I have been to many nail salons in the area and keep coming back to this one, which is conveniently located in my building. The salon is clean, the people are friendly, and most important - they do a great job. I typically get gel manicures and an occasional pedicure and am always happy when I leave. I'm not sure why so many negative reviews here. I've had at least 20 manicures and am happy with them all. Listen, you can spend $50-75 at a salon and not get much better than this place at half the price. read more

Cracking up at Whitney F's review - I was there that night (last night). Saw the bedazzled nail and wailing child. I waited over 40 minutes after being told 10. I'm pretty sure they tell everyone 10 minutes. It was my 2nd time there but my first experience wasn't as bad. Last night seems to be the norm. They have such a big selection of gel colors I hate to say bye (any recommendations for a new place?) but I just can't deal with the super long waits or the rushed service. Rather than accepting every walk-in, they should say they're too booked and suggest an appt. Other salons have done that and it's no big deal. read more

Not bad, place is nothin special but it was cheap and she did spend a good deal of time buffing and scrubbing my feet.

This place is awesome, my feet been swollen and hurt from work so I came here and it was so nice to get that rub that your man can't give you. Also now their beautiful again. I come once a month now. read more

I usually go to the other skyway nail place by target (MUCH BETTER), but I thought I would give this a try. I called ahead, and they said ok, come in 10 minutes. I arrived and they said, oh 10 minute wait, even though I called ahead. Then they said 5 minutes, I guess to make me feel better, but I actually waited 30 MINUTES before they started working on my pedicure. Then, the pedi was totally superficial and a terrible job. When I asked the woman to fix something, she acknowledged what I asked, and then just didnt do it. When she applied the clear coat on top, it was as if she was painting my entire toe. I left with clear polish all over my toe, and the color was spotted in some places on my skin too. I actually wanted a mani as well, but they never asked and since she did such a horrendous job on my toes, I just left. read more

The service was wonderful! My friend and I both enjoyed a manicure. We stopped in without an appt. and treated ourselves to the deluxe which was well worth the money. The price was very reasonable and she did a fabulous job. My polish had lasted over 2 weeks and I am very satisfied. Today I went to E Nails to get a gel manicure. The reviews had me a little apprehensive but decided to give it a try as it's close to my office. My gel manicure was done great. I do not recommend going to this nail salon!! I just went over my lunch hour and discovered half way through my manicure that the lady doing my nails has a couple warts on her hands! She was not wearing gloves and warts are HIGHLY contagious. Not only did she have a couple warts, but she also had a couple open cuts on her hand. This is a huge health issue for not only the customer, but for her as well. I cannot believe the staff are not required to wear gloves. I am so appalled and am now freaked out that I am going to get a wart on my hand. read more

I came across this great little nail salon as I was randomly walking in the downtown Minneapolis.. I popped in for a manicure and Linh the nail tech did a perfect job. The salon is cozy and very clean. Linh is wonderful at what she does and she is very nice and friendly. I definitely come back here again when I'm back in town. read more

Was not impressed at all! I went in for a pedicure.....and received basically a foot soak in warm water with a polish change. She didn't use any cuticle softener/oil, she didn't buff my nails, she didn't cut them down like I asked, she didn't shape them.....she barely touched the bottoms of my feet. So I was in Minneapolis for a wedding and desperately needed a mani/pedi. This is not shocking because I've become extremely cheap lately and I knew if I waited until the day of the wedding my mom would probably want one too and HOORAY pay for mine. A friend of mine who used to live in the area had suggested a day spa but they were booked solid so my mom and I roamed over to E Nails after reading the reviews on here. OMG. It is SO much better than the reviews state. I live in Los Angeles but I wish I could come here every other week for a mani/pedi. A: the price was great (again, not that I paid for it, but still..) B: they spent about an hour and a half doing our nails... we weren't rushed at all and very pampered. C: my mom is kind of a mani/pedi virgin and always thinks the technicians are "hurting" hurt. This includes the simple filing of her nails. The girl who did her nails was amazing and my mom confirmed it actually "felt nice"! Congratulations E Nails, you've impressed the most impossible customer. It's been about 5 week and my cheap ass still hasn't gotten another mani/pedi but my pedicure is still without a single chip and my nails literally lasted almost 2 weeks. AMAZING. I've been looking for a convenient place downtown to get a reasonably priced mani/pedi. For $32, this is it! I went prior to going on vacation and thought they did a great job. One lady worked on my pedicure while another worked on my finger nails. It was a little awkward having multiple services going on at once, but I didn't care if it would get me finished quicker. I wasn't wowed by the manicure, but LOVED the pedicure service. She gave a wonderful foot massage, which ended with my feet getting a paraffin wax dip. The pedicure was what sold me on this place. The lady I had was named Holly. Next time I go I'll see if she can do both my mani and pedi. I also liked that they didn't try to upsell me on any thing (waxing, extra spa treatments, etc.). read more

