We have now used Ace Painting for two separate home painting jobs. After doing a wonderful job on our exterior of our home, we used Ace Painting again to do our entire interior as well. As new homeowners, Sam and Justin really guided us through each step of the process and made us feel comfortable as we laughed through a lot of it. In addition to the impeccable paint work, their team also fixed so many cracks and plaster damage from the previous homeowner. While Justin did not give me the lowest quote (quality work is going to cost a little bit more), I have to agree with other reviewers and say he was certainly the most professional and upfront of those I met with. The staff was amazing and communicative during the whole process, making sure to get my sign off on any changes or additions. We had Ace paint all our outside trim/fascia/siding as well as repair some wood damage and replace a large section of siding. Everything was taped off and the workers even made sure to protect plants near the house. Ace Painting was the first company I called to schedule an estimate for painting our home exterior stucco, trim and wood repair. Justin scheduled and confirmed our appointment and came out and gave my husband and me a detailed estimate with pricing (which I must add was very reasonable too) along with a 5% veteran's discount. In hindsight, I wish I had just stopped there and hired them, but my husband said "let's just get a few more estimates." I got around 5 estimates from other companies and most of them, if not all, were very disappointing. Some just sent an estimate with pricing, based on our home address, without an on-site visit or phone call. One company never provided me with their California contractor's license number upon my request (red flag right there). Others just provided a boiler plate estimate with very little detail. At this point, I realized I had put myself through unnecessary aggravation and called Ace Painting to give them the job. From the start, Ace Painting's customer service shined through. Their communication was always top notch. Everytime I called with my endless questions, Sam from their office always picked up the phone and promptly and courteously answered any questions I had. Now its time to brag about their crew. Enrique and Benjamin went above and beyond in my homes prep, painting and clean up. They showed up every morning on time, explained what they would be doing that day and cleaned up everything at the end of the day. Of all the painting estimates I've had from other companies, I have never had an estimator as knowledgeable, professional, personable and honest as Justin, never. He really eased all of the tension in me with his calm demeanor and knowledge without trying to upsell me on anything. I definitely want them to do my house, just hoping that I can afford them due to my limited budget, waiting on the estimate and praying that I can have my wish! And to the gentleman Fred D, your assumption caused you to feel the way you do and that's on you. I suggest that you ask more specific questions if you're expecting perfection, but I don't think you or anyone else needs to bash people publicly. Please try to focus on the fact that there are two sides to every coin and treat people the way you expect to be treated and if something or someone doesn't suit you, find someone else, simple, right? I'm going to preface my experience by saying when it comes to working with ANY home Reno/repair contractors I would rather go to the dentist followed by a GYNO exam. My personal experience BEFORE ACE painting has consistently been a nightmare - never showing up on time, never done when they said they'd be done, and doubling the costs before anything was ever completed. To say ACE painting was a breath of Fresh Air would be an understatement. Our first introduction was with Justin who came to give us an estimate. He knew what he was doing, could point out issues that we would need to make decisions about and pointed out all the water/wood damage that he said would have to be looked at and may change the estimate. We chose ACE because of Justin's impressive visit and that they could fix the wood problems for us unlike some other painters that said we would have to hire another contractor to do that work. We wanted one company to do it all. And they did. Our Project Manager was Andy and he is a very nice guy who had to put up with my contractor's PTSD Anxiety for the last 9 days. He walked around the house (we had 2 interior rooms and the entire exterior painted) and just verified what we wanted done. And then we had the actual painters here who arrived on time every day and absolutely knew what they were doing. The lead painter was Carlos who has been with this company for over a decade and a painter for 25 years. He knew what he was doing and managed his team so professionally. They all worked so hard! The prep work before they painted was stellar, unlike any I have seen when neighbor's homes were getting painted. Andy came a few times during the job to make sure that we were satisfied with the progress. Today, (on the day they told us they would be done by 4pm.) Andy arrived several hours earlier to walk through to see what touch ups needed to be done. They did the very few touch ups and even helped us with a problem with our door that had nothing to do with the painting. And the bill was the exact amount Andy estimated after adding the wood work to the initial estimate.We also appreciated that this is a completely above board company with workers insured and company bonded.
