Had a few great experiences with Dynamic. Only thing is I wish they installed some select third party parts. Since they only really do factory parts, everything is quite expensive. They did the front axle and diff seals in my LBZ Duramax, and the quality of work was great, and I haven't had any leaks yet after almost a year since they did it. They worked quickly to get my vehicle into their schedule and the pricing is fair given the price of factory parts these days. They also repaired the U joint and yoke on the driveshaft and everything is running great. read more

horrible company extremely rude. Was told Oring heads would work with factory head gaskets that is not correct. Cooant leaked passed the head gaskes ruining the head gaskets and the headss rusted up all within 24 hours. The company would not take blame when they were in the wrong. Refused to refund any money would not recommend using this company they lie and they are very rude and they cost me more money because of their mistake. I had heard that Dynamic was rude and expensive but decided to use them because of their close proximity to my work. I am so glad I did! Every shop I have ever dealt with always talked down to me and I expected the same at Dynamic being a girl with a diesel truck but they are the complete opposite. From the moment I stepped in the door, I felt completely comfortable & respected. They have NEVER tried to take advantage of me. These guys are as trustworthy as it gets, and make owning a diesel a little bit less of a headache. They almost always have openings to get you in within the week. Auto Repairs facilities are never on my list of fun things to do. With that being said, these guys certainly made it a little less painul. We had our vehicle towed in here after hours and left the keys in the night drop. They started working on the vehicle by noon then next day. My husband checked in with them and told them to take their time with finding out was wrong with it because we were going to be out of town. Even though he gave them extra time they called us the next day to tell us what was wrong with it. They were extremely responsive and quick. It turns out the truck needs a new motor which is consistant with what we expected and so we opted not to have them do the work due to the cost, but through no fault of theirs. Thry even stayed after hours for us when we came to pick up the truck and gave my husband suggestions about the repairs. We have a new vehicle now and hope to not need the services of Dynamic Diesel for a very long time, but will not hesitate to go back or reccomend their services to others. read more

We do not live in Reno but heard an ad on the radio so we decided to make an appt for our 1996 Ford 350 due to how unhappy we were with 2 local places near us. They are amazing!!! They do the work they say they are going to do, they spot problems before they get out of hand. They found out that all the work we paid for from the other places were in fact not done or done badly with proof in hand. We did not have to wait a minimum 4-8 weeks to get our truck back it was done in a very timely fashion and done correctly. They followed up with us right away with findings, repairs through completion. They even called us after to make sure we are satisfied Well worth driving 75 miles to and 75 miles back!!!!! read more

This shop is a Joke. My fass and my vp-44 went bad on my 98.5 5.9. They told me it was just the fass and after they replaced the fass they called me a week later told me it needed a vp-44 and fuel lines. After spending 4k I get my truck back and it cranks for 5-7 seconds before it would start. THEN I noticed they kept the old fass wiring harness on and left the new one in the box. Took the truck back in and told them to put the new harness on and fix a few things they over looked. Fast forward a year I sold the truck to my buddy and he had to replace the fass harness AGAIN because it was butchered so bad. Now he calls me saying the FASS and vp-44 are both bad A YEAR AND A HALF 20K MILES AFTER ALL THE STUFF WAS PUT ON. Spend your money else where. This place is a scam read more

I needed to find a good, reliable and honest repair shop for my diesel truck. I've been to a few others in the Reno/Sparks area and didn't have good luck. After seeing TV advertisements for Dynamic Diesel, I thought I would give them a try. The customer service is better than I have ever experienced before. I felt very welcomed and was treated like a VIP from the moment I stepped in the door. The service department was also very personable and treated me like I have been a customer for a long time. I had an oil change and a couple of major items repaired. They were fair with time spent on the repairs and my truck was given back to me nice and clean. They even pressure washed my engine. Recently our truck decided to dump diesel at my place on employment. Dynamic Diesel returned my call even before they officially opened. I had the truck towed there and was told it would be a few days before they could get to it. However, they had a job go faster than expected and not only diagnosed but also repaired the truck the same day. They also informed me of a check engine light which we also had them repair. They did this with the same speed and expertise. Their level of work was amazing, however it was the follow up call I received about a week later. Had my F250 6.0 towed in after the engine quit. Was on a weekend so I never met anyone but next day got a call with a diagnosis, bad High Pressure Oil Pump, 2 injectors, and EGR cooler. Very good communication and very good work, the truck is running great now, was less $ than they first quoted, and they looked for ways to save $ consolidating labor costs. I'm in CA but I'll make the drive to Sparks just to use Dynamic Diesel every time! Fantastic communication all around. Highly recommended this shop. read more

These guys have been great to work with!! I like that they made several follow up calls to see how my 2006 Dodge was running after putting all new injectors in. I when I called not happy with how the truck was running 11 months later, they fit me right in and got the issue resolved. I was unfortunate to get a bad set of injectors. I recently had them replace front and rear main seals along with the pinion seal last month on my truck. Again I had great service from them. I liked that they even steam cleaned the bottom of my truck, it was caked in engine oil from the bad seals. I have recommended them to family and a couple of friends. My parents took their 1996 GMC Yukon in to get a bunch of brake work and seals on the axles replaced. Again I like the fact that they make a simple call to make sure things are running properly. read more