I gave myself an at-home gel manicure before traveling to Minneapolis for work, and it chipped before I even left home. I checked out some other salons in the skyway, but none of them had appointments available, plus their gel manicures were $40! E Nails only charges $27, and I was able to walk in with no problem. They had a great selection of colors, and the salon was clean. All of the employees were friendly and helpful. The girl who did my nails did a wonderful job, and worked very quickly. She was a little heavy on the upsell at first (pedicure, designs, eyebrow waxing), but she wasn't too persistent after I declined. She mentioned that they could do the manicure and pedicure at the same time, which I probably would have tried if I hadn't gotten a pedicure pretty recently. It was also very convenient to be able to get to it without having to go outside in the late-April snowstorm! They have a punch card where you get one punch for each service over $17 -- on your fifth service you get $5 off, and on your tenth you get $10 off. I will definitely plan to come here again the next time I'm in downtown Minneapolis! read more

Caution to consumer: several issues with this establishment- most technicians don't speak English so communication is difficult and certainly hinders service. I requested a gel manicure. They did not follow proper procedure as they soaked nails in water after removing old polish (acetone and metal scraping) A Big No No! They used a UV lamp not specific to the actual product applied- another Big No No. I actually felt Heat on my nails and I know that's not ok. I won't do this again. read more

An ok place if you need a quick polish change (seriously, that's it), but don't expect much. It wasn't super clean - their equipment looked a little questionable, but not bad enough to run out. I'm pretty sure I had a rookie doing my nails; i've got polish all over my toes - and she seemed a little skittish. She did a weird paraffin treatment - it spilled all over and was a big mess - skip that when they come your way with the tub. Cheap ($25 for a pedi), but you get what you pay for! This place has gone downhill over the years! I'm not kidding this just makes me feel like I'm not even a customer. I've been coming here for a long time, always tip well and hoping that it was just a fluke . Nope! Not only are there inexperienced technicians now, it's not as clean as it should be. I know this because I got a fungal infection when I've never had one before in my life so do make sure they clean the tub in front of you. Not a very good selection in polish anymore either it's all old & they kind of rush through the appointment oh and they straight up SKIPPED most of what the deluxe pedicure comes with & wouldn't remedy the problem. I'm so disappointed. The last time I visited there not only did I run my own pedi bath water because the gal I had kept getting up to go do something else , the tech cut me on my toe.( as in drew blood) because she was on the phone & I had to go spend another $30 elsewhere to fix the damage they did to my nails.I stopped getting manicures here kong ago when my nails kept peeling from the damage they did. This is so sad because I used to like this place & the owners are nice people but Never again am I going here. read more

I have been here before on multiple occasions, but this last time I went in to get a regular manicure (I usually get the gels). The price to have a manicure is $14.00. As I was getting my manicure, I told the woman I only have an hour-as I was on my lunch break-keep in mind I was the ONLY customer in the salon. I left that place over 10 minutes past the hour I said I had to be back to work, with an unfinished manicure, half cut cuticles, uneven filed nails, and I did not even receive lotion or a hand massage. I had asked for a clear coat polish and like I stated before I was running late, so at this time I was unable to get the polish. I was charged 20.00 for the half done manicure!!!! They charged me an additional 5.00 for the removal of 6 gel nails- my other 3 had ripped off. I called to express my disappointment and all the guy said was I can fix your nails next time when you have time. I said ok, will you remember who I am because I am not paying for any more services to fix my already overpaid unfinished manicure. He then stated, oh yea I will try to remember. I am very upset with this place and the service that I received, there is no excuse to take over 1 hour and 10 minutes for a manicure especially when this place consists of mostly women clients who are on their lunch break! I will be fixing my uneven nails, cutting my cuticles, and painting a clear polish on at home unfortunately. read more

The staff was very pleasant and nice. The timing was ok, but the manicure didn't last very long. We were the last two in the salon right before closing and it felt like they wanted us out so they could close. My nails didn't really get a chance to dry so I immediately smudged them at dinner right after. It was ok and not horrendous but I've definitely had better. read more
