I've had Dupure 3-Stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) drinking water filtration system and Dupure water softener installed in my house when I purchase the property. I have been running into so many problems with Dupure and their product ever since. I still gave them one star solely because their customer service line is still working, and I don't have to hear that annoying automated voice "your call is very important to us, please continue to hold..." The company does offer life warranty for their product. However, once the ownership changed, the warranty is voided. Once that happen, they will try to milk you dry as if you are their ATM machine. Below are the major issues I had with their product and service. 1. The Service Fee: First and foremost, Every time when I have an issue with the system, they will change $190 to send a technician no matter what problem that is, and no matter if the product is still under the lifetime warranty. As soon as the technician step into the door, the bill is at least $190. So please be aware of that. 2. The Products: Both of my water softener and Reverse Osmosis system are 5 years old. I have called Dupure many times for different issues. It feels like their products only last 4-5 years, by then it might be a good time to consider replacing the whole system. For instance, last month along, I called Dupure 5 times and had the technician came to my house 3 times for both RO system and the water softener as both of them had completely failed. Now my water softener quit working again considering the last repair was made merely couple of weeks ago! In addition, their system is made in the way you have to purchase the parts from the Company directly since no one else are selling their parts. Because of this, the price for their parts are way overly priced. Another tricky thing is, when the water softener system fails, it won't alert you. Who knows how long my tap water has been extra hard before I tested it last time. This could be a reason that my RO system had failed as well as it has been operating on hard water for long time. My suggestion is, if you have a water softener, buy the testing strips and constantly test your water quality. if there is a problem, fix it ASAP. 3. The price: I have to say the Dupure's product are very pricey. I will use my RO System as an example: they charge $100 for the Pre and Post filters which needs to be replaced every 6-12 months. The membrane filter alone is another $150 which lasts 2 years at the most. the tank is about $100. the manifold is even worse as they charge $349 for it. Plus don't forget the service fee for the technician to come...I am not sure if Dupure is aware there are better systems on the market with 5 Stage filtration which cost less than $200, plus all the replacing filters together only cost $78! In addition, Dupure's systems have the cheap and crappy look in which in no way matches their ridiculous price. 4. The service: The Water softner system requires annual service. Once the annual service is due, the LCD screen will turn red and you absolutely can't perform or bypass this by go through the settings. I have to call Dupure to send technician (Joshua) over to my house to do it. I observed the technician who did the annual service this year: basically, he looked at it, make sure there is no leak and then started to punch combination of keys on the panel. He won't tell you what combination of keys he used because "this need to be done by a professional". OK,I understand that, but he really didn't do anything except visually inspection and pressed whole bunch of keys really fast, then the red screen was gone. Ironically, I got the service report stated 20 points inspection was conducted with the technian's signature on it. Really? what 20 points? Very "Impressive" performance! On another occasion, I called Dupure due to failure of the system and the same technician came. At first, he claimed everything is normal even after I showed him the test strip and trying to leave. I insisted talking to his supervisor before he left and his supervisor confirmed that the system was not functioning appropriately after I explained the situation. At that time, he started to check on the system seriously. That was definitely an integrity issue. Plus he dressed like a homeless person which hurt my eyes because there was no way that I can link him to a trained professional who represents a company... 5. Technical support: I also had "hilarious experience" when I called their technical support department due to my water was extremely hard. No matter what I explain, the "expert" over the phone insisted that I used the wrong testing strips. She stated the only correct way to test the hardness is to use their company's testing kits. then I questioned her if she knows water hardness is tested based on the concentration of what ions? she had no clue...wow! **PLEASE DO NOT DELETE MY REVIEW AGAIN PEOPLE NEED TO SEE THIS**** 3weeks later and still nothing I am a home owner who had duPure install a water softener in a brand new home built from the ground up in 2014. I received the system back in 2015. Finally started having issues with the system last week. All along I was thinking it was a city issue, the city finally came out on 3/21/17 and informed me that a plummer was needed. Plummer came out on 3/22/17 dug 2 different holes and replaced water valve. Thinking that was the issue when all along it wasn't. Keep in mind I paid OUT OF POCKET $375 thinking it was a pluming issue when it wasn't. I finally called DuPure on 3/22/17 making them aware of the issue I was having. They sent someone out on 3/29 he couldn't fix the issue. Remind you all I missed work to be here once they got here to make sure the problem could be fixed. Well that didn't happen he didn' know what to do, so they sent Joe rude A$$ the next day to fix the issue and he couldn't so he came back again the day after and finally somewhat fixed it. Keep in mind they came out 