First, this place was hard to find, but they tried to explain how to get here so I do appreciate that. The building management needs to add more signs inside and out. The people were kind and they used good sanitation practices I would say. They work really fast, but not in a rushing way. I got a French tip gel pedicure. How to find ** Go into the Marriott hotel entrance on 7th street, from there you will see a "city center" sign. Follow that to the escalators and go up one floor. Once on floor 2, going straight, past the UPS store and towards a yellow sign and you'll see E Nails on your left. Super kind and friendly staff. They squeezed me in for a quick pedi while waiting for a volleyball game. My kids went and grabbed a few fresh doughnuts down the hallway. The nail technician was so kind; she kindly offered my two young kids waters and to sit in the empty massage chairs while I finished my pedicure. Would 100% recommend and come again. Proceeded to get rushed service that ended in us both having dented and smeared nails because she insisted we were dry when we weren't. I had a five star experience for my gel manicure. The Manicurists was meticulous, fast and did an excellent job. The price was only $27 since they had a special. Most places charge $30 for gel manicures. I was in and out in 30 minutes. I showed up without an appointment after work on Thursday at around 4:40 and didn't have to wait since they had a lot of people working. Great location, prices and staff. The pricing was a little confusing, but it was partly my fault not understand that $5 for french tips was if you only did finger or toe nails. Their minimum credit card charge is $15 and they can only take cash tips. - Try to visit when it's not super busy. It's a small slightly cluttered salon with 3 employees. They were nice and welcoming. Once the treatment started, I felt rushed. The manicure was a bit sloppy as other reviewers mentioned and it started to chip the next day. No bueno. I felt I could have given myself a better manicure. If I every visit Minneapolis again (which I doubt I will), I will be getting my nails done in San Diego before I depart. read more

This is a really really great $30 manicure experience. Went in during an early afternoon, got a gel manicure. I was a walk in, and I was taken care of quite quickly, about enough time to pick out a polish before she was ready for me. It'd been a while so my cuticles were extremely grown out and my nails were, in general, a mess. She spent quality time cleaning up my cuticles, and it was as painless as that sort of thing gets, no issues with tearing. Used a Dremel file thing as well as the snippers, it was extremely effective and comfortable. She also took the time and attention to get the polish ("Stay Off My Lawn!!", a dark green OPI gel color) fully opaque, which I really appreciate with a dark color. My nails are also short, with a short nail-bed, and she got the polish fully side to side, no weird empty nail gutters. There were a couple small places where, when everything was dried and done, the top coat had stuck to the skin (remember, I have very short nails ;_; ). Ideally she would have caught that, but it was something I took a quick swipe of a nail file to, and it was just fine. This was fast, and very convenient. Not a long luxurious spa experience, but comfortable, fast, and nice end product. Also, as an introvert, I enjoyed the not super chatty style, but ymmv. Payment method note: They ask for tip separate from payment, and in cash. I paid everything in cash, but I think there's a processing fee for cards. (There's an ATM quite close in the new Target Center lobby, so I didn't mind.) read more

Nail technicians pay NO attention to detail and are more interested in getting you out of there in 30min than doing a good quality job on your nails. Got a fill and all my nails are different shapes and thickness there is no consistency and she couldn't even put and even coat of polish on. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! I gave this place two tries. The first time, my manicure was extremely rushed. The woman who did them barely pushed back my cuticles and then glopped on my polish so thick, they looked like gels and took way more time than I had to dry. First I went in for a regular manicure, and they spent 5 minutes trying to convince me I really wanted Gel, until I directly asked them to stop trying to upsell me. Gel's ruin my nails, I know what I want... thanks. Then the manicure started... This new woman did not bother to take off the clear polish I had on my fingers. She only pushed back my cuticles on one hand before moving on to clipping - totally forgot about the other one. THEN SHE TURNED ON HER IPHONE AND WATCHED THAT WHILE GRABBING AT MY CUTICLES WITH THE CLIPPER. I'm not even joking. She barely even looked at my hands, and it was scary and painful. The iPhone watching continued through filing. A couple of times she missed and filed the front of my fingertips instead of my nails, and didn't even notice. Totally uneven and awful. As to be expected the paint job was also terrible. I have gaps between the polish and where my nails actually end on 3 fingers. Overspill on two. A big, meaty glob on my left thumb. I hesitated before submitting this review simply because the people who own this salon are nice, hardworking people who seemed to work hard to please me during my visit. However, it simply isn't fair to direct people to this salon after my experience. Frame of Reference: I have had both high-end salon and economical nail salon experiences and do understand the differences in service and quality. My economical nail salon experiences have yielded satisfactory results, without extras. I'm not terribly picky and pretty much know what I'm getting in a value nail spa. With that said, the manicure I received at E Nails last week was administered by someone who did not know her craft. While my pedicure seemed to work out, the manicure was a very different story. I wondered at the large-grain emery board she was using, and was astonished to see her file my nails back and forth, in two directions. The result was instant: even she noticed that my nail edges were fraying but kept at it, attempting to clip the edges with a scissor as she went. My nail edges caught on my clothing, immediately after I left, because they had been frayed not filed. The polish smudged, I believe, because no setting/drying element was used, and was peeling off by the time I got home. I had to take it off and cut my nails down to remove the frayed edges, and re-manicure myself at home. I have NEVER, in years of going to salons of any kind, had this kind of experience. I have no doubt that there may be other techs in this salon who can deliver better quality, and I truly hope that other people are having a better experience, as the reviews indicate, but I will not go back. It's simply not worth it to pay someone to ruin my nails, at any price. Instead of a relaxing morning, saving me some time and energy with a reasonable mani-pedi, I left stressed and had to find time to do a remedial manicure at home. I truly hope the owners read this and consider administering some quality control and training remedies for their staff. It could be such a nice local business. read more

Dear. This was two hours that I would like to forget. Came in around 5:10pm after a girlfriend working in City Center recommended it as a cheap but good mani pedi. For $32 considering my manly-short nails, sold. We were seating in our pedicure chairs promptly by 5:20 - finally around 5:45; with tepid water and pruning toes, I asked if they forgot about us. The pedicure was pretty standard, no frills. Same with the manicure. What made the time pretty unbearable was - my bad - forgetting what a sketch scene the City Center and Block E area is after 5pm... while the neighboring nail-getter was fixing a 4 inch long bedazzled index finger nail, her male friend and son were creating a scene. Granted I think he was out of his element, the son was screaming the entire time. Holding my work computer tight between my legs with wet nails for an hour was an experience I'd like to forget. My children are obsessed with pumice stones--I can't manage to keep one around because someone always walks off with it--so I rely on pedicures to keep the callus situation under control. I made a mistake of going to E Nails for a manicure twice. Both times, I had to fix my nails at home, they were so horrible. I mean, what part of " I want my nails shaped like a square" do you not understand? Their techniques are questionable, equipment is unclean and their nail polishes are old and barely usable. The lady that gave me a manicure interrupted her work THREE times to answer the phone, while two other ladies sat there doing nothing. When she wasn't on the phone, she was talking to her co-workers in her native language. No wonder she can't focus on her job! read more
