My partner and I went into the store and purchased two items under pressure. We love Dyson vacuums and we're dye for an upgrade. We purchased the premium one with all the attachments, only to be told two days later it was not in stock and they wanted to supply one of lesser value at the same price. When we said no, they sold us the lesser model in stock and gave us all the attachments that they also had in stock because the warehouse did not have anything. It has not been pleasant and a real headache. The worst thing was that I purchased an airstrait, dryer and straightener, which was clearly wrong for me and the salesperson should have known it. It was very heavy and clunky and only works if you have almost strait, very long hair. It did not even dry my hair, which is fine but plentiful. The manual makes that clear; and it was obvious that the store personnel did not know either the product or inventory. Had they suggested just the cordless hairdryer for me I would have bought it with no complaint. As it was, I had to return it and I am waiting for the refund. The combo is a great idea; but not yet ready for public use or the Dyson name. It is very pricey to boot. I will wait for someone, not Dyson, to develop one that works for everyone and is cordless. read more

We went in for product info with the intent to buy a product within the week, and when I didn't want to buy on the spot the salesman became aggressive, stormed away, then came back and refused to look me in the eye or speak with me while saying things like "good luck" to my wife. I purchased a Dyson Air Purifier TP02 on their online site. It was huge when it arrived! I thought I was purchasing the smaller one, but to my surprise it was the larger one. So I immediately requested to return it (same day). They NOW inform me they don't return refurbished units? What? Why don't they say so BEFORE you purchase it! I have never written a YELP review before but this is a good reason to do so. I came into the store (with my dog I KNOW) to see if I could get some help with my Dyson air wrap. I have always left it on my vanity in my bathroom away from the sink. It had never gotten close to being wet but my bathroom is so small that it get so moist when the shower and bathtub is running the airwarp had an error light come on. The salesperson named Angel was so helpful, kind, and understanding that not only did he listen to my issue he solved my problem. He went back TWICE and helped dryed out the machine until it turned back on. This kind of customer service is why I would definitely buy a product from Dyson again. THANK YOU so much ANGEL! I have used other household brands, but I keep returning to Dyson products (2 vacuum cleans, 1 air purifier in the past 10 years) for the quality, reliability and service. This store is yet another reason why I keep coming back to Dyson. I came here to check out their cordless vacuums. I've bought online as well as gone to their service center in Union City. They were a great experience, but the Union Square demo store tops it all. The store is beautiful. I came here twice and tried different vacuums before I ended up buying my cordless vacuum. Both times the associates -- Angel during my 1st visit and Miguel (I think) during my 2nd -- were super knowledgeable and patient. I asked a lot of questions and tested each cordless vacuum. They really know their products and went over the pros & cons of each model. They also offered to throw in a few extra accessories in addition to the discount (it was Black Friday weekend). Visited recently (less than 12 mos) opened Dyso Demo Store. It has the latest Dyson products from hand dryers & hair dryers, to the latest heater/cooler fan, to the latest vacuum cleaners. This visit was truly a 5-Star experience. Greeted with a smile, not hounded by sales ppl, rather approached by a set of professionally dressed and trained young staff members. (Imagine Apple staff dressed in suits.) Dyson technology is only closely matched by others, but there IS no other once you've tried a Dyson. I purchased the Cinetic Animal + Allergy vacuum cleaner, which has the latest Dyson technology where you do not need to clean a filter. Visit the Dyson website to get more details (& NO, I don't work for Dyson, but I am a very satisfied user). This is my 3rd Dyson after giving the others to my daughters. The very first one is over 10 yo and has never needed any repairs. Dyson Demo store is very modern looking and will match any offers on line or newspaper. The staff are young, energetic, and knowledgeable professionals. They look like they are still college students, but they treated me like I was a valued customer. This is a breath of fresh air, hats off to Dyson & management team! The gentleman who cared about my needs was Abraham Ep. He took his time, answered all my questions and brought out a demo (there was not a floor model yet). Abraham, you are a 5-Star person. I would highly recommend visiting this store, just to check out what they have and learn more about what Dyson is all about. Today, this store really did things right in earning my 5-Star rating. Absolute worst customer service. You would think that spending as much as one does for a Dyson vacuum, that you'd get stellar service. After almost a year of use, my vacuum battery/console itself took gave out. When I visited this store, it was absolutely battle just to get a replacement. Once I got home to open, I noticed it was a different version than my previous vacuum so I called with some questions and only to be given attitude by Miguel and then was abruptly and rudely hung up on. I watch a lot of Korean dramas. For some reason, almost all of them have Dyson products. I never thought I'd be a victim of product placement, but it actually made me want the hair dryer. I already have the vacuum and I love it. Decided to visit the Dyson store on Tuesday, September 11th around 3pm to check it out. I played around with the hair dryer and asked the sales people a few questions. Still wasn't sure if I wanted to drop $400 on a hair dryer, but I thought why not just browse. The sales people were very knowledgeable and helpful. Easily answered all my questions. I told the roommate about the hair dryer and what did he get me for my birthday? That's right! The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer! Granted, I've only used it a few times, but it does dry a little faster. Plus, it leaves my hair super soft and silky. Those smoothing nozzles really do work. And I don't even need to use a round brush. Also, because it doesn't have the motor in the back, I don't have to worry about getting my hair caught and fried in it. This had happened a few times when I dried my hair upside down. So is it worth the splurge when I can buy a standard dryer for about $30-$40? I'm not quite sure yet. But since it was a present, I'm super happy with it. Definitely better than any other hair dryer I've owned. read more

