that was very rare when they asked for medium-well. The server was great in taking it back, but it wasn't any better the 2nd time. They were courteous to take the dessert off the bill (had also sent one steak to someone else). However, if you're looking for great steak cooked just the way you like it, you probably want to go elsewhere. read more

We recently went to Earls at South Common and I had a terrible dining experience. Our food took about 40 minutes to arrive at our table. People who showed up after us, received their food before we did. When I mentioned this to our waiter, he said that ours was a big order and therefore it takes longer. We were a table 4?!?!? I could understand if we were a table of 8 or something like that. When our food did arrive, Everyone at my table received their food and had almost ate all of it before my beyond burger showed up. I asked to speak to the manager about my experience. When the manager, John, came over to my table, I told him about our experience and mentioned that after this experience we likely wouldn't return to Earls, he said he was sorry but he appeared apathetic to the whole situation. We used to come here to eat at least once a month but we will now take our money elsewhere. My recommendation is to take your money to a restaurant that values their customer and your business. Unfortunately, Earls South Common does not. read more

This review is a little bitter sweet - on the one hand I want to give them 1 star for the way my take-out order was handled and the lack of follow-up that I was assured I would receive the next day (and didn't get), and on the other hand I want to give them 5 stars for the way that their GM rectified the entire experience. My wife and I were going through a couple of really hard weeks with our newborn son being in the Intensive Care Unit at a hospital in Edmonton and were literally living at the hospital with him. We were eating one garbage meal after another so we decided to get a take out order from Earls of our favourite food (usually we eat at the Earls Claireview location). Anyway the order was definitely taken correctly but we ordered 4 orders of Los Cabos Chicken Tacos (2 with sides of parm dip and no extra Valentino Sauce drizzled on them), an order of Dynamite Rolls and a Spinach dip with extra bread: All 4 orders came regular and with no sides of parm dip. There was also no cutlery or napkins in the bag so I called the restaurant to inform them of the mistake and the manager tells me he was going to "call you 10 minutes ago" (saying that you were GOING to call someone isn't calling someone) "because we never gave you your spinach dip". I looked in the bag and sure enough they had given me a box full of the most stale, hard and burnt bread I had ever seen in my life but no dip for the Spinach Dip. The manager then went on to apologize and made some statement about how sometimes when you order later at night when the kitchen is getting ready to close mistakes happen... Then why have the kitchen open and where was the quality check by the MANAGER who went and got my order ready? Anyway, he assured me that I would receive a follow up call from the Restaurant Manger or the GM the next day (May 7th, 2015) to resolve the problems with my order. We went to eat the Tacos and honestly the soft shells of the Chicken Tacos were so hard around the edges we couldn't even bite it and the inner part of the shells were so rubbery that you couldn't even chew it so we hunted down some cutlery and just ate everything in the taco minus the shell. The next day I waited all day for a phone call and never received one so I emailed Earls head office in regards to my experience the following day (May 8th, 2015) and got an email back from their head office within an hour and shortly after that I got a phone call from the GM who seemed extremely sincere in his appolgy for not calling me the day prior and for how terrible our entire experience was. The GM literally came to the hospital with a full free lunch for my wife and I, the Kitchen Manger also came to express his apologies for the service I received from his kitchen and they also brought me an extremely generous Gift Card so that my wife and I could enjoy a full free meal at any Earls of our choice when we were able to go on a date. They definitely went above and beyond to try and rectify the entire experience we had and it was more than I had expected for sure! Earls definitely stands behind their service and food, it's just too bad that you have to go through so much to get the service you expect everytime you go to a higher end restaurant. read more

I was very unimpressed that they do not Offer booster seats or high chairs. I was actually asked by the hostess if I had brought my own...because of this reason I did not dine there and left to go somewhere that does offer high chairs...I think that it's sending a pretty clear message that earls doesn't want us to eat in their restaurant with my child. Very rude and I will not be going there again. If I could make my review a half star or zero I would. read more

We normally eat in the lounge at this restaurant because it is usually quite busy in the dining area. The ABSOLUTE best thing about Earl's is their Signature Caesar. The best in the city by far. The food is just OK with it being a little on the bland side. They could use a Clubhouse on their menu, or even add some flavor to their chicken fingers. The only suggestion is hot sauce which sometimes isn't what you want. Some real spices in the coating would be a nice addition. So if you go have a Caesar and maybe some chicken wings which are OK. read more

I went there Thursday around 6 and it wasn't too busy. The service was great and the staff were friendly. My fish tacos were bland but they brought me sour cream to try and make it better. My date had the cajun chicken and it was delicious. Im a big fan of fish tacos so the sub par tacos kind of put a bummer on the meal but other than that it was good. I'll give this location another chance in the future. read more

Although this time was very good, I was a bit skeptical at first due to an incident last year where the managers were not being accommodating to my grandfathers diabetes. However, my opinion was changed about this specific earls location. The food was very good, the drinks were well mixed, and the atmosphere was quite nice. Not to mention, our waitress Taylor was very polite and had our food and drinks over to us in a very reasonable time which for a Friday evening is quite rare. She also helped to clean up the table after I accidentally knocked over a glass of water. The restaurant and bathroom were both very clean, and I am glad to say my opinion of the restaurant has changed read more

The food was awful for our 3rd visit here, I know I won't be back. I ordered the creole steak and it was very overcooked, and the coleslaw (which the waitress forgot, along with my condiments and as well as my steak knife) was way over sauced. Nobody at our table finished their entree let alone their protein which ranged between chicken and fish. Suffice to say nobody enjoyed the food today; and the service was poor, especially when you consider they forgot so much of the order and we had to fetch our own utensils from the bar. We literally settled the bill, walked our client to his car and went to grab some fast food elsewhere. Not happy, nope. read more

I've gone to this location quite a few times and I've never had a bad experience! Today our server was absolutely fantastic. Terrible experience, ordered the Kung pao and found a really long hair in my food. After showing it to staff they refired me a new order. Disappointed with the experience read more

Decided to go to earls happy hour because nobody else's compares. But this time I was extremely disappointed. The service at this Earl's has never been good but this time it was worse than usual leaving me not want to visit this location again. We sat in the lounge and was greeted with menus within 2-3 minutes. The server didn't tell us her name and was noticeably inefficient. It took 10-15 minutes to receive 1 drink. After receiving this drink our server never returned so we decided to move to the bar; expecting better service..... nope. Nobody greeted us. Nobody offered us drinks. Decided to go to Joeys down the street instead and ended up being much better-highly recommend the crispy tofu bowl! read more

We had a very nice brunch. We were seated right away. We chose the Avocado Super Breakfast and the Chorizo and Mushroom Hash which we both enjoyed... My girlfriend and I along with her niece had dinner here this evening. Hostess was awkward and just staring while we waited for a table to become available. We ordered half pan bread to start and it ended up taking a lifetime and came out with our main course which made no sense to us. Food was great. Our server Alexis didn't leave a lasting impression.
