So, was happy with them for some things and not so happy with others. The good: They did clean a lot of things I didn't anticipate; and did a fantastic job on the owner's suite bathroom tub, caulk seal, and grout. The meh: Their dusting was just ok - a lot left in the blinds. The ugly: They turned my side table around to clean behind it, and things weren't returned to the state they were in. The drawers were facing the bed so they wouldn't open, the power cord management box was behind the side table vice beside it, lamps were unplugged. Also, we have those "Indows" plexiglass window inserts for sound isolation. They pulled one of them out (to clean the window i guess) and managed to scratch the plexiglass in the process - about a 4-5" gash, and did not put the indow back in. I mean, I thought they didn't do windows anyway? Why wouldn't they ask how it worked or if they should clean the window? I think if I were to have them back I'd have to supervise, or set expectations for them not to touch windows and to return things the way they were. read more

The younge ladies did a wonderful job at my house. Things were cleaned that I didn't think they were going to clean. House smelled so good and I didn't want to cook or use the kitchen at all because it looked so good. Pricing is fair and the work is phenomenal. Will definately use again and I'm a picky cleaner, lol. read more

Great experience with E&G cleaning! Transparent pricing, easy scheduling, thorough and efficient cleaning by three lovely ladies! Will be booking again in the near future. My home wasn't this clean when I moved in! read more

Great cleaning service, I have a 2br/1bath apartment, and the cleaners were very thorough and respectful of my home. I have a cat that leaves plenty of hair around, and the cleaning has made the place spotless. I would recommend to anyone. read more

Great service, every time. Cleaning is thorough, relatively quick (they come with 2-3 people, meaning that a townhouse is done in ~1-1.5 hrs) and price is reasonable. We have been using them for close to two years now. Can highly recommend. read more

The team from E&G always leaves our house immaculate and gets to areas (oven, floor spots I didn't notice) much better than we ever do. We have 2 cats and they did an amazing job of successfully vacuuming as much pet dander as possible (as we have guests visiting soon who are allergic). Their customer service is always quick to schedule and respond and the cleaning team is so kind and efficient. I don't know how they are so thorough in a reasonable amount of time, but we will be hiring them again. Trustworthy, hard-working, and enjoyable. read more

I had no idea how gross our apartment was until I moved out. Where the bed and furniture had previously been was piles and piles of dog hair, random chargers, water bottles, etc. The inside of our cabinets were also pretty gross. Thank goodness E&G Housekeeping came to the rescue. Setting up an appointment with a few days notice was super easy, and the owner was very responsive to questions, both via yelp and via email. I wasn't home when the maids came, but checked in after and let me tell you, it was FLAWLESS. As if we had never lived there, and the two years of dirt and grime had never built up. Every cabinet was spotless, and there was literally 0 dog hair left. If you ever need a powerhouse of a maid service to whip your place into shape at move out, these are your ladies. Not to mention, the prices were super reasonable as compared to other companies I spoke with. read more

Xenia and her team are great! They do excellent work, but most importantly for us, their scheduling system is great. We have a dog, who has to be out of the house for cleaning, and Xenia does a great job of pre-scheduling our monthly cleaning with a 3-5 day advance email to confirm arrival times/dates, etc. She's been very consistent and I've never once had the cleaners still be around when doggie and I return from our little jaunt. Their work has been excellent with only one incident where something was broken, which they quickly flagged and corrected. We've been very satisfied with their work and think the price is fair. Highly recommend! read more

I highly recommend Xenia and E & G Housekeeping. I have used E&G for monthly house cleaning for about a year and have always been impressed with their work. They show up on time, do a thorough job, and charge a very reasonable price. read more

they left my home spotless and cleaned areas I would have never thought to clean! getting a quote was easy and my cleaning was scheduled as soon as I needed it. The three cleaners were hard working and very thorough! I definitely will be using this service again. read more

