7.50 street chicken tacos
Janey T.

Really clean and pristine ambiance. I'd come here more for celebrations and to have a great time with others. I got the happy hour taco special (7.50$). THe street styled chicken reminded me of butter chicken - delicious! And the napkins had birds on them. Great restaurant!

We came to Earls Tin Palace patio after we spent some time down 104th street. The patio at this location is warm, large, and inviting. Honestly you always know what to expect when you come to Earls. We tried the new watermelon Bellini which really didn't taste like watermelon at all. I think I prefer the regular flavour they had before but that being said this one was not bad and it was really pretty. Classic rum and coke and a Moscow mule in a nice cold mug. For food we ordered the chicken tacos and the spicy tuna sushi. Both were good and tasty, satisfied our hunger. The patio has beautiful ambiance, lots of shields and distance between patrons, and warm warm warm!!! Overall I will definitely be back to Earls as it's a common one for me. I definitely recommend this patio if you want to have good space, warm heaters, cozy comfy seats and nice lighting.

Moscow Mule - vodka ginger and fresh lime. Can you go wrong?

It is so true what they say - when you go to a restaurant you tend to order the tried and true. Well I got pushed out of my comfort zone at Earls when we got a chance to take part in a Chefs Table - where the head chef decides what you are eating and drinking for the evening. Earls has a few new things on the menu which we had the opportunity to try.... we started the evening with an amazing cocktail to help set the mood - a Moscow Mule. Marcel, our server suggested it would be perfect with the upcoming meal and he was not mistaken. The fresh salad with champagne vinaigrette, baby tomatoes and feta for a hint of saltines was a nice way to start the meal. A perfect side with any meal you would order. We then moved to soups. The new Sunchoke with the garlic croutons Is totally worth having (gluten free if you don't add the croutons!) or the traditional Clam Chowder. How do you choose? That chowder has beat out competitions in Boston! We stuck to the seafood theme with Dynamite Rolls and Poke. Both amazing. The Poke is great for sharing with big chunks of tuna, mango, avocado. I was in love. And Marcel was fantastic again and paired this with a great Chardonnay. Then we moved to the seafood entree. Salmon cooked to perfection with jasmine rice and asparagus. And we still weren't done. Cajun Chicken with the coleslaw and famous warm potato salad and Chicken Hunan came next. And then an amazing selection of desserts. My favourite being the new one on the menu - the banana cake. But really how do you wrong with cheesecake or sticky chocolate toffee pudding??? But in the end the Chefs Table is more than about the food though. Oh don't get me wrong. The food is spectacular - when I return to Earls next time I won't be getting the same thing I've been getting for the past 20 years. But it's the experience. I got to know the head chef Riley who chatted with us and told us stories about how the food was created, the other chefs, and working at Earls. We had an evening, not just a meal. If you get a chance to take part in something like this remember to step out of your comfort zone, say yes and enjoy the opportunity.

Steak night on Wednesday a good deal. I always order my steak done a bit weller than normal because they under cook it here.

I mean it's Earls. What else am I supposed to say? It is easy and I like it. I think their food is great, I love the ambience, they are big, they are trendy and they have a great selection of alcohol. Additionally, they have parking which I appreciate on busy Jasper Ave. I love coming to this location because of their happy hour specials. I could live off of them! The thing that earls needs to work on simply is the service. It's just too hit and miss for me to even give an answer. I typically experience the best service in the lounge and the worst on the patio. That could be due to the volume of people. One thing I do love, however, is the different spaces in the restaurant. You can sit at the bar, at the lounge, patio, restaurant, indoor patio and event at the kitchen looking to see the Chefs. I love it. Of course I'll be back!

Bacon, cheddar & mushroom burger. Need I say more was awesome.

