I don't write reviews easily, but Sarah's customer service truly deserves a 5-star review. Being an educator, I really don't have much knowledge of paint. I basically brought an old lumber with me and asked Sarah to match the color for me. Sarah assured me that she could match the color for me and offered me to go back in 30 minutes so that I did not have to wait. She wrote Sarah or Lisa on my receipt and told me to ask for either one of them. When I returned, Lisa was there. Without much explanation, Lisa knew exactly what I needed and was able to help me very quickly. A few days later, I needed to buy more of the same paint. In order to save time, I called the store. Sarah happened to answer the phone. I gave her the information from my receipt. Sarah actually remember me and told me that I could pick it up in 15 minutes. I showed up 30 minutes later, Kevin was there instead of Sarah. While I was blaming myself for not being there in 15 minutes, Kevin was able to find my information on the computer. He went to the back and brought my paint to me without any problem. To my surprise, Sarah already wrote my name on the can of my paint. Their effective communication truly impresses me! I saved my receipt so that I would be able to give the sales guy major props for being super cool and helpful. Well, I also lost my receipt. But thank you to the cool sales guy that helped me! I needed to paint my double front doors of my house. I knew what color I wanted but that was about it. The sales guy helped me decide what was the best type, sheen, and quality of paint. He even was able to apply a discount (maybe it was on sale) to the "better" paint so that it was about the same price as the "lesser" paint. I didn't even have to ask, he just recommended. It was a smidge more than the other and wanted to make sure I was okay with that. Heck yes! The paint went on smoothly and is wonderful quality. I'm super happy! Customer service is fantastic. Even the guy who brought out my mixed paint had a smile on his face. Everyone seemed very pleasant and helpful. Inside the store, there is a nice area with tables and chairs so you can relax while waiting for your paint, or if you need to browse through colors or whatever. Nice touch. Since quarantine is in full effect, I find myself staring at the walls of my house more often these days, and I noticed, there's some spots that could use a touch up! I really limit leaving my house right now so I called them ahead of time, and with no problem, they took my order, allowed me to pay over the phone (with proof once I got there) and insured a "no contact" sale was waiting. So when I got there, I just had to show them my card and ID and I was on my way. It was so smooth and easy! The Buena Park location that is literally 4 minutes from my house, has NEVER given this kind of service. I'll drive the extra few minutes to go to this location again in the future :) read more

I went to Dunn Edwards to get some ideas because I was interested in getting the outside of my house painted. I didn't even know they offered this service, but I was greeted by Clint Roy, who does in-store color consulting. I talked to him about ideas I had and he told me to send him a photo of my house and he could put some templates together on the computer. I was blown away by his service and how he was able to get me some amazing mockups within a matter of days. My house ended up looking exactly like one of Clint's mocks ups! The previous owners of my house left all the paint cans behind used to paint my house inside and out. 100% of it was Dunn-Edwards brand. I just take a photo of the paint type and color code and they make me a new batch in about 10 minutes. Staff has always been very helpful with advice and answers any questions I have. Hubby and I are definitely considering buying some paint for the home. This was the first Dunn Edwards we went into together, and, as we don't know too much about paint, it was a little intimidating going in. However, we were immediately greeted by a friendly employee. She asked if we needed any help, where we really had two main questions: hiring contractors and colors. She walked over and showed the corkboard of potential contractors (left side wall when you walk in). They aren't controlled by Dunn Edwards, but they are licensed. Colors were on the right wall when you clock in. Took home some brochures to glance through, but their website has been helpful in getting more color ideas. Poor service. As a contractor I really appreciate businesses service because we usually order huge orders. I can understand that our orders take longer than most. What I am upset about is when the employees forget my order and have me sitting there for an hour waiting. I shouldn't have to remind anyone of my order but I had to get up and ask because it was getting ridiculous at that point. Then, to make matters worse, one of the female Caucasian workers says sorry but that wasn't my order. So this means that this Dunn Edwards employees only help "there" orders and disregard all other orders?? That's just very poor customer service... She matched a color for me with very few details to go on, helped me choose the right supplies, and even gave me an impromptu tutorial that was 10 times better than anything I found on YouTube.