With picky company (my mother and grandmother--haha!) coming into town and no time on my hands, I needed help and a deep cleaned apartment fast! After reaching out to a couple of companies, Xenia responded nearly instantly and said she had availability for the next day. From there, she made everything easy, asking for all of the necessary information right up front and leaving any instructions for me (how to pay, leaving the key, etc). When I returned home from work the next day, my apartment was SPOTLESS. It smelled delightful and the air felt clean. (Which made me question the normal quality of my air...) Nothing was left untouched. Even my dog's bowls had been cleaned!! I walked around for probably 10 minutes (jaw dropped) inspecting everything that they had touched. I like to think I keep a very clean home, but my version of deep cleaning didn't even touch theirs! I'm so grateful that I found E&G, and plan to use them many more times in the future! Would highly recommend. Thank you so much for the help! read more

I spoke with the owner of this company via yelp and then via email regarding having my condo cleaned before I moved in. I provided Xenia with my location and what I wanted done at my property. We finally were able to agree on a date for the cleaning, and she asked me to email her to figure out what time would work well for them on that day of the service. Unfortunately, when I emailed Xenia she let me know that they didn't service my area and would be unable to complete the cleaning. I found issue with this, because on this company's website it says they service Washington DC. If you know anything about the geography of DC, the city is only 15 miles from top to bottom, so for a company to say they do not service a a particular area in DC seems fishy to me. It was shocking to me that if there was in fact a logistics issue for that day (as Xenia tried to back track and say after I called her out SMH) that the owner did not try to offer an alternative day when it would make more sense for her team to complete the job. I'm left to assume that this company provides false advertisement, and horrible customer service. read more

The team at E&G Housekeeping provided us with top-notch service. From the quick response to the initial contact and each subsequent email, Xenia provided wonderful customer service. The cleaning team cleaned our 3 bedroom house thoroughly and for a reasonable price. We knew the pricing up front and there was never any question on our end about payment. They were easy to schedule and always communicated the exact time of arrival days before. Even when I clogged our bathroom sink, they reported it to us and handled cleaning around it with ease and a 'no problem.' I would recommend the E&G team to anyone looking for house cleaning services done by a reliable and responsible team. Thank you Xenia and team! read more

Although Xenia is a very nice person, I would not recommend E & G Housekeeping for recurring service. I was referred to this company by a woman who used to clean for me but decided to close her business. I then talked with Xenia and explained what I needed, including my preferences on number of people coming to clean and the various cleaning products. We then agreed to price, date and time every two weeks, etc. The first cleaning went as expected and was great. Then each week following, Xenia began changing things, including time of arrival. New "trainees" were then included with the primary cleaning person and time spent at my house became shorter (although my price stayed the same). I finally texted and emailed Xenia to talk about what was occurring, but she did not respond. The cleaning crew then just did not show up at the next appointed time. I was left hanging with no explanation. E & G Housekeeping may be good for one-time cleaning, but I definitely would not recommend them for recurring visits. read more

My neighbor and I searched long and hard for a thorough house cleaner. E&G is who you need! Xenia, the owner, is very easy to work with and makes sure that your experience is nothing less than perfect. Their prices are very reasonable and it is such a nice treat to finally have someone clean my place. Don't hesitate to call them.. seriously, I am fairly picky and they are very detail oriented. Also, they bring their own tools and cleaners which was important to me. read more

My husband and I moved into our condo back in July of '15 and have slowly been getting to place up to snuff so we can start having get-togethers. All this time we haven't really kept up with the cleaning and our furniture was starting to get dusty with the kitchen faring worst of all (we prepare 3 meals a day in it most days). When we got married, we decided to save a little money and host a small reception at our dirty condo. Through a little digging (and many questionable businesses), we happened to find this 5-star rated cleaning service. The cleaners did an amazing job and we're so happy we hired them. They brought their own supplies, 3 ladies, and were done in a few hours. The stovetop looked cleaner than it did when we moved in. All surfaces were gleaming. The entire condo just looked brighter. On top of that, when it came time to pay, we were asked to pay even less than our quote was, which was already a bargain! We had a schedule conflict right before the cleaners were to arrive, but Xenia was very responsive to email so I could get her new directions. We're so happy with our experience, we may end up having them clean on a regular basis. We certainly need another cleaning post-reception (our guests were a little messy). If you're looking for a cleaner in the DC area, you won't regret hiring E & G Housekeeping. read more

