I was curious about the new Airstraight product because it has gotten some good magazine reviews recently. I stopped by the San Francisco Demo Store to find out more about it, how it's used & potentially buy it. Michael, the representative who helped me, was fantastic. He showed me how it works in both the dry & the wet modes and showed me some techniques that I was able to try out on my hair in the store. These guys told me that I would be able to get a delivery of one of their incredibly expensive products by August 28th. They never delivered the product to UPS, and now they're finally saying that it's going to arrive Sept 1st, which is too late as we won't be around to receive it at that time. We've spent a lot of money with these guys, and the orders are almost always incorrect or have issues. It's remarkable how it happens every time. If you can get the device in the showroom, or at another retailer, they're generally very good, but if they con you into ordering something, good luck. On top of that, they advertise "Expert Customer Service, 7 Days A Week," with this idea that they're going to be there for you after purchasing their very expensive equipment. Well, they won't. The customer service is almost always unavailable, it takes days to get any kind of response from a person, and all they have is a bot that can help you with things like, "how do I replace a filter" or, "how to I order a replacement part," but even then, if you don't know exactly what you're looking for, the bot almost always suggests replacement parts for the wrong devices, which you then have to try and return. Overall the products are great, but the company is so incredibly bad in every other way, I don't think we're going to buy from them anymore, which is a real shame. read more

Admittedly Dyson's very Tesla-esque in show, I'm impressed... there's even a custom parts bar at the back of the room and a very hands-on display of their full line of products. The store serves its purpose in having all their appliances for you to test out with helpful floor associates walking about... but if you're able to snag a V10 off a certain deal site this week with a {free gift} Dok worth $150 on its own--head that route. Yesterday I walked in the store and Michael greeted me and ask what he can do for me. I told him about the problem I had with the vaccine I bought where the brush is not rolling after I washed the rollin brush. He asked me if it is still under the warranties and I said yes. I told him that suction power still comes on but rolling brush was not moving at all. He said I am sorry to hear that and told me wait for couple of minutes. He came back in quickly and handed me the new rolling brush. I was not expecting this at all as I thought I may have to buy a new brush. Came in with the wife for a weekend retreat. As soon as we walked in the store, was greeted by a wonderful young lady named Ayame. Had questions about the new hair dryers, cases and Humidifiers. Ayame was able to handle the insane amount of questions from both myself and my wife like a champ. Very calm, collective, friendly and professional attitude during the rapid fire question round. Needless to say, we left very satisfied and a little lighter in our wallet, but with no regrets. Eric the manager on duty was very attentive as well and kept checking up on us to see if there was anything that was needed or questions answered. I would give no stars to their customer service and this dyson store! 1. The worst Customer service ever! 2. They don't value their customers. 3. I went with intention to try and buy the dyson supersonic hair drier and called them one day ahead for the same. They told me to come at 1:15 and took my name as well so that they accommodate us for trying it. But they did not even tell if it is confirmed or not. They just asked me to come but after that they did not properly take us. My question is why do you want to ask a customer to come and not provide the proper service? 4. Also, they did not apologize for their mistake which was really bad again. 5. They don't even care if you own their products or not. What a worst customer service they have! 6. More hip than an apple store, part club where video screens line the walls and the music makes you want to dance, part contemporary museum of practical housewares, where function meets chic design. More outstanding than the atmosphere is the elegant service that is provided, by the very polished staff. Eric Beals the Assistant Store Manager assisted me with the purchase of my Dyson Supersonic hair dryer, and he monogrammed my Dyson Supersonic storage case for me. Eric would be a perfect fit for a job a Louis Vuitton, or Hermes. I have never received better service. REALLY disappointed in the customer service at this store. I have been a long time client to Dyson products (currently own one hair dryer, two vacuums, and one air filter) and have never felt so un-welcomed to the store. I've been to the store before and last time the rep. that had helped me out was super helpful and super friendly. But this time, it was such a let down. I stopped by with the full intent on purchasing another Dyson hair dryer, but the attitude I received from the sales rep. made me feel like they didn't care about selling their products at all. This is how our conversation went; I am appalled. Me: (at the door since the store is blocked off) "Hi, I'm here to take a look and inquire about purchasing a dyson hair dryer" Sales Lady: Okay, well we can't let customers inside the store right now. Me: Oh, okay totally understand. (Really awkward 2 minute pause, at this point I wasn't sure if the store was blocked off for limited entry or completely just no entry due to COVID) Me: oh, so then are you guys online purchase and in-store pick up only? Or.....? Sales Lady: No, you can purchase here. Me: Okay.... Well I said I was looking to buy a hair dryer. Sales Lady: okay. (Another really awkward 2 minute pause) Me: okay... well I wanted to know what colors you have available and if you had any holidays sales? Sales Lady: -really unenthusiastically, with seemingly no intention to try to sell the product- The dryer is right there on the table (Points to dryer, and proceeds to list out colors.). We have no sales. At this point I was so flustered with her response and attitude. I honestly came in with the full intention of walking out of the store with a new dryer (in fact, I've been looking forward to it for months). But the attitude that I was met with at the store front completely put me off guard. I walked away frustrated, upset, and not having purchased anything. I'm going to echo what everyone has said about service. I was also here at 10am to score a air purifier (there was HUGE line for it!) and managed to snag one! Something must be said about their exceptional composition. You would have thought it were Black Friday! We all lined up and the sales reps took us one at a time. They made it personal to each person but also acknowledged the people in line and did everything with a pleasant tone and smiles. I appreciated it when one of the reps addressed the line and announced that he was going to personally check the inventory and came back telling us the exact models and colors they had left. You can escape the bustle of Union Square, there're no