This is what their premium priced job looks like in 2025...air bubbles and chipping stucco on few walls. Tried to contact Alex Garvall and found that he's now operating under a different business name -- probably because of these problematic works & warranty implications. Note: Lived in this stacco walled house over a few decades -- the two adjacent walls (most likely used the same stucco mixture) started bubbling/chipping for the first time in recent years. Wonderful experience working with OC Painting Company (now Rock & Rollers) on my exterior paint and stucco project. We contacted Rock & Roller Painting because of their excellent reviews we read online, and we weren't disappointed. We were impressed with Alex when he came out to give us a quote. He did a thorough inspection of our home and even asked if we'd like our shed beside our home painted to match the house. He explained that it would take 10-14 days to complete the job, with prep taking over half of the time. When his quote came in lower than we were expecting, we decided to give them the job. The painting team showed up bright and early on the first day and immediately began moving things away from our home and prepping. They were courteous and friendly throughout the whole job. I was so impressed with how quickly they worked and each day completed a large amount of work. One of the guys even came and worked a few hours on a Sunday! Picking out the colors was a fun challenge and I appreciate how helpful and patient they were with me. Alejandro, the Project Manager, brought samples of all of the colors I was considering and painted swatches on the house so I could see how they looked. That helped a lot! I'm very glad with Alex and his team. He painted exterior of the house. I think there are several reasons you shall hire Alex over other painters. I quoted 4 painters and went with Alex. 1. he is at the middle of the price range, but his attention to details supports his price tag very well. He was the only painter that noticed the mdf defects and wanted me to consider changing it completely. 2. his communication skills. he always picked up the phone and responded to my messages. may have a little lag, but he always did. 3. He offers 5 year of labor warranty. most other painters offer 2 or 3 years. 4. He actually offer higher grade of paints than his quote. I have a door that i painted and i told him to get benjamin moore regal. He gave me aura line. Which made the door look like a classic piece. He quoted dunn edwards spartafiled and evershield, but he actually gave me evershield on mdf too. 5. He is honest and reliable. you can trust what he says and he doesn't bluff. 6. He is respectful to female clients like me and doesn't make me feel flirted or contempt. It's actually not easy to find a contractor that you can get job done easily 7. He has a nice team. his team shows up every day 7:30 am and never slacked a single day. 8. He touches up at the wrap up stage really well. His team actually touches up the entire house here and there and very detail oriented. 9. He also offers great discount when i want to do 2nd coat. 10. he also do prehung doors, and his quote was very reasonable for the door job. There are 2 very minor thing i'd want Alex to improve. 1. his team shall put the lights, hardwares to a box that can get shade and coverage. they just put them to the nearest location of the hardwares and they went all wet in the rain. i think they should have easily collected the. and hide them. 2. I really think Alex shall automatically quote clients with a benjamin moore and sherwin-williams option, with a higher price tag. all folks be aware, even though dunn edwards does great paint, but it's brand lacks visualization marketing. It increased the pain of struggling with paint colors since you can't figure out how it looks like on real houses. I'd say go with benjamine moore or sherwin , and you will learn from pictures online. read more

Awesome experience! Quality work, great people. We have a wood exterior home that was long overdue for a fresh coat of new paint. The overall condition of our exterior was bad, including wood damage, paint peeling/chipping away, and badly faded. I did my research, identified six (6) paint contractors with high customer ratings for Yelp & Google. Each contractor came to inspect the home and submitted a quote. A friendly suggestion when going through this process - READ each quote carefully. Details matter, for example: "spot sand & prime as needed" vs. "sand & prime the entire exterior surface". In addition, make sure the brand and type of paint is quoted, most quotes said they would use Dunn Edwards, but different quality paints (standard vs. premium). Rock and Rollers quote was the most competitive for pricing, as well as a comprehensive description of the process/service. Their quote offered a complete detail description of the process (sanding, power washing, patching, primer), using premium exterior paint. The crew that worked on our home was very professional, extremely efficient, and did a high-quality home. They spent alot of time prepping the home, ensuring the entire exterior was sanded, patched & repaired the damage wood, prime, and the paint job was high-quality and very clean. These guys are top notch! Don't bother looking anywhere else. I chose them over another company that had a lower bid because of all the good reviews I saw. They sent a team of 4 working on my property for 10 days and blew me away with professionalism and attention to details. I was expecting them to finish in about a week, but was very appreciative that they went above and beyond. They did everything by the book and did not cut any corners. The other company was only gonna be there for 3-4 days. They're also one of the few companies that not just paint but also replace/fix rotted sidings. That was a huge selling point for me since the house was not in great shape. They also let me change my initial choice of color since it came out too strong (basically painted a portion of the house and asked me if I am fine with the color) They also replaced/mended broken tiles on the roof that were damaged at the end of the project. I just had the exterior of my house painted by Orange County Painting. I am extremely please with their work. It started with Alex Garvall doing a job walk and explaining, in detail, what services his company does, does not do and how they go about it. Mostly, I wanted some stucco patch work done prior to painting the house. He assured me that it could be done and provided an estimate cost and start date. When the start date arrived, Oscar and his team started power washing the exterior of the house and then patching the stucco and woodwork. OC Painting recently completed exterior painting for my home as well as my next-door neighbor's. We both compared bids from several companies, found their pricing to be competitive for what they offered, and booked together. Alex gives you a comprehensive bid upfront, is easy to reach and very helpful. His service and responsiveness is at least 8 stars on its own. The crew they sent us took extra time to prep the entire house before it was painted. They sanded flaking wood parts, patched and repaired damaged stucco, pressure washed and primed the areas before painting. They also took extra care to really cover my surrounding surfaces and outdoor furniture. I was very pleased with the result and the way that Alex handled all of my questions and requests, and never seemed annoyed or hurried. During the final walkthough, he actually noted all the things I was going to mention on his own as well as found more areas he wanted touched up. OC Painting definitely seems committed to your complete satisfaction. It's been unusual, in my experience with painters, for the "main guy" to show up again to check the job's progress/completion, let alone more than once. Small things that I didn't even want to bring up because typically contractors are very annoyed by you complaining about a piece of tape left here or there, they noticed and took care of. I'm sure it's possible to find someone cheaper and quicker (the house behind me got painted in ONE day), but it will not be the quality of work and I doubt that you would get the kind of excellent service or warranty OC Painting provided. As a side note, for anyone else who might be a super paranoid paint-conspiracy-theorist, I was warned by some friends who do work on homes that some painters will switch out to a cheaper paint and/or use a bucket with the brand name on it, but a different paint inside. Our HOA mandates that you use a certain brand of paint, so, of course, I double checked. I tried to be stealth checking out the paint buckets, but they had them out in the open, complete with detailed paint name/brand stickers on each one. I also googled the paint line and they didn't use the cheapest line. So refreshing to work with a contractor where everything is on the up and up. Love the new paint, will recommend! read more