E & G Housekeeping was absolutely a godsend during our move. After moving all our belongings and packing, I had absolutely no desire to clean our small one bedroom rowhome apartment. I researched cleaners extensively and E & G did not disappoint. Xenia, business manager, was extremely flexible and responsive. They were very flexible with our strict moving schedule. Our two cleaners arrived early and I went through brief instructions. My husband and I left to let them have space to clean. We came home hours later and it is spotless! They had even cleaned and thought of things that we had not. Both my husband and I are mad at ourselves that we didn't hire a cleaning team before this. We are sonsad that we discovered this wonderful company and service as we are leaving the city. We can't thank the team at E&G enough for their great work! read more

I have been using E&G for about six months now, and have zero complaints! They were my first hire after relocating to DC, and I fully expected to go through a few before I found the right fit. Their regular cleaning service is phenomenal-- they are professional, never miss a thing, and take their time. In addition to the deep cleaning, they put things back where they go. I never walk in and feel like the job was rushed. I work from home which can be tricky to manage but they are very respectful and always on time. I also like that they send 2-3 people so the job is done quickly. And the scheduling is so easy. Xenia is responsive and reliable; I never have to worry about 'keeping up' with appointments because she runs her business well and is an effective communicator. read more

E&G have been great! I'm not one to do a lot of reviews but I couldn't be more happy with the service E&G provides. They are careful and reliable and the house is always in good shape when they are done. They have my business for the long haul and I highly recommend them if you are looking for a good team to help you around the house. read more

I am so lucky that I found Xenia and her team! E & G was referred to us by friends and I have been using them for the past couple of years. With my various moves across DC, E & G has been amazingly accommodating- especially with their availability. I always look forward to scheduling my cleanings. As soon as I open the door to the condominium, I can smell the cleanliness down the hall! Recommend them to all. read more

Highly recommend! Xenia is a pleasure to work with for scheduling appointments (very quick to respond to email) and the team that comes to clean our home every two weeks is just fantastic! read more

I am writing this review about half an hour after the team of three left. My house looks great! I have way too much stuff in my house which makes it difficult to clean, but they really did a good job. I am especially excited that they moved things on surfaces to clean under them. (You'd be surprised how many people won't do that-even when it's just a book or two). My kitchen and bathroom especially are spotless. They dusted each of my five panel doors! (Again this never happens.) They said after three cleanings my house will look better so I can't wait to see how clean it will be in the future! (Because it looks pretty amazing to me now!) They were very professional and thorough. It was very easy to book and they were on time. I highly recommend them. read more

Changing my review to 5 stars. Why? After an initial not-so-good experience, the owner made a point to reach out and make it right. The second time around was great! read more

E&G is everything you could want from a cleaning service. Reasonable prices, quick replies from the owner for scheduling, cleaners that show up right at the scheduled time and then a phenomenal cleaning. I could not recommend them more highly and they will be the only cleaning service I use moving forward. read more

E&G has been cleaning my house for more than six years and I would not think of using anyone else. They do a great job for a reasonable price, they are trustworthy, reliable and easy to communicate with. They will accommodate special requests or areas in need of extra attention without any problem and they even remind me when it is time for our regular cleaning. We started off at a rental house and when we bought our own place and moved, they did an amazing deep clean for us that was such a stress-reliever for me at the time, as I had two very young children. I highly recommend them if you are looking for an excellent cleaning service in the DMV area. read more

I've used E&G for a few months now. It's always so easy to book with Xenia, even for the next day. The team shows up on time and they're in and out in a matter of a couple hours. I trust the crew so much that I'll often arrange for them to come by even if no one is home. Xenia makes it very convenient to pay and set up recurring appointments. And I forgot to mention - the cleaning job is top notch. I'm very particular about the kitchen and bathroom and both are spotless when E&G is done. read more

Excellent service! I'm a bit of a neat freak and have been disappointed with some of the cleaning services I've used recently. E&G Housekeeping far and away exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to make an appointment with Xenia. The crew showed up on time and were extremely professional. But it was the actually cleaning that had me impressed. The crew was extremely efficient and easily worked around me while I was working from home. Throughout the cleaning, the question that kept popping into my head was "They clean that too?!". For example...I don't recall many (if any) cleaning crews that wiped down all the runny residue from the shampoo/soap bottles in the shower or cleaned both sides of the kitchen trash can lid. And there were numerous other things they completed as if it were a given, and didn't require any prompting from me. After the cleaning, they asked me to inspect their work and let me know if I wanted anything addressed. I can honestly say everything was perfect. In fact it was so nice, I was afraid to touch anything for fear of messing things up. LOL. Bottom line I'm sold on E&G and will definitely be using them again and again. read more

