If you are thinkinig of buying a Dyson vacuum, don't. Positives are they don't have a cord or a bag. Negatives outweigh. Have 3 of these are regret buying them. The first one needs a new motor--not that old. The next is a small one, that needs constant attention--can't even finish one room before it demands attention. They don't come with a second filter (but with lots of attachments you won't use), which you must have, and frequently they are on back order, so if you start to vacuum and it says, clean filter, you wash the filter and wait a day to finish the room while the filter dries. It constantly telling you do so something. Very frustrating. I have gone back to Miele, which is incredible, cord and all. read more

After being teased by both my girlfriend and sister for not owning a Dyson vacuum (though funny enough, I was the one who bought both of their vacuums as gifts) I decided to visit Dyson to learn about the new hype surrounding their latest V15 model. As soon as I walked into the store, I was greeted by an extremely helpful young lady named Ayame--who had quite possibly the best a-symmetrical haircut in all of San Francisco--where she proceeded to answer all of the questions I threw her way. Ayame was as knowledgeable and professional as you would expect one to be when dealing with someone without a Dyson in their life. No one answers the phone. Don't bother going anytime NEAR their closing hours. Security blocks access at min 15-min prior. Was at the crosswalk as they allowed entry to another guest. A literal 15 seconds later, was told they closed early when I got up to the door. Make it make sense. I've been to this store in person to try a vacuum out before purchasing two hepa animal balls online afterward through Costco. When I came in I got what I thought was decent service. So when my mom wanted a new vacuum, I sent her here to get educated and try out what the best option is for her, since we have different needs and because this is 1 of a handful of demo stores across the country. There were two younger male employees present during her visit and neither of them educated her or let her demo any vacuums. She's an older, down-to-earth lady, with an accent who took muni all the way across town based on my suggestion only to experience this subpar experience even after she explained to them why she was there. This happened a few weeks ago. I'm very disappointed she has been discriminated against because of her humble appearance and ethnicity. She ended up getting her old vacuum fixed and I will be considering other brands when it's time for replacements. They shouldn't call themselves a demo store if they don't do demos. It's misleading and disrespectful of other people's energy. read more

What great fun! After you've had your free demo espresso at the nearby Nespresso store, you can walk on over to Dyson and try out their vacuum cleaners, hair dryers and other appliances. The place is totally cool-looking, and you play good cop (the guy who vacuums everything up) after first playing bad cop (the guy who grinds Cheerios into a carpet with his heel). The Dyson appliances are obviously worthy of your attention. I haven't bought anything yet, but the odds are good that I'll own some of their stuff in the near future. read more

I received the highest level possible of stellar customer service from Abe Epstein. I called the SF Dyson store seeking information on which new cordless vacuum to buy; it appeared my three year old Vll's motor died. Luckily I was connected with Abe. It was not my intention to request a free new vacuum, I just wanted product information. Abe listened as I tried to turn on my vacuum and heard the dying motor thru the phone. He informed me that I was one month past the 3 year warranty and that this motor was not available for a very long time. He asked me to ship him my Dyson and that after confirming the problem; he would send me a new vacuum. This was Sunday morning; he immediately emailed me a prepaid shipping label for the return. Within 5 days, by Friday I was opening my new Dyson V15 and charging it, they overnighted it to me!