Another awesome patio experience. Excellent staff and awesome food. We started off at Cactus Club and then the Alberta Health Inspector closed them down. So it was a no brainer. Off to the awesome patio at Earls Tin Palace. They never disappoint. Thank you for our wonderful lunch

I had the sushi cali roll and full seafood chowder and I have been sick with the runs since! we ate on Friday night at 6 pm and it is now Sunday morning at 1:39 and I'm still sick to my stomach. won't be eating at Earle's ever again!

Dear Earls, I am absolutely addicted to your beef bibimbap. The sad truth is that this amazingly delicious dish is only available at your "flagship" restaurants. That's ok, I can deal. I'm not even going to dock any stars for the challenging parking situation, because frankly, even if I had to walk 5 blocks (2 in heels), I'd give you the same rating. Because bibimbap. We always order a cold and delicious craft beer with lunch. Thank you for having excellent choices available. I will tell you that your washrooms here are amazing (a whole room to yourself, perfectly clean, nicely decorated and definitely selfie-worthy!) The service was, and is always, on par. Hubby had some chicken-something-or-other sandwich. It looked delish, he said it was really good and then proceeded to procure the rest of my bibimbap sauce to dip it in. Because bibimbap. Pro tip: Allow your bibimbap to sit for a minute before stirring the sauce into it. This will allow the outer edges of the rice against the hot bowl to get deliciously crispy. Oh man... In closing, please don't take my bibimbap (or sunshine) away. You know I'll be back. Because...bibimbap. Love, Karen

I swear I took at least three more pictures but for some reason they did not save on my phone. I tried to get a sense of the restaurant's ambiance. Earl's has been around Edmonton a long time. Back in the late 90's, it was the place to go for a Saturday brunch or dinner date. I haven't been to Earl's in over ten years so when my friends suggested it for a Christmas lunch today - I happily agreed. We all tried different dishes. I had the Chicken Teriyaki. It was pretty good. I wouldn't give it five stars, but it was tasty. Service was fast and friendly. And we got in no problem without a reservation. Parking on the other hand was a bit more complicated. Give yourself plenty of time to get lost. Pro's: good food, good service, good for nostalgia, price is average Con's: parking is lacking during busy periods.

