These come from a food truck, in this case a Donut Truck, it is parked in front of Cabela's in East Hartford. They had a variety of very generous donuts lined up. The Boston Creme donut, was so pouffy and enlarged, from the very generous amount of the custard filling. There was a bacon donut, an apple cider donut, among others. I wish I could remember the exact name of the one I got, it might have been called Maple Pecan Chocolate. The food truck also sells popcorn and apple cider. My donut was $4. Since this is a food truck, and it was raining, I had no option but to take it to my car. This donut was jam packed with pecans, chocolate and maple frosting. It was so sticky, and messy but absolutely delicious! The donut it's self was super soft and fresh! These donuts need to be known about. I can't even imagine how tasty the other options are. I can't wait to return here very soon!

It isn't huge, but there are a few tables to sit with your coffee or donut, but I have only taken mine to go. Some of the coffee drinks on the menu have caught my eye, but I have yet to try one. They have a drive-thru as well! While not a favorite, don't really have any negatives either. It is a good donut option.

I bought a box of fifteen for $15. I had some time to kill before my appointment in Rocky Hill, so I also ordered a small coffee, lemon, and almond donut to enjoy on site. Now that's easier said than done because the store is small and only has a counter with two stools. Luckily, both were vacant so I settled in, drank their excellent freshly made coffee (small for $3.50) and savored my little donut treats. Indulge By Palazzo also specializes in coffees and protein shakes to help you wash down those donuts, and it looks like they are set up to sell ice cream in season. We ordered a 8 pack of mini donuts and 2 protein doughnuts. The mini doughnuts came in a myriad of flavor combos. Those flavors were pronounced, the base is a cake doughnut so it's spongy but light. It's a good cake doughnut, but I'm not really a fan of cake style doughnuts. For me, cake doughnuts need to be right out the oven to be good. These were made recently, but cooled significantly and not to my preference. The protein doughnuts were dipped fresh. They were not much different in terms of consistency but it's a much denser doughnut and a bit of chew because of the protein powder. It also has the aftertaste of sunflower shells that health products tend to have. Not unpleasant, but makes it taste like standard "healthy" products It's not bad, but it's also not great. For the price is right for the quality, and it's one of the few dessert options for the area. It's worth a try if you're around or if you really like cake doughnuts, but I wouldn't trek there.
