Intimate and delicious. Parking is easy to find in the plaza. Had the opportunity to eat here because my friends were fans of the place. I ordered the Premium Chirashi and it was amazing. It was premium sashimi over a thin layer of rice. Originally, I had thought the portion was big only to find out that the bowl is more shallow than it appeared. My second thought was this doesn't look like much but at the end of the meal, I was full. All the sashimi pieces were premium and worth the price. The fatty toro was everything! The scallops were a great balance with the lemon. The only thing I wished it could have was a small piece of tamago. I love tamago and for a sushi restaurant to be good, it has to pass the tamago test. Staff was nice and friendly. Would highly recommend trying this place out. You might just like it read more

We had not been here in quite some time as we were not very happy with our last visit. We gave them another try a couple of week's ago and I'm glad we did. We were very impressed with how fresh and perfectly executed each plate was served. The tuna belly freshly caught the same morning, and melted in your mouth. Several different items and each did not disappoint. The staff was very enthusiastic, fun and service was great. We were so impressed we are taking some of our friends there. My mouth is already salivating LOL. Truly a must try if you like sushi. So many special to pick from. read more

First visit here. Absolutely loved it. The albacore sashimi should really be renamed a carpaccio. Thinly sliced premium seared albacore with a tangy delicious ponzu sauce. With more than 10 slices, it's the perfect delicacy to share with someone special. Everything else here was super fresh and tasty. The ambience is dark & comfy and the customer service was friendly, quick & efficient. I found my new favorite spot for sushi. read more

We live nearby, and this is our favorite, local sushi joint. The food is always fresh and delicious. This time we ordered John's roll, tuna tataki, and shrimp tempura. We washed it all down with ice cold Sapporos. The sushi chefs gifted us with buttery white fish at the end of our meal. We'll definitely order it next time. The service is always friendly & attentive here as well. read more

As a sashimi lover, Esushi will always be the top one choice I would make. The food quality is consistent fantastic! I love their toro sashimi and yellow tail the most! This is my absolute favorite restaurant in SolCal Area. The food is always fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my meal! Servers are also great and always efficient, happy and polite. Can't wait to return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to eat in. read more

We have found our sushi place in Whittier. It's a little bit hidden but worth the extra effort to find. The eel, caterpillar and spider rolls were fresh and very delicious. The salmon, yellow tail and spicy tuna melts in your mouth. Amy and her entire team made me feel welcome and we're very attentive. We will be back again and again. Highly recommend. read more

My husband and I tried this place for the 2nd time and it was delicious. First time we came here we tried two rolls, and let me tell you we also had sashimi was amazingly fresh. Try the yellow tail! One of the BEST sushi places we have been to by far! Perfect for a date night or dinner with friends. Some of the best tasting sushi we have ever tried thus far. And the service here is OUTSTANDING! I took my family of 5 to E Sushi last night. Not sure what happen, but all the portions did not look anything like the pictures on the menu or photos online. Perhaps a change in ownership. Albacore sashimi order had 10 pieces, each piece was cut so thin I could see through it. The other rolls we ordered were all either fewer pieces and/or much smaller than menu pics. I actually asked the server for the menu to compare. I understand businesses have to be tighter now. I am a former restaurant owner, however, deceiving customers is not a good move short term, definitely not long term. I would not go back. I should have taken pictures... read more

I came here with a bunch of friends on Sunday night to try delicious sushi! My friend (who's been a regular here for 3+yrs mind you and yes, the staff knows her) talked my ear off about this place when we used to commute together from work on the train, and I was so excited to finally try this place! Honestly this place is so fresh and service was so sweet and so kind! My friend is a regular and always eats their raw fish, and she kindly let me sample some of hers! I'm so sad that I live so far away in Irvine because honestly this was some of the best sushi I've tried in the longest time. I usually don't eat the raw stuff, but I am a changed person after eating there! Thank you so much to E-Sushi's staff for being so genuinely kind to our group and serving up some of the best, freshest sushi around :) When my friend invites the group over to eat sushi here, I'm definitely joining again. read more

