We came here to follow my late mother's Yelp profile. We were walking in her steps. I got a Bento Box with teriyaki chicken. I also got a chicken teriyaki bowl. Which was a little too excessive. Me and my boyfriend love E Sushi. We come every other week if not every week. The fish is such goos quality and tasty. The price matches the quality. We always get blue fin tuna hand rolls and the Admiral Mike roll and JoJo special roll. We've tried other spot and nothing compares. You've got tempura that is actually fresh and crispy, so good!! My family and I had dinner here in a Saturday night. Thank goodness one of our friend's made reservations as this place gets very crowded and we were a party of seven. The restaurant is small but very cozy and full of positive vibes. You can feel the energy in the room. Management and the entire staff were extremely welcoming and soooo nice. We ordered numerous items from the menu and EVERYTHING was fresh, tasty and well prepared. Prices were a tad on the higher end but we had no regrets whatsoever on choosing this place and/or what we ordered. Parking can be challenging as the restaurant is located in a small stroll small with a bar, Mexican restaurant and three or four or businesses sharing the small parking lot. This small strip mall is located behind a Arco gas station off of very busy Whittier blvd. The staff were very attentive to us and were very nice and helpful. - - Spicy Garlic Edamame (5/5): A great appetizer to start with. The place is so charming and low key, great for a date night or day date! The servers and always on point and nice, they go above and beyond to help you out. The salmon sushi pieces were huge and the fish tasted fresh. The scallos were also very tender, sweet and had great flavor. The salmon skin handroll was not the best. The quality of the sushi, the service, and the ambience was out of this world. I drove one hour to try E Sushi and they have earned a loyal customer. I will be honest, everytime I had a dish, I'd say it's my favorite but it would be after every dish. We started with the Toro Tataki and it just melts in your mouth. Following up with the albacore was perfect as the taste contrasted perfectly. The E Sushi and, not pictured, the Alex Roll balanced out perfectly as one had crunch but the other had the savory salmon and crab. I thought getting the luxurious rolls were enough but the Blue Fin Tuna, Salmon Belly, and Seared Salmon Belly sealed the deal. I had the pleasure to speak with Amy about the restaurant and the way they value the quality of their ingredients truly shows through the food. This is sushi I haven't tried before and the cuts are generous. Typical omakase would run you around the same price but the cuts are much thicker.
