The one side is a restaurant, but the bar side is so much cooler with neat architecture and decor. It's fairly small inside, but service is always good. I've only ever been there for small bites and a drink or two, but it's always a good time!

She was very friendly and helpful, even though she was kept quite busy mixing drinks for the other diners. I ordered the Jagerschnitzel with a small side salad. The "small" salad was quite large and very fresh. I can't imagine how big the large salad is! My Jagerschnitzel was good. I would say I would have a lighter breading would have made it even better, but I'd still recommend. Tonight was a " Chamber of Congress" type evening in Houghton. I don't imagine 80 degree nights happen a lot way up here! The great weather brought a lot of people out and about enjoying the river walk and downtown. The restaurant had to limit the number of people seated because they must have been at capacity for their staff.

They did ask you wear a mask when you first enter. I hears the waitress tell the people behind us that they can only have 6 people max at a table at this time. We ordered once we were seated. My fettucine alfredo was delicious. My husband enjoyed his burger as wel. The server was quick and provided us with our food quiet quickly. I felt bad because he had to deal with 6 loud young teens that did not even order yet. We left at exactly 11pm when they close. The group had just ordered their food. I tend to really hate going in before close because I fee rude. Sadly, we were starving from a 6 hour drive and no service.

I got the daily special which was a grilled 1/2 chicken with some kind of balsamic glaze, asparagus, mashed potatoes, and side salad. They let me choose the homemade strawberry vinaigrette as my dressing (not one of the typical side salad options but is part of one of the specialty salads) - it was incredible, with a great balance of sweet and tart. Salad also had a good variety of veggies, with cherry tomato, peppers, and cucumber in there in addition it the lettuce. It was a generous size for a side salad. As for my entree, my chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful. Not just a generic grilled chicken - the marinade gave it a unique flavor and I absolutely polished it off. Asparagus was cooked well (not too mushy), and mashed potatoes were buttery and flavorful without being too salty or gummy. All this was for $17.95, which was a great value for how much food I got! I tried my friend's Roadmaster entree (pork ribeye marinated in sweet soy and topped with bourbon apple compote) and that too was tender and delicious. I have no regrets coming here and would love to come back and try the many other options that sounded appetizing!
