Secondly, your store did not have his size however on-line they did, but Carlos had me purchase it through him, but I'm sure he wanted the credit for it. Your store only had the 2XL verse the 1XL. The XL was sold out both on-line and at your store. This is were the problem lies. Lastly, how is your suggestions on the Gold Series Continuous Comfort Suit Vest Item # 96763 and the Synrgy Vest Item # 97727 even close to the color of the other vest that I order? I have been to DXL with one of the pickiest shoppers to step through their doors three times in the last month. Kudos to the sales staff (Carlos) for their professional and patience as my husband ran them through the wringer as he bought himself a new mini wardrobe. The sales staff were patient and incredibly helpful through the entire process. He went in for a few shirts and left with so much more. He looks incredible in everything they assisted helping him find, including custom tailoring for multiple items. Sal, the tailor did a fantastic job and didn't flinch when my husband asked him to re-hem a couple of the pants after he wasn't happy with the first attempt. The most impressive thing I saw repeatedly displayed from the staff was the respect they show to all customers from teens to much older customers. They treated all sized (XL-5X)men coming through their doors with the same courtesy. Well done! read more

My husband has stage 4 cancer and has put on weight from the steroids. This shop has an excellent selection for him to purchase some shoes and clothes. Everyone was very nice and helpful but there are to many people working and they can overhear your conversations. However they just assimilated more employees. read more

I needed a suit for a company holiday party and was having trouble finding one that fit me correctly. I was becoming discouraged, but I decided to stop in here and I am so glad I did. Finally, I found a place I can find clothes with the extra length I need on the same day! I'm used to ordering online, waiting for the item and hoping it fits. The salespeople at this location made me feel comfortable and helped so much, and the tailor got my suit fitting perfect! Anna was my salesperson and was so very helpful and sweet. Carlos is the Man! My son is looking for a wedding suit, in a particular color/style in 46XL. Not an easy task...but Carlos was kind, considerate and helpful. My son did not feel rushed or pressured which made our family's first time DXL experience a positive one. Carlos' suggestions were spot on and appreciated. While we weren't shopping for my needs on this day, I will certainly make DXL my 1st stop in the future. Worst service ever, time is 5:54 pm October 17. I just went inside to buy 1 dress shirt. There was one other customer besides myself and no one was able to help me. The only reason I can to this store is because I have been to the one in West Covina and the service was so amazing, so I thought it would be amazing here as well, I was wrong. Just started going to this location. I originally went to Casual Male XL located in both Santa Ana & Orange. But as I heard they closed down, this is now the closest store that has clothing suited to my size. Its located in a very nice shopping area in Irvine. The staff is very helpful, on both my visits I was helped by a super nice woman named Michelle I believe (I'm so bad with names, if I got it wrong, my apologies!) I liked that I can just walk in and they ask me what I'm looking for in particular. I tell them and they lead me to the area of the store that has all the selections of what I'm looking for. If they don't have something in my size or particular color, they are more than happy to go and check in the stock room despite my mentioning that they don't have to and that I could just check their website. Very Helpful, Very Courteous. Will be sure to make more visits to this location in the near future! read more

Don't buy a coat here that needs tailoring. My husband has purchased many clothing items and more than 5 coats at DXL for more than 10 years. We went here to purchase a blue blazer. He had to come in three times for fittings and it still looked awful. The tailor and the sales clerk said the poor fitting was his fault - "too narrow shoulders, too big belly"Tailor also told him, "Well, if you want it to fit you should buy custom suit". If that's the case, why are you sellign suits, DXL? The suit was expensive, they did not disclose additional $52 in alteration charges until checkout, and insults. Plus the tailor is only there part time so customers must schedule their visits to his schedule. We will never return. read more

We purchase a lot of clothing from this company. Our average shopping trip is $300,00. Our last purchase was $290.00. At that time, we received a coupon for $25.00 off a purchase of $75.00. This equates to a discount of approximately 30%. Due to some unexpected family issues, we were unable to return to the store until the day after the coupon had expired. It was only one day, and it was only a 30% discount, but the store refused honor it. We were very good customers, but this has deterred us from shopping there. It's very unfortunate, because we were happy with the merchandise. read more

Ordered 2 custom tailored shirts in May 2015 and still haven't gotten them (September 2015). I should state that the original order did show up four weeks late but had to be returned because they were not tailored properly. It is now almost two months later and still no shirts. At first I questioned the support systems, now I question the systems and people in place at the retail level. It's never a good indicator when retail representatives start using excuses and / or place the blame for lack of follow through on those never seen. The excuses were numerous... vacation, manufacturing location (Canada), it takes longer sometime, etc. Customer service 101 dictates that you want to take care of the customer first and then all else will fall in-line. Customers don't care about excuses they only want results in a timely manner. Communication by store representatives was limited and usually initiated by a telephone call from me, the customer. Their concept of providing custom tailored clothes is commendable but their execution and delivery of the actual goods is severely flawed. I now believe it best to let professional tailors handle custom clothing and retailers such as DXL to handle standard rack goods. When using this store I suggest rack purchases only. read more