Needed oil change and fuel filter change for my F-250. Called and they said 2 weeks out so made an appt for 8am (when they open) on Mon 10/26. Got there at 7:59 and dropped off truck. Guy said it would take 2 hours. A little long for oil and fuel filter change but ok. So I walked to local restaurant and had breakfast. Waited til 10:30 came back and they hadn't even touched the truck. I left. Apparently your time isn't important to them. I don't know if they are good mechanics or not but their customer service gets an F. read more

I was coming home from a trip to death valley, and suddenly lost all boost pressure and my check engine light came on. After looking all over for a boost leak, I gave up and limped it to Dynamic Diesel. They found a couple boost leaks and fixed them all for me, in a timely manner. Price was fair. Avoid this business at all costs. Sloppy unprofessional work performed at this shop. I took my 6.0 to Dynamic Diesel for a job the Flat rate book quoted at 3.5 hours labor plus parts. I have been a professional heavy machinery mechanic for over five decades but I am too disabled to perform this service myself. Dynamic Diesel performed the work requested and padded their bill with non-requested work. What should have been around a five hundred dollar job suddenly turned into a 1700.00 dollar job. I paid my bill and picked up my truck on a Friday. They said they had tuned up my turbo charger but I could build no boost. Obviously a hose was compromised somewhere. I looked at my invoice and it stated that the truck was road tested. This had to be a lie because the truck barely got out of its own way, no way a road test was performed. Now I am wondering what else they lied about? I opened my hood and found that Dynamic Diesel had neglected to reinstall my engine wiring harness properly. I had to finish their work and attach my wiring harness myself to keep it from resting on my turbo as Dynamic Diesel had left the unfinished job. And I paid 1700.00 to work on my truck myself? I had to wait until the following Monday to schedule another appointment to fix their mistake. I wasn't able to get in immediately as you would expect when a shop makes a mistake, I had to wait a few days for them to look at the problem with a truck that now wasn't drivable. I wasn't charged for the second visit and they assured me that they had repaired the fault with the turbo. When I did receive the truck after the second unnecessary visit, my truck now will not start when it is hot. Before I took my truck to Dynamic Diesel, I had an extremely reliable vehicle. Now after Dynamic Diesel's "expert" repairs, I have a totally unreliable vehicle. On my third visit to have the starting problem addressed, which Dynamic Diesel caused, they found no problems and the owner told me " if your not happy, take your f...ing truck somewhere else"! I was treated like dirt by the owner when he should have been rolling out the red carpet for me on my third unnecessary visit. Three strikes and your out in my book. Now that's what I call professional customer service, especially since their incompetence caused all of the problems! I have filed a complaint with the Nevada Attorney General's office for their fraudulent activity and disputed their bill with my credit card company. read more

Mike, Dwayne, and Kevin are about as great a team as I've come across since owning my 6.0l diesel truck since 2005. Mike is a great tech, incredibly thorough, friendly, and takes the time with each customer to explain anything that customer has questions about. He addressed every question I had with patience and detail. Kevin, the owner, had no contact with me prior to my first visit after I had sent them a 'schedule an appt" email with my issues yet he knew my name and what my issue was when I first came into the office. He shook my hand and knew my name and the issue I was having with my truck. Then Dwayne comes in, easy to talk to and very helpful. Reno/sparks is lucky to have such a great diesel shop in the area. On my first visit I came in for some squeeking around the serp belt area. Mike was incredibly thorough and wrote up everything that my truck actually needed. He found things I didn't even know were going on and others that I did know were going on but I didn't tell them and I didn't want to get them fixed at that time. Dwayne showed me a bill to fix everything, I could have been offended but was instead impressed with the level of detail they took on servicing my truck. I told Dwayne I only wanted the serp belt parts and labor and I would come in again in the future for the other stuff. He wrote it up again and I ended up with a fair bill and couldn't have been happier with the way Mike and Dwayne worked with me to get my truck fixed within my budget. If I had an injector give out or a cylinder contribution code I wouldn't hesitate to bring my out of warranty diesel truck to these guys. I know they will get it right the first time. I can not truthfully extend a rating as I am so disappointed with them. I had received, what I thought was excellent service but now I am questioning how good it really was. The straw that broke the camels back however came when they replaced my water pump and charged me $110.00 for 3.1 gallons of antifreeze. Their response was that they didn't have a way to save it to put back in. They probably have close to a million dollars in equipment in their shop but lack a $5.00 dish pan! Un-fricken believable. I was told good things about this shop, went to them for new ball joints and a minor oil leak. They came back with a quote just under 5,000 for several other things they said needed replaced. I had just bought the truck so said go for it, I wanted a dependable daily driver. When I went to pick it up a week later the head mechanic took my money and turned his back without even shaking my hand. They said when they had my truck apart they would steam clean it and then walk me through everything they did. Nothing of the sort was done and i wasnt more than 5 minutes down the road when I heard a loud whistle coming from under the hood. My hydro boost went out, probably from them driving my truck hard when it was there. I got a "wow your truck is fast" from 3 of the mechanics there. I ended up having to make 5 trips total and it still doesnt feel like the truck I brought in. It is still leaking oil and even after a completely new hydrobooster and powersteering pump it still makes noise. Horrible place i would never go back and would tell anyone I can to stay away!! Please do not give this shit show of a shop any of your business. read more