3 times put my children, disabled mom and puppy in a room for 2 days but made me pay for the room the first night and stated they would reimburse me. I now have 4 holes in my walls from them cleaning the pipes inside the walls. All of a sudden my water isn't getting as hot as it was once before and now my Ice maker on my refrigerator isn't working. I was basically told by Joe that it seems like my ice maker hasn't been working for some time now! (rudeness) Keep in mind I was without water for 4 days. Now I guess i'll be out of pocket on getting a BRAND NEW WATER MAKER since my water was running this way before the issue according to JOE. I will never recommend this company to anyone else. I informed the warranty dept. that I no longer want the system and now just waiting for them to come pick this mess up!!!! 5 days later we're still sitting in the house with holes in the house. Moved to the new KB home and they had a Dupure water system that needed to be activated, My wife called and Dupure tech came out(Mike) and explained the benefit of water softener/treatment system and we signed up. The night before installation a different company(GE system) came and did their pitch, this time with a presentation of the water test and immediately impressed and also convinced us to switch and had installed the next day (that was fast! I thought, before i could even do some research) Upon research i couldn't bring myself to pay for a water system that wasn't worth the price so i had it canceled. Johnny Broom(dupure) was very helpful with providing and confirming the research i had without bad mouthing or deterring from other companies. I research Rain-soft,Pelican, Fleck for days and right as I was giving up after days of research Johnny kept tabs heard my options and suggested some system. He made it personal and gave me a heck of deal on a system.It only made sense to go back with Dupure. Fast forward to installation Jarvis and Bobby come out,asked my preference of where to place the system.Installed it without sacrificing my garage space(check pics) and it was soo much presentable, explained everything. I havent gotten to used the soften water and I am already feeling good about myself and things. I read the reviews here about Kim's concern about customer service before locking on dupure and I hope that wont be an issue in the future.If so believe i will keep everyone informed. Long story short, so far i am impressed by Mike, Johnny, Jarvis and Bobby and Most importantly Dupure.I will refer them all day everyday. read more

I had a new Dupure EVRCS reverse osmosis system installed. This included a filtration system, water softener and a drinking water spigot. I had this installed inside my house. I didn't want it to be exposed to the weather. I went with Dupure because I was looking for a high quality system that required the least amount of maintenance. This system only requires that I add salt about once every 3 months. No filters to change and no back-flushing required by me. Back-flushing is automatically performed by the system. The installation went as smooth as could be. What can I say. The two gentlemen (shout-out to Napolean and Martin) knew what they were doing and got down to doing it. They cleaned as they went and wiped up before they left. The area was spotless after they left. Just a couple of side notes. This system requires a 110v plug. I had one on the wall before they started. Obviously, you want this system to filter all the water going into the house. I had it installed right at the house water shut-off valve. Again, conveniently located. Finally, they will need to provide a drain to the outside if you're considering having it installed in your house. This meant they had to drill through the wall. None of this was problematic for me... may be a consideration for you. In the end, I feel I got a great system at a reasonable price... $4,500. Tony Sugar Land, Tx read more

I normally never write reviews for anything, but I am so pleased with Dupure, that I had to get on here and give them a quick shout out. We have enjoyed our Dupure Drinking Water Systems for the past six years in both our current home that we moved into in 2011 and in our previous home before that. We used to spend a ton of money on bottled water, but then we got our Dupure system. I cannot tell you how much that you can really taste the difference. Water is water, right? Not really. I actually drink much more water, and I enjoy drinking it because of the great taste from my Dupure filter. The other great thing about the system is that in six years, it has never broken or had any issues in either of our homes. And we have always had great customer service with the company when they came out to install our system and when ordering new filters. If I had anything negative to say, I guess that Dupure might not be the cheapest water filtration system available. But you really do get what you pay for with Dupure, and I feel like it is a great value for the price that you pay because of the quality of the product that you are getting. In summary, I highly recommend the Dupure Drinking Water System, and based on my experience, I bet their other products are great as well. When my husband and I build our dream home in a few years, I am getting the Whole Home System for sure. read more

