I've been going here fairly consistently for about two years for just my eyebrows and I'm always in and out of there in under 10 minutes. They're busy at times you would expect: lunch hour and after work. I got there just after noon and there was no wait! I don't have anyone specific I would recommend but everyone who works there does a pretty good and fast job. You can either just say eyebrows" or specify how you want them done. For DC, $12 for eyebrows isn't bad at all, average or below average. For a quick beauty pick me up, Dupont Threading has never let me down! read more

It was a little tricky to find but once i did it was a speedy little dream. In and out in 10 minutes for a full Brazilian. I'm so, so disappointed. I had been a customer for a long time but the quality has gone downhill and service is so inconsistent that I won't be back anymore. Recently went to get brows and upper lip threaded...I told the lady I had sensitive skin and to be very careful. She rushed through and clearly was not trained enough because she ripped my skin and made me bleed in several places. Other places I've been to have threaded my face with no problems. It looked terrible, and it's stressful and upsetting because I had a special occasion to go to in three days. The owner made excuses and told me I should have requested her specifically, instead of apologizing. The worst part was that she had actually done my brows decently but then handed me off to this other inexperienced lady in the middle of my service. She gave me some aloe and told me it would look fine in half an hour... two days later it's not healed and looks awful, and my event is tomorrow. Don't switch technicians in the middle of service, and please train all your staff so the burden is not on customers to have to make special requests on which person to come see - good technicians do not break skin even when the person has sensitive skin. read more

I cannot say enough good things about DuPont threading! I used to live 5 minutes by walk and now I have moved further away but my relationship with this place has not changed. It is quick, affordable and top notch quality. If you are in two minds about here and any other place in DC, this is the place. The staff here treats you like family, always trying to accommodate you and delivering their best. I have to say, I'm mad at myself for not listening to the reviews. The eyebrow threading at this place is terrible. I usually make the trip to silver spring (classic eyebrows), and now I know not to venture out to other places. Here's what's wrong with DuPont threading: 1. When you first enter, there's a strong food smell. And the ladies don't really greet you. 2. After they're done threading, they don't wipe the left over hair off of your face. They just hold a mirror up to your face, and say "ok?" 3. They don't do a good job! If I'm paying $13+tip, I better not see little hairs hanging around. Pay attention, and thread the eyebrows well please. I had to ask the lady several times to go back and thread the hairs that she had missed. And she made it feel like it was an inconvenience to her. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but since I've had much better service at other eyebrow threading establishments, I think it's important to warn other. Just make the trip to silver spring, and their service is only $10. read more

Quick, efficient and cheap. This place is hidden back in between some brick homes/establishments. It's pretty small and there were 2 women working when I went in. I was very confused when I first walked in because I was not greeted or given direction of where/what to do. One of the women working just came up to me and told me to sit in the chair because I was next. I got my brows done, and i'm very particular about them as I usually only go to the benefit brow bar to get them done - but since moving to DC i've learned it's not here so I had to venture out. The lady threaded my brows for 5-10 minutes and she was done and they looked great! I was very impressed - and for $13 I can't really complain. I would definitely come back again! read more

I saw natasha today for a brazilian sugaring appointment and it was solid! she is super super sweet and took care of me almost immediately. the wax itself was typical pain-wise, but she worked super quickly, which made it go by much faster - always a good thing when it comes to hair removal! price is totally reasonable for the area. I went today and the location was easy to find. The service was quick and I'm pleased with my right eyebrow, but the lady completely removed a chunk of my left eyebrow in a very noticeable spot. She didn't apologize or say anything about the missing chunk, even when i mentioned that I'll have to fill in this spot every day. The process was SO fast that i feel this may have been prevented if they slowed down a bit. Id have preferred to keep this chunk of my eyebrow by spending an extra minute or two in the chair. I can't decide if I'll go back because I definitely don't want this happen again, but my right eyebrow does look great. Not sure if it's worth the risk, though. read more

AVOID this place for a lash lift at all costs! I went for a lash lift (first time ever) and ended up spending the weekend between Urgent Care and ER. Right after the procedure was done and I opened my eyes, I felt something was wrong with my right eye, I pointed this to Nitasha, and she just treated it as if I were overreacting - I assumed the pain and sting would go away. BUT IT DIDN'T! I went to ER and they found leftover glue or wax in my eye, which caused me a CORNEAL ABRASION. I called the salon to them know they should be more careful, but the woman was being rude. Finally, she agreed to give me my money back but in all honestly, I NEVER want to have to deal with these people again so not going to step a foot in that salon after that traumatizing experience. read more
