    Severely undercut portion of meat.

The food is still amazing here-- at least the flavor. Our server, Molly E was great. The issue was the portion size. I ordered the danwich, which has traditionally been piled high and so big you would have to split it with someone or take half home. This time there was one slice of turkey, one slice of roast beef, one slice of ham, and bacon and cheese. So many bare spots and the smallest I have ever seen it there. I have heard portions are down across the board, as others have received Reuben's or other sandwiches with severely undercut portions. I hope it's something as simple as a new or inexperienced Cook, but when I asked they told me "that's how we have been making them all day" and no remedy was offered. I want to be clear that the sandwich was still great flavor wise, but the lack of meat made for a lot of empty bites with just bread and I feel as though the value for my money is no longer there. I would recommend buying a dinner instead of a sandwich! Or just go somewhere else where they still give good portions.

Sweet potato French fries. Burnt to a crisp.

This place use to be one of the best place to eat at in the Copper Country. Don't bother going any more, it is the not very good. Here is a picture of our French fries they served to us. Burnt to a crisp. The fish was over cooked fish that was hard to eat being so tough! Worst meal ever!

County fried steak and cheese garlic bread

I'm hoping we visited here on an off weekday evening in February. I didn't mind the unique dark ambiance here and appreciate the history of it. Our meal was simply subpar with the exception of the dessert. I ordered the Copper Country fried steak and it came with dry-tasting mashed potatoes and two very hard pieces of breaded steak. I asked if they had corn as a vegetable and was told they only serve corn on Sunday. We tried the appetizer of cheesy garlic bread with marinara sauce. It was chopped up into five or six pieces with very light cheese on top. The marinara was unique-tasting and too thick to dip into. We ate three of the pieces. We likely won't try this place again unless in a pinch.

This is always one of our go to destinations when in the area because of the historic building, comforting food, and friendly service. The menu offerings are extensive and served in generous portion sizes with fair pricing. Our personal favorite is the Danwich, a monster of a sandwich. The location is neat and so is the building which features a primarily wood interior with unique architecture. The restaurant has been through several changes in ownership but still offers great menu items. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

    Shrimp fettuccine

The shrimp fettuccine Alfredo was delicious . My boyfriend ordered the whitefish which was good. His mother ordered the quesadillas which were great especially considering not being a Mexican restaurant. His dad ordered a steak which was covered in cheese and looked good. The salad is pretty simple but big .

Whenever I am back in town, I have to stop there to get a pizza. As for the food, the pizza is thin crust, but not cracker crust. It has a chewiness to it. The real appeal of the pizza is the sauce, which is tangy. Many pizzas I've had create sauces that are overly tomato-y and sweet. I think the secret of Jim's pizza sauce is the use of fennel seed with a saltier base. It makes the sauce more aromatic and less overwhelmingly tomato-y. Honestly, it's one of those pizzas where you start eating and then suddenly realize how full you are because you've eaten half a pizza. We typically stop there Sunday for lunch. I've discovered the biggest issue is that the restaurant is typically woefully understaffed. That's a popular time for much of the elderly population to come in so the small dining room gets full. Most of the time, there is but one teenage waitress on duty, and the poor girl has to take all orders, serve all food and drinks, answer the phone orders, handle takeout, and fill all requests as they come up. This can make service seem slow.

We liked the decor, it was mine themed and had a lot of different artifacts and things having to do with mining. That's about where it ended. Our server was okay, she seemed friendly but wasn't very helpful with choosing what to order and very rarely came back to the table to check on us. The food took a long time to come out, and when it did it was mediocre at best. My husband liked the whitefish and sweet Potato fries, but said he has had better up there. My daughter barely ate her chicken and that is rare for her. I tried it and the breading was very crunchy and not flavorful. The steak is where things really fell flat. It is a petite filet mignon. So it wasn't cheap, but it had ZERO seasoning on it and was EXTREMELY undercooked. I asked for medium rare (described by their menu as warm pink center). I typically like more a of a medium but restaurants typically overcook steak so I went a little less. Now this steak was barely seared on the outside and was cool and purple inside. That was a RARE steak. We joked that it was still mooing. I was waiting for the server to come back so o could have them throw it back on for a bit but she never even made eye contact with our table. No refills on drinks or anything. When she finally returned I had eaten all my veggies and potato so I was full and asked for a box. I cooked the steak at home for a few minutes and had to add a decent amount of seasoning. I don't think we will be returning to Quincy's again.

We were seated right away and our server got us beverages and took our order in a timely manner. I ordered sauteed shrimp, but couldn't have the suggested sides, due to dietary restrictions. They were happy to let me have a salad and soup for sides instead. The French onion soup was cheesy and delicious. The salad was a standard house salad. There were eight large shrimp with melted butter, plus a few mixed veggies on the plate. I left satisfied. There was plenty of parking and the restaurant had a mix of tables and booths.