Easy to schedule and communicate with the team. The job that I hired them for was an apartment cleaning clothes out. Start to finish they did a great job! The ladies did a great job and showed attention to detail while working efficiently to get everything done. If I needed cleaning services I would definitely hire them again! read more

These are my go to cleaners. I would highly recommend them. They have keys to my house so they usually come while I'm at work. There is nothing like coming home to a spotless home. I mean SPOTLESS! My apologies for a delayed review, but this company was absolutely fabulous nonetheless! I sought services to clean my apartment in prep for a move-out. They were punctual and finished within the estimated timeframe provided. This company's rates are very reasonable, which I appreciate. The company owner has a great customer service orientation, communicating with me through planning what services I needed to flexibility on their availability. I highly recommend them and will use them again for routine maintenance, if they serve our new area. Fingers crossed!!! read more

This review is for booking E&G's services only because... I'm in need of a house cleaning and, seeing the rave reviews just yesterday (~530pm) I requested a quote online for a cleaning. I waited 30 minutes - nothing. In fact, no response for the rest of the night (and their posted hours are until 10pm). OK, well people get busy. Right now, it's 2pm the next day and still no response. I even just tried calling 5 minutes ago and got a random, unmarked voicemail. It's too bad because I wanted to try this service out from all of the great reviews, including other companies I've used that are also listed here on Yelp. Instead, I'm writing this review after having booked another company for tomorrow at 8am. read more

There is no doubt that after living in DC for nearly 6 years and working with several cleaning companies in the area, this one is at the top of my list. Francis' professionalism, punctuality and thoroughness is unmatched by several of the other companies in the area. They are especially affordable and I have been a client for about 6 months now. I have not purchased any coupons for this company, since they are worth every penny under full price. I hate to write a review about how good they are, since they are my best kept secret. :) read more

These folks are good. They came on time worked diligently and did a great job. My laminate floor has a glow that I haven't seen since it was new. I wish I knew what they used on it. They brought all their own supplies which included a very powerful vacuum. And guess what, one of the cleaners even sang while she worked. They seemed happy to clean my house. I am very pleased! read more

I bought a groupon to have my 4 bedroom house cleaned. It was absolutely disgusting before they came, thanks to some filthy roommates, and the ladies at Maid2Be did an amazing job!!!! They worked a miracle in the kitchen and bathrooms. They really went above and beyond--in addition to standard cleaning, they washed dishes, made the beds, and organized our clutter. They were also incredibly friendly, polite and efficient. read more

I bought the Groupon for Maid2Be. It was very easy to set up an appointment - I made one for this past Friday, two days before my wedding and a ton of guests. Although our maid was 40 minutes late (understandably it's hard to park where I live), they did a great job cleaning. They really did go through a comprehensive checklist - cleaning my most important priorities: cabinet facings, baseboards, dusting, etc. I would definitely use them again next time I need a cleaning. It would've been a 5 star if they were on time. read more

Love this service and have recommended it to friends. Xenia is always very communicative: she emails me a few days before every appointment to confirm when the cleaners will arrive. The cleaners are always very thorough (e.g. they actually move things around to dust properly), and I love that they have an option for only using green/environmentally-friendly products. Also, the cleaning team is always a group of 3 people, which means they work relatively fast too. Couldn't recommend this service more highly! read more

I contracted for a deep cleaning--kind of move out, but with me staying in.Three women, who I can only call miracle workers, arrived and cleaned my one bedroom/den apartment well beyond my expectations. They took a little less time than the projected four hours because I had one space that I hadn't cleared. As I watched them, I was able to get some pointers that I can use between cleanings. I intend to use them biweekly to keep my apartment as they left it yesterday. I found myself energized and inspired to maintain the apartment in a clean state. I recommend them highly. read more
