We were so hopeful that Quincy's would be good as we had 2 different people recommend it to us on our trip to the Keweenaw. We liked the decor, it was mine themed and had a lot of different artifacts and things having to do with mining. That's about where it ended. Our server was okay, she seemed friendly but wasn't very helpful with choosing what to order and very rarely came back to the table to check on us. The food took a long time to come out, and when it did it was mediocre at best. My husband liked the whitefish and sweet Potato fries, but said he has had better up there. My daughter barely ate her chicken and that is rare for her. I tried it and the breading was very crunchy and not flavorful. The steak is where things really fell flat. It is a petite filet mignon. So it wasn't cheap, but it had ZERO seasoning on it and was EXTREMELY undercooked. I asked for medium rare (described by their menu as warm pink center). I typically like more a of a medium but restaurants typically overcook steak so I went a little less. Now this steak was barely seared on the outside and was cool and purple inside. That was a RARE steak. We joked that it was still mooing. I was waiting for the server to come back so o could have them throw it back on for a bit but she never even made eye contact with our table. No refills on drinks or anything. When she finally returned I had eaten all my veggies and potato so I was full and asked for a box. I cooked the steak at home for a few minutes and had to add a decent amount of seasoning. I don't think we will be returning to Quincy's again.

We saw the menu for this restaurant at about every place we went around town and decided to give it a try. We were seated right away and our server got us beverages and took our order in a timely manner. I ordered sauteed shrimp, but couldn't have the suggested sides, due to dietary restrictions. They were happy to let me have a salad and soup for sides instead. The French onion soup was cheesy and delicious. The salad was a standard house salad. There were eight large shrimp with melted butter, plus a few mixed veggies on the plate. I left satisfied. There was plenty of parking and the restaurant had a mix of tables and booths.

Finally found a rare spot around here that has a decent food menu for selection, gave good portions, at reasonable prices, and all tasted decent as well! Will definitely have to come back to try some other stuff.

This restaurant was so cute with its decor. It was full of historic memorabilia on the walls in memory of the copper mining industry. The waitress was very kind, you can tell she was very busy with many tables. It was A LOT of food. The dinners came with a soup or salad, a huge dinner roll, and the entree. We could have forgone the appetizer if we knew how much food we were actually about to get. The French onion soup had a huge layer of cheese on it, which I wish was more crispy and left under the broiler longer. The trout almondine was beautifully crispy and cooked perfectly. The vegetables are just frozen veggies and kind of mushy. The loaded baked potato was delightful. I wish I had room for dessert!!

Nice atmosphere, not terribly expensive, worth going to for special times to celebrate something.

Been here 4 times and will never return again. They focus on ripping off snowmobile or Utv/atv tourists. The food sucks and it's expensive.

Dreamland Hotel - Broiled whitefish! 100/10!

I had hoped for a locally caught Golden fried Whitefish filet unfortunately it was just a standard square fish patty , fries were okay , service was alright , ambiance left a bit to be desired. All in all the experience was a bit of a letdown. I guess I had imagined something a little more Dreamy.

A mix of mostly locals and some campers and boaters (we came by boat and parked at the Dreamland dock). Clean restaurant and bathrooms (always appreciated). We ordered the special: fried chicken with past. My husband loved the combo. The pasta sauce was soooooo goooood. Ordering that as a stand-alone dish would be a winner too. The chicken was fried very nice! The sandwich was one of their famous ones but I don't remember the name. It's the last one on the menu. Our friends love this and always come here for it. I got the whitefish. It was delicate and moist. I was a little bummed that the tartar sauce was not homemade because I bet they'd do a great job at it. Instead it was a premade sauce. Great service. Friendly atmosphere. Nice porch to sit on the rocker after dinner and chill for a bit before heading back to the boat. Did I mention how cool- and unique - a public dock that takes you to a restaurant on the Portage is?! 10 points for that alone!

Our servers were attentive and helpful, however, we had to wait for almost an hour for the food to arrive given their adequately staff. Hubby ordered the Den burger with burger and I had the shrimp ragotoni. I enjoyed the homemade pasta but the entree was a bit heavy with the cream sauce but it does have great flavors. Love they have KBC beers on tap and the blueberry ale was very refreshing. Overall, this is a solid choice in downtown Houghton with lakeside view and good menu options. Do keep in mind that prices are a bit high given it's in the UP. Also, you pay extra for protein in pasta entrees as well as bread in appetizers that's usually included.

The server told us the specials for the day, and I remember there being a LOT - almost as much as what was on the regular menu! We almost got the chicken wings special, but we ordered the burrata caprese appetizer and added prosciutto for $4. It was good! For entrees, I ordered the duck breast, which seems to be a staple item from here. I ordered it medium rare and it was definitely medium at best, but still tender. It is not a huge portion, and I would've like the skin crispier, but the meat itself had great flavor. It sits on a bed of parsnip puree with a blood orange reduction (a little too sweet and too much of it on the plate for me) and sauteed spinach. It left me just satisfied enough, but still a bit hungry. My fiancé got the flank steak, which was probably around 8 oz but the menu doesn't list it, with french fries and some sauteed vegetables. He said he was actually pleased with the type, portion, and cook on the vegetables. The french fries are that "old-fashioned" style, which I really like! And the chimichurri sauce was fresh and flavorful. The service was mid - sometimes it was fairly quick and attentive, other times we felt like we were waiting a long time to be tended to. For a more local, seasonal, "farm-to-table"-esque meal, this is probably the closest you will get in Houghton. The front desk at our hotel said she heard this restaurant was pricey/expensive, but I thought it was pretty fair!