Slap on your sparkly dress and a pair of heels (or wear whatever the heck you want) and make your way to Downtown's pink palace! You'll remember this location as the former home of Fu's Repair Shop and Prairie Fish & Chips before that. The Edmonton Food Faves We Crave 2024 list named Dolly's as Favourite Patio and the pictures that I've seen of the back terrace look completely adorable, complete with colourful lanterns. Unfortunately, my visit was in October and it wasn't quite patio weather anymore. I turned up on a Friday evening with one of my best girlfriends in tow and we were ready for the biggest Barbiecore night of our lives! Imagine our surprise when we discovered that Dolly's had been transformed into the "Black Lagoon" for the month of October in the spirit of Halloween. (I probably should have looked into this in advance but I was unaware!) I was expecting Cyndi Lauper and Aqua but instead I got Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. The whole restaurant was draped in the most spider webs that I've ever seen. There were giant spiders hanging from the ceiling and spooky skeletons in every corner. It was a vibe, that's for sure!! But certainly not the one that I had been anticipating. Bits of pink paint and sparkly chandeliers peeked through in some areas and the neon "Dolly's" sign on the wall allowed me to imagine what the Barbie dreamhouse-esque space normally looks like just a little bit. Otherwise, Dolly's was fully transformed into the moody Black Lagoon. I should've worn fishnets instead of glitter. The servers were all very friendly and we were quickly seated at a comfortable table along the hot pink velour banquette. Dolly's invites you to sip, snack, and stay in their minor-free glamorous escape. The house cocktails and mocktails are a major part of the experience (it is a cocktail bar after all) and I was excited to get a cute pink beverage into my hand! There was also a menu of Black Lagoon-themed cocktails that were all served in fun tiki-style vessels. This menu included themed foods as well. I personally had my eye on the Pink Palace Royale cocktail which I saw on the menu online. Made with a special collab gin with Strathcona Spirits and Licor 43 (one of my favourite liqueurs), this sounded like everything that I wanted in a cocktail and more! Other drinks had names like Dolly's Dreamhouse, Bubbilicious, and the house shot was called the Bend & Snap - exactly the sort of drinks that I had come for! However, I was sorely disappointed when the server told me that the drink I wanted was no longer on the menu. It seemed that I could only order a Halloween beverage. I fumbled to find anything that Elle Woods would approve of and settled on a mocktail called Pretty in Pink (Strawberry, cream of coconut, lime, soda, mint - $9.00) and the server suggested that the bar could add vanilla vodka to turn it into a proper cocktail. I agreed. Honestly, I was just relieved to get something pink onto the table! I enjoyed this icy-fresh cocktail a lot and it delivered most of what I had been hoping for. The sweetness of the strawberry and coconut was really fun! The lime and mint added a mojito flair. A very cute and well-composed beverage but I was sad that most of the girly drinks didn't seem to be available. When it comes to eats at Dolly's the food is what you would expect to see at a party, with the idea of sharing at the heart. I loved the idea of Dolly's Funhouse (which is an epic plate of nachos), and dishes like wings, tacos, and mac & cheese. However, the dish to order at Dolly's has gotta be the Girl Dinner (Truffle tots, chickie tendies, aji verde, aji rocoto, pineapple sweet & sour, Dolly's salad - $50.00 for two). It's a must-share so grab your girlies and prepare to chow down! They had me at tots. The Girl Dinner platter arrived looking extremely appetizing and somehow exactly what I wanted to be eating in a place that looked like this. The portion was exactly right for two people and I loved the pretty floral printed plates that we were given to dish our tots and tendies onto. As previously mentioned, I enjoy a tot. (I have a suspicion that Napoleon Dynamite really imprinted on me.) But truffle tots? Now that's just a home run! Topped with sea salt, truffle oil, and parmesan cheese, these golden potato nuggets were fried to perfection with a crispy outside and a soft and fluffy inside. I could have eaten them all. They were awesome to dunk into each of the sauces and when the rest of the food was gone we were still popping tots into our mouths. We couldn't even finish them all because the portion was so generous! The star of the meal were the chickie tendies; two giant chicken tenders, of which we each got our own. I loved this chicken! The batter was really flavourful and unique, and oh so crispy-crunchy. The chicken within was very tender and juicy, proving that an elevated chicke

My husband went with Braised Chuck Flatserved on fresh grits, glazed in demi. Cocktails were carefully crafted and the food came out in a timely manner. Food was excellent. The mushroom salad was full of flavour and cooked properly. The spicy rigatoini was excellent with just enough heat from the habanero sauce. However, the real start was the braised chuck which melted with a tap of the fork. The grits were well cooked and a good accompaniment. We were stuffed but I would like to try thier desserts in the future. Cocktail prices were high but in the same price range as other fancy cocktail bars. The food prices were the same as many other places but with higher quality. Definately try this place out. I am looking forward to my next visit.

We tried: Ricotta Fritters: 7/10, tomato sauce was very overpowering in flavor, corn was very nice. Fritters themselves were very tasty and the ricotta filling was very nice but it gets hidden when eaten with the potent tomato sauce. Broccolini: 9/10, good, good flavor, cooked well just not sure they are worth the price for what you get. Risotto: 6/10, my uncle gave it a 8/10 as he liked it. To me it was pretty bland, could be that the carrot flavor isn't my thing, but just found it underwhelming and lacking flavor (maybe needs more salt too) Texture was very good though. Colcannon Gnocchi: 12/10. This dish was soooo good. Loved the mushroom cream sauce, sour cream, GIANT bacon jam blobs, gnocchi itself had good texture. Little rocks that had a bad taste. Sauce was good to add moisture but was very very bland/tasteless. Overall this fed 3 of us well with no leftovers but also no room for dessert.