queues, and the store is the perfectly temperature controlled thanks to their amazing fans. If they served cocktails, I'd still be there now. If you're looking for knowledgeable, friendly, 5-Star service than look no further. Selena C knows what she is talking about. I bought a Dyson V11 directly from the Dyson company to have a convenient and quick way to clean up but not have to pull out my Kirby. The V11 quickly became my preferred go to which resulted in getting rid my perfectly functioning Kirby. I vacuum every day and also use the Dyson for many cleaning and dusting needs. I haven't missed the Kirby even once until my Dyson had a part malfunction. I called the Dyson company and was suppose to get an email then a call and nothing was ever followed up on. I got the machine out and took it to the Dyson Demo Store in SF which was an all day thing as I live 2 hours away. I was greeted a kind guy that directed me to Jesus. Not only did Jesus remedy the situation but introduced me to some new products for my V11. He also showed me other new Dyson products now on my wish list. Jesus really went above and beyond in representing Dyson not only for fixing the issue I had with our older model but by defending the company who I was convinced didn't care about me and my situation after the sale was made. When in need of replacement to a newer model stick vacuum or every day Dyson products I will be contacting Jesus. If you happen to see this Jesus I know you felt like what you did for me was just your job but it meant everything to me. I will continue to use my older model until I can't then look forward to contacting you to upgrade to the latest and greatest. So best to you Jesus and again thank you!!!! I was helped by Abraham E. today. My vacuum cleaner broke and Abraham provided the best help I could get. First, he has diagnosed the problem very fast, has explained the nature of the problem and provided some solutions. I left the shop knowing that I will receive the replacement for the "broken part" within a few days. I wish I could receive the same level of the "customer's care" from the other shops in San Francisco as well. Dyson's products are GREAT. I've had my Dyson blow dryer for quite some time now. I absolutely love it! Several of my friends and clients have purchased the dryer since I've told them how much I enjoy it. I went to the SF location yesterday to see what could be done about my blow dryer. I walked in excited but unfortunately was met with a nasty look from an older Caucasian woman with grey hair. She stared me up and down as I entered the store (I am a black woman AND a salon owner.) I immediately didn't feel welcome in the store. However, I told her what had been going on with my dryer and if I could possibly exchange it for the professional dryer (which I had been told by a staff member pre covid) or pay the difference. She told me she had NEVER heard of anything like. Ok fine. My blow dryer isn't working I'm here to get another one. She shows me the professional dryer and I tell her I've already seen it and I'm familiar with it. She immediately asks "Are you licensed?" "You need a license to get this blow dryer and do you have it with you?" Which I did in fact have. At that point I asked to speak to the manager. I asked could someone else help me purchase a new dryer because he was unable to do anything about my old dryer. I was also tired of being mistreated by the woman who helped me initially. The woman who helped me next was very sweet! I wish she could've helped me from the beginning. She apologized for her coworker but the damage had been done at that point. I will not be coming back to this location or bringing them anymore business due to bad experience. I understand these are very hard times but no one should have to be treated like this. read more

When the wildfire smoke began to get crazy bad in the city, I decided I would take the plunge and buy myself an air purifier. I did a lot of research, and Dyson was way up there. When I got to the store, just minutes after they opened on a Friday morning, there was already a long line outside. Macy's was on strike and their loud and crazy banging was driving everyone nuts. But one of the Dyson employees, calm, cool & collected, made his way down the line asking if we already know which product we were interested in and if they had it in stock. When we finally got inside, it was incredibly organized regarding social distancing. With markings on the floor leading to the counter, there were maybe 6-8 customers inside at a time. While in line inside, another employee came down the line with an iPad to begin the process of purchasing your item(s). It was so organized and even with the craziness of the loud banging and super long lines, every one of them were professional, friendly and helpful. I was so impressed with how well the Dyson worked, that I went back and purchased a 2nd one. Don't buy your Dyson anywhere else. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong purifier and have to return it in exchange for the correct one. I spoke to Abraham over the phone to find out what options I have, either to come in the store or to go to a UPS drop-off. Luckily for me, he wasn't with a customer and graciously took care of my return process over the phone, pointing out how much easier it is to return to a UPS store with the label than to drive out to the store in Union Square (the humidifier/cooler device I ordered is as big as me and I have a hard time picturing myself schlepping it over from the parking garage to the store!). My husband and I saw this store while shopping during Christmas and were quite surprised - at a time when most stores are going away from brick and mortar, these guys opened one! We went in and were awed by the technology behind the v8 vacuum cleaner - the sales rep Amanda was extremely helpful and knew a lot about how things work etc. We ended up buying the vacuum cleaner and we have been very happy with it. My experience at this Dyson Demo Store was fantastic! I was sort of indecisive about whether or not I wanted to purchase a new vacuum, but I have heard about the good quality that Dyson vacuums provide for many homes and decided to at least check it out. The interior was definitely quite well-designed to showcase all the different products in a very professional manner. Clean (of course, it's a vacuum store), simple, and elegant. Basically I felt like I was in a showroom for high-end luxury cars or something. I was met by a gentleman by the name of Shah, who greeted me warmly as I began my browsing. He had a cheery, welcoming attitude, which made it so that I was very comfortable learning about the different products. Very soon, he was letting me try out the Dyson V7 and he let me test its cleaning power by spilling some food crumbs on a test floor. I honestly had a lot of fun just vacuuming away. He answered all my questions really well, and I didn't feel pressured to buy anything, yet in the end I made a decision for myself to invest in a Dyson V7. I've been using the V7 each week cleaning my apartment floor. It is still functioning fine, and with the monthly rinsing of the filter, I haven't run into any issues. I highly recommend investing in a Dyson vacuum if you don't have one. They are great and they last. read more