Got a tip on this place from some friends and were very pleased we listened! Very cute little place, modern atmosphere, very fresh fish. My daughter doesn't do anything spicy and they were eager to accommodate. The owner came over and sweetly made suggestions, which we followed and were again rewarded. Sushi was great but the prices were super expensive 17.50 for a roll or 18.50 when you come here expect to pay a bit more my total was 93.50 for a bento box and 2 miso soups and 4 rolls. Also they charged me twice and didn't even tell me about it like what ?! read more

What's the E stand for - empty? I'm good with paying for quality, but if ain't that then don't shorten me on quantity. $15 for a roll that's supposed to have spicy tuna inside, and on top - salmon and avocado. I got a smudge of red inside a roll with just crabmeat and a sliver of avocado. read more

Favorite Sushi Spot !! The sushi is nice and fresh. The spicy edamame is addicting to eat. Great customer service, staff is very attentive with great hospitality. My family and I live in the IE and We drive to Whittier to eat sushi. The sushi spots around our area are nothing like E-Sushi in Whittier! You will not regret it!! Friday evenings are definitely the busiest day to visit. But, worth the wait! Totally recommend this sushi spot! read more

If you like Dakara, you will love E sushi. The chef Ray is on point. Normally my husband is supper picky but Ray has gotten him to not only try but love some new items. The E Sushi roll is a must. If you only order rolls, I suggest you get out of your comfort zone and order their sashimi. The salmon, toro, tuna, yellow tail, wahoo, it's all delicious. This is definitely the spot. read more

The gentlemen behind the bar making the sushi were very kind and friendly. They serve very good sushi and sashimi. It's definitely clean and inviting. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is that they are pricey. I am happy to pay a premium for good fish. But the canned and bottled beverages at the 800% markup really inflated the final price. read more

Don't let the small facade fool you. The quality of fish served here is top notch. Mind you I'm a sushi snob and can't stand most sushi places in the area. It's actually a good thing when a sushi place isn't AYCE. They use better fish and extra care when it comes to the rolls. The service is typically friendly and the servers are usually very attentive unless it's a crowded night but they do try their best to get to everyone. Favorite rolls include the Diamond roll, Hector roll, and Tony special. Their sashimi flight is really good too and they also have a kid friendly menu which includes teriyaki bowls for the picky eaters. read more

E sushi is now our go to place. We used to go to Azabu for years until they changed it. If you want quality food and great service go to E. I believe John, who used to work at Azabu, is one of the owners now. Anyone who walks in automatically gets greeted by the staff, they always make sure you feel welcome. Give it a try and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Try the Premium Sushi Flight, one of my favorites and it's delicious. They have plenty of choices to choose from and I'm sure you won't leave feeling hungry read more

Service staff/waitresses need to be educated on serving customers, basic 101. Sweet and nice at first, then, no service afterwards. We had to get up and get napkins and utensils from another table. I gave half my water, since I had not drank from it to my friend. We asked for our order to be made a specific way. Here are the menu pictures and here is the items served. I must say it's a friendly environment and the locals have fun with the sushi chef and food owners. The beef bowl was a great meal. In the end the owner made up for everything and I won't say anything else. I'll order to go next time. read more

They…read moreonly had about 5-6 table entire time including our table when we dinned on a Saturday around 7pm. It is a little off putting but food was decent. We dinned in for AYCE, currently $40 per person on weekends as of 5/16/2026. Pretty cheap for AYCE if you like your typical sushi nigiri or classic rolls this spot shouldn't be an issue. I personally thought the selection was a bit limited. Also sashimi isn't unlimited, it's limited to 1 order per person (2 pieces each order). Salmon Collar was fried to perfection and actually has a ton of meat, sadly it was limited 1 per table (we were party of 4). Pink Lady -spicy albacore was great but too much imitation crab which added too much mayonnaise flavor to the roll.

Decided to stop by Kira Kira Sushi for an early dinner and really enjoyed my visit. The spicy garlic edamame was super flavorful, and the miso soup was good as well. I just wish it had a few tofu pieces, but the flavor itself was still on point. The service was good overall, though I would have appreciated being checked on a bit more since I was hoping to get a drink refill. It's also been a while since my last visit, and I remember they used to serve watermelon slices at the end of the meal, which was such a nice touch, I didn't see that this time. Overall, it was a good meal and I'll definitely be back.