Once you know, order and had most units in stock. Curb side pick up was even easier w Josh. Called to let him know I was on my way and plenty of parking directly in front of store. Required to show him ID and credit card used for transaction purchase. Offered to cary unit and help to put in my car. Great service. This is our sixth Dyson but first at this store. If you are thinkinig of buying a Dyson vacuum, don't. Positives are they don't have a cord or a bag. Negatives outweigh. Have 3 of these are regret buying them. The first one needs a new motor--not that old. The next is a small one, that needs constant attention--can't even finish one room before it demands attention. They don't come with a second filter (but with lots of attachments you won't use), which you must have, and frequently they are on back order, so if you start to vacuum and it says, clean filter, you wash the filter and wait a day to finish the room while the filter dries. It constantly telling you do so something. Very frustrating. I have gone back to Miele, which is incredible, cord and all. read more

Patrick did a great job of answering my questions and made it easy by shipping the dryer to me since I was traveling. I received it in 2 days! The first time I've been to this demo store was maybe 2 years ago when they were doing complimentary blow outs featuring their hairdryer (the curling wand hadn't come out yet). I was greeted warmly, and told the staff member of my appointment. I was early, so I peruses the store as the stylist was finishing up with the previous client. I was then offered a place to sit, and some water when I was done perusing. That stylist was awesome. She explained everything I needed to know about the Dyson hairdryer and why she loved it. She also used some really nice hair products, like Ouai's hair oil. My hair looked so good. Plus, I was really impressed at the temperature the hairdryer reached, where it wasn't so hot, yet it still dried my hair thoroughly. I would've given her a tip, except she wasn't allowed to as she contracted to be there. So when I saw that they were doing a Lunar New Year event showcasing their curling wand, I promptly rsvp'd on eventbrite. I walked in, and no one greeted me. I went to the back where I saw a line for the fortune teller, which also was the bar area. As I stood in line, one of the waiters had a tray of drinks, looked at me, and kept walking. A woman sitting at one of the styling booths was approached by a staff member, who stated that the wand works best on damp hair, and proceeded to use a sample of hair to showcase the wand. I sat 2 booths down, since her friend was in the next booth, to listen and see the demonstration. When that was over, the staff member left. I sat at at the booth for awhile and no one asked if I needed help. I then got up, got a glass of prosecco on my own, popped a couple of macarons, and bounced. The one question I had was how the wand handles frizz. I use a straightener to curl my hair, and it does get frizzy, even when I use products to prevent it. During the demonstration, the staff member told the woman that she can book an appointment, and come with damp hair. I live nearby, so I can do that, but I can't imagine coming from the outer neighborhoods with damp hair just to try the wand. And unlike the blowout, they may not have hair products to make your hair as nice as it could be. The store itself is nice, and displays many of Dyson's products. If you're curious about their products, it's a good place to go to. If you do go there, hopefully someone will help you out. read more

I LOVE this Dyson demo store- mainly because of Rose. My latest Dyson purchase was the Air wrap. I purchased the set at the Santa Clara Fair Valley location, which was not the best experience. I understand if the barrels I chose are not in stock, but it would be great to know that it will take 5-6 weeks to get them BEFORE I pay for the purchase. Also, it would be great to get the confirmation emails and information as promised. But when I called the Santa Clara location to follow up on the three long barrels (since I received no email confirming my purchase and only received the email for the warranty), they were extremely rude. It still is very hard for me to understand why they were so rude to me. I think it's understandable that I would want baseline information for a $600 purchase. So, I got in my car and drove to the SF location. Before I arrived, I spoke with Joshua, who was extremely friendly. I walked in and was helped by Rose. She kindly listened to my experience and made everything better. She looked up my order and sent me the information via email, which the Santa Clara location said over the phone that they couldn't do. My experience with Dyson was not great initially but, at the end of the day, I am happy with Dyson thanks to Rose. I tried to email/contact Dyson to thank them for employing great people liked Rose but there is no way to provide that feedback. So I resorted to posting a Yelp review, and I seriously rarely write reviews. If you want to purchase anything Dyson and you're within driving range of this location, go here.
