Went in during my lunch break to get my eyebrows done (threading). I felt very rushed by the woman who took care of me as if she were in a huge hurry even though the place was empty except for me. That being said, I asked her to please keep the thickness and just clean them up and she delivered. Eyebrows looked great. I wish the she would had been a little more gracious and accommodating (didn't even get her name) but customer service is really not a pressing issue for me in the beauty service industry so I would definitely go back. Just moved and was worried about finding a new threading place, but decided to give Dupont Threading a shot after reading so many positive reviews. This place is amazing! I called and made an appointment; the woman I spoke to on the phone was kind and friendly. I showed up about 10 min early and was still seen right away. COVID precautions are on point - she took my temperature, washed her hands, and sanitized the area. She made sure she knew exactly how I wanted my brows, and even working with my vague "thick, but better looking" response, she threaded them into the perfect shape for my face. With other threading places, my skin would be red after, but no irritation here! Prices are fair. I will definitely be back! read more

I've been going to the Dupont location since 2018 when I started undergrad and I can't imagine going anywhere else! Eyebrow threading has remained reasonably priced for the past 5 years and Natasha's threading is magically painless. Additionally, take Natasha's suggestion with the chocolate waxing - easily the least painful and most efficient Brazilian wax I've ever had. It's SO worth the extra $10 to get the chocolate wax! I would avoid going on Thursday and Friday evenings because there's more of a crowd; if you can find time on a lunch break on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday, you'll likely be in and out (depending on the service you're getting). Additionally, if you're booking a wax, make sure to call in advance. Bring cash if you can, but they also take Venmo and card. read more

They listen intently and get the eyebrow shape right. Although I have mostly gotten my eyebrows threaded, I believe they offer many more types of facial hair removal services like upper lip, and chin. This time, I also got my full legs waxed and had a great experience- it was quick, painless, and affordable (compared to other places in DC). I have been going to Dupont Threading for almost a year now, and have almost always had good results, with the occasional "meh" experience. But today was absolutely terrible: I asked for a brow "clean up" and the woman who did my brows took much longer than normal and the process was more painful than normal, but I didn't think much of it. Then when I looked in the mirror I realized that she literally took off a large chunk of the front of one my eyebrows, and both brows were left patchy and uneven. When I told her I was unhappy, she tried to blame my "thin hairs" for the issue, which is ridiculous because I've been getting my brows threaded for years with no issues. The bad customer service just added insult to injury. I know brows grow back, but I'm pretty mad that I paid money for such terrible results! I had an eyebrow appointment September 15 at 6pm and she rushed right through it as she had other people waiting. She showed me the mirror quickly and then did other clients. I went home that night and noticed that there was a lot of hair that was never cleaned up. I called Natasha today and she was extremely rude saying that she showed me the mirror and that it was my responsibility to look at it better. Idk about you but In the moment you're like oh okay looks good but then go home and really look into the mirror and see a few imperfections. My friend got her eyebrows done here and I couldn't stop staring at them. They looked BEAUTIFUL. Better than they've ever looked. So I had to try for myself and I lived up to the hype!! Very quick and relatively painless. My brows are shaped and not a stray hair out of place. I decided to try more services so I booked a hydro-facial and a traditional hair oil with steam. Booking was easy enough. I told them I wanted these services and they fit me in a couple days later. The owner even texted me to offer better times that fit wit my schedule. The hair oil was fantastic! I almost want to gatekeep this because it was such a deal at $40. I haven't had a nice oil like this outside of India! The facial was very good too, the owner Natasha did it. She got all my whiteheads and blackheads and targeted wrinkles. She gave me some suggestions about keeping hydrated so my skin stays healthy. I asked for a clean up and she made my eyebrows considerably thinner, with no shape, and not identical on both sides. It's annoying to have been a patron for so many years and leave it up to chance depending on who you get. And then staff try to reassure you that it looks OK when it's obvious that it doesn't.