**Professional, Skilled Installers & Manager who Does the Right Thing** I have high praise for Shamar and Greg, Dupure installation technicians who did a great job with the installation of a new drain line for my home water softener. They were very professional and very careful with my existing landscaping they had to tunnel through (about 150 feet, half of which was 4" thick gravel, some flagstone and edging). They were very efficient with their time, and I was amazed at how good it looked when they were done; I couldn't even tell anything had been done. They tested the drainage with me before they left and it all worked well. A special thanks to Henry, Dupure service technician who notified the main office of the (previously) incorrectly installed drain line during his routine maintenance service. My appreciation to Ken, Dupure installation manager who demonstrated integrity and professionalism start to finish, and did the right thing by correcting a mistake that was made by a former employee. Not only that, his office took the initiative by contacting me to schedule the corrective actions once they were made aware by the service technician; I never had to follow up with them at all to get the ball rolling. Okay, so here's what happened... My wife and I bought a new house last year in Cypress from DB Horton Builders, and as part of the upgrades we got a water softener system from this company. The cost of it was high, but I grew up with soft water and I love it, so I went with this one. Fast forward a year later, and we get a call from the customer service department saying that we were due for a filter change. I completely forgot that there even WAS a filter in the thing! The price seemed high, and I declined, but when the rep (I'm sorry, I can't for the life of me remember the guy's name...) asked if I change the air filter out in my car and in my air conditioning, I answered "of course". Then he says, it's the same concept - I don't HAVE to change the filter out, but then I'm drinking "dirty filter water" like I would be breathing "nasty filter air". Made sense. So I spent the money. I guess I just figure that a softener is kind of a luxury item, and nothing luxury is cheap :( I say all that to say, I like the soft water,and while the cost is higher than others (I guess), I don't worry about it. I have to tell you my experience with Dupure was fantastic . They came out and installed my free water filter that came with my DR Horton home . and tested my water which came out very high in chlorine and very hard water . They offered me a solution to my problem water and I bought the whole Home system which came with a Reverse Osmosis system as a bonus . The water Tech Mike was very pleasant to work with . He gave me an awesome deal as I have priced the competitors around town . The Service installers were awesome very professional and knew what they were doing .I did have a small issue after install and called Mike he promptly came by and sent an email to the warranty dept and I received a call in 30 minutes later. The service team were out the next day and corrected my issue . No Charge . I love my water now it is wonderful having Spa quality water in my House . The Showers are amazing and my excema seems to be clearing up no more ashy skin and no more soap scum on my glass shower doors . Had my DUPURE machine for 3 years, never had an issue until a called for my 1st maintenance. Appt call was supposed to be 8-10 tech guy showed up pass 5 pm no call or msg up until pass 5 pm. Had to off the machine since it slowed down my water pressure at the house. Tech guy showed up and say i have to resin rebedded the machine which will cause up to $500+ i got charged for the tech guy showing late and did not do any work on the machine. Please see all photos. Remember my machine is 3 years old and this is my first maintenance call. Spent so much on this machine and now its trash. The amout of charges to go to your house to fix it almost cause a new machine. This is DUPURE Asked how much they charged for a call. Asked how much they charge to work on the machine. Will i recommend this type of water softener machine..mostly likely NOT. There charges for service is outrageous, see photos. Have been very busy after moving to the new house. Dupure was the first replied to my question-Jessica called me immediately and Johnny the sales manager did came by the same day (Feb 19) I got their quotation. Surprisingly his home is not far from our residence. We made a deal very late overnight and he did a fantastic job. Sent me the installtion team's name and ETA early in the next morning. Yet the installation guys were super friendly and impressive. John and Napoleon did a great job in just a few hours. The equiment and pipeline were set up in a very nice manner. Even Johnny had them agreed in fixing my faucet extension outside the garage. (later we found it was not necessary). Already recommended Dupure to a friend who about to move to his new house. My choice is a latest model of EVRCS - maybe 10 years without maintenance. Hope it is as reliable as Dupure team. Very pleasant experience. read more

I got this system installed on Saturday and in such a short term, I have noticed such an amazing difference in the texture of my skin given that I am acne prone and my skin is very sensitive ...I initially developed a dry rash on my face when I first moved in a month ago..and I have noticed that has dramatically decreased since over the weekend..Ev was very knowledgeable, professional, and personable ..he even provided suggestions on basic household maintenance and as a new home buyer, that information was invaluable ..Dupure and my rep, Ev, has literally shown me a new way of living and feeling fresh Definitely a great product especially when you have a great rep explaining the details of a foreign object that you are investing in ! When we bought our DR Horton home it came with a Water filtration product from Dupure. When the sales person came to our home to explain the product, he also completed a water test and showed us the chlorine levels and hardness in our water. He explained that this was why our skin was dry and our clothes were fading. He also informed us that the hardness in the water was what was causing the extreme build up on our shower doors. After he showed us our options to remove the scale build up and the chlorine in our home, we decided to purchase an Evolve Water Conditioner and a reverse osmosis system from them. While it was a little on the pricey side, It has helped tremndously with our skin. Our shower doors don't have any white calcium spots and our clothes are so much softer. read more
