I have gone to Eagle Harbor for the last Three years snowmobiling. I LOVE Eagle Harbor Inn! The food is EXCELLENT! I travel from ALABAMA every winter and look forward to going to this restaurant! I have had their Pizza, their burgers, their fish and their specials. Everything I have had has been GREAT! The atmosphere and the service is just fantastic! It is a hidden gem! Pleasant surprise. Went to see the Eagle Harbor lighthouse and was hungry for lunch. Didn't know where to go...saw Eagle Harbor Inn and decided to pull in. What a great meal. We had a grilled trout sandwich and potato skins...don't order the fries, etc. Get the trout, potato skins and split it with your other half. You won't be sorry...considering you're in the middle of nowhere. read more

Lovely atmosphere and excellent food. We are here twice and it was worth the price. Salmon was great, and the trout sandwich was great.

Unfortunately we have no idea whether or not the food is good. We went in and stood there for a good 10 minutes beside the "Please Wait to be Seated" sign. A waitress walked right by us 5 times and didn't even look our direction to say anything or acknowledge us. Another waitress looked at us from the kitchen twice but didn't offer to seat us or say anything. So ... no business from us today! There is no excuse for completely ignoring a customer. Great gem of a restaurant. Reasonably priced, great variety and let's face it great food. Busy place but the service was excellent. We went at peak dinner time with no reservations-there were 6 in our group, they were able to seat us within 10 minutes and they were busy! We enjoyed our visit to the Eagle Harbor Inn on the last Friday of October. The staff was very cheerful and helpful; they didn't act all run down from what was probably a long tourist season. We both had the 1/2 rack of ribs, salad, and potato bacon soup. It all tasted great. Especially the ribs - best rib meal we've had in a long time. We had two dinners here, there are not a whole lot of places to eat on this stretch of road. But we liked it so well after the first night, that we were back for the second. The decor is really cool, charts of the local area on on your table, two deer that got their antlers fatally entwined are mounted on the wall, and local color abounds. They have a good beer selection, featuring some local brews, including Keweenaw. Now that's local! I enjoyed my food. The chicken nachos that I had on my second night were HUGE. The staff was friendly. They had football on in the bar, if you are interested in that sort of thing (our cabin had no TV, so I'm of mixed feelings about the bar TV-unplugged or connected? A beautiful little restaurant in the town of Eagle Harbor sits a few hundred feet from Lake Superior and a small beach on the harbor. The service is friendly and it's not unusual to see the owner greeting diners every night. I had a burger and really enjoyed it. It was cooked well, the toppings were flavorful, but not overwhelming and the bun held up nicely; no fear of it falling apart. They also have a decent wine selection and some local beers on tap. I want to like this place, it's adorable, locally owned and the staff is friendly. It should be called "where all the food falls apart". We ordered two sandwiches, a burger and a chicken sandwich. The buns on both immediately fell apart and we had to eat the insides with a fork and knife. When I told the waitress she laughed and said "I know". Maybe it's time to get new buns? We tried the pecan pie, it would have been good if they hadn't heated it up so the corn syrup in the pie melted into a pecan soup. at that point it was almost laughable. Went to Isle Royale for a week long backpacking trip and looking for real food before and after the trip. Before the trip we had ribs, white fish and Tai chicken. The ribs were OK, turns out, I'm not a whitefish person but everyone else raved about them....very bland and tasteless, service was a bit slow. Deserts were excellent. We had the strawberry rhubarb pie and Jack Daniels chocolate pecan pie. After the trip, ( not many options up this way), was a better experience. Room was clean enough, but there was no a/c and it was 90 degrees outside and the girl checking me in didn't tell us until after I had paid. THIS IS NOT ON THE BEACH, it is on the state highway. If there is a beach it must be access that you have to walk to. At night all of the bar patrons that smoke are sitting at tables right outside your bedroom window so you get to smell them and hear them.... two for one...yey. the food was decent in the bar but nothing super exciting. If there is no other place in the Keweenaw to stay at, then this place will do. But know that is nothing more than a clean bed. Not even the fridge or t.v. work very well read more

I had the fettuccini with a piece of chicken added. The chicken was done perfect but the sauce was horrible. Another person in my party had the fettuccini with the mushroom. Problem is, they forgot the mushroom and didn't serve it until the meal was nearly finished. White fish was enjoyed by another person in our party. He stated it was very good. The biggest problem was the service. We ordered an appetizer which we were told about when we walked in the door, and was written on the menus. Our waitress didn't know what we were talking about. Asked for a drink menu and one of the wait staff said they didn't have one, the other stated they would find one bit never came back. Thank goodness the table next to us shared theirs. So we ordered a bottle of wine to share, and the waitress forgot about it. Bot a big deal, but we asked and were forgot about again. We had to go up and speak to another person to get our wine. Waitress was probably the rudest person in the u.p. For she, is the biggest reason for the poor revue. I dont suggest going here for the over priced food and poor service. read more

Amazing burger! Pretty good portions, and fairly priced. The hostess was below pair, seeming uninterested. Waiting to be seated, we were actually passed by the hostess about 7 times before she say us in a table. Or waitress was great, however. Food was brought out fairly quick, given that we were in at the peak of lunch hour. Really a great experience to go and read the story. read more

A favorite place to eat while in town each summer. They have great lobster pizza!! Their bar menu is also quite extensive. Many desserts are always listed on the ever-changing chalk board menu. The hotel itself is not as great. read more

Don't let the outside appearance deceive you, the food and service are great. It is a little disheartening to have so few restaurant options on or near the water up in Copper country. I don't understand. BUT, if you can get past this disappointment, there are plenty of places to eat. Which is a good thing since the nearest grocery store is an hour away. The food was SO good. I had a chicken sandwich and my husband and son had burgers. All of them were tasty and hot. The atmosphere was typical for the area. The wait staff and manager were great, friendly and attentive. What a beautiful town and a wonderful motel/restaurant. And what made it so wonderful? The food, the location? Nope, it was the OWNER. Joan! What a sweet lady. Hard working and very educated on the whole Keweenaw peninsula. Along with her entire staff, they made us feel welcome for 3 days, gave us great recommendations as to things to do and see. We went here for dinner because it was the only restaurant open after nine, so I appreciate that. However, the food was quite bland and over priced. Whitefish chowder has no flavorand the whitefish entree was tiny and tasteless. The pizza was good though, as was the selection of beer (no drafts tho) read more
