Stopped by this Dunkin' for an afternoon pick-me-up, and to taste test their new "Cake Batter" latte. I typically like to support local coffee shops, but a drive-thru is just so convenient when you're running errands. My latte was good -- but be warned if you're wanting to try this new flavor, it is pretty sweet. However - the customer service, or lack thereof, might deter me from stopping by this particular location again soon. The staff member taking orders spoke so quietly, it was difficult to hear what they asked. I believe they started out with "How can we help you?" which isn't totally off-base, but at least a short greeting wouldn't be too much to add. I waited in the drive-thru line for about 10 minutes -- there were three cars in front of me, so this seems pretty standard. When I pulled up to the window, the staff member didn't say a single word to me, and just handed me my drink and took my card. I thanked them and went on my way. Maybe that team member was just having a rough day ... or maybe we're all just spoiled by customer service at fast food locations like Chick-fil-A, but I don't think it would have been too difficult to throw in a little more kindness and/or communication. read more

Almost every review cited the hostility between the employees and rudeness in their interaction with customers. Well, it's all true, and it was non-stop. My wife and other relatives heard all of it. They yelled back and forth, slamming cups, boxes, doors, etc. After ordering, other customers would take several steps back to avoid any possibility of getting involved. Outstanding idea. All we wanted was our iced coffee and donut holes, not a grudge match. Look, I'm not sure if they constantly wake up in a bad mood or what, but I don't care. Suck it up, fake a smile, and wait for your battle royal once the lobby and drive-thru are empty. Of course, the endless arguing slowed the processing of orders; who knew? I tried to film the throwdown, but they quieted down once they saw my phone out. We went there last week for the Halloween bucket of donut holes. Got home and were disappointed to find that the donut holes were all stale and tasteless. We ended up throwing them away. I give everyone their chance. I try not to be rude. After all, people are basically working for one primary reason, MONEY. So today, I went to get a double scoop of pralines and cream in a cup for $5.37..... Instead, "Grandma...". Charged me $9 for the same two scoops that I have been buying for the past two years I have lived here in Kentucky. I took it back and asked "Grandma..." again. She insisted that was the price. I paid it and I left. I will not be going back. Too bad. I liked that place. I really did. But that lady looked me dead in my face and lied. I love ice cream. It gets my respect. So, there's a raging, intense debate over which is better, Dunkin' or Starbucks, right? Of course Starbucks' advocates are akin to a lot Apple fans, in that they won't even acknowledge there could be competition. However, at the end of the day, we're debating highly syruped (word check?) coffee and average breakfast sandwiches, right? For my money, Dunkin' is the better value. This particular location is almost always packed, and the drive thru navigation is definitely not the best, but they get you through very quickly, and I've never had any issues here. We love getting donuts through the drive thru! We've had no issues with time or our orders.

Visiting my family in Kentucky... I used to be a Dunkin' gal when I lived here, but I prefer stronger coffee these days. Still, this was the closest place to get a cup of coffee while everyone else slept in. Parking lot is a complete mess - as in, will damage your car mess. There is a sign saying something about "Parking lot will be fixed when the concrete company goes back to work..." I'm not sure what all THAT drama is about, but take extreme caution when pulling in. My large coffee wasn't really very large - I guess the cup sizes have shrunk considerably since I've last visited a Dunkin' - and it was also very very hot. Too hot to drink. Which was the biggest disappointment - I really need that morning coffee. And having to wait for it to cool down before I can drink it is always a fail. read more

We have been getting donuts here for many years now and the donuts are always delicious, the staff is friendly and the business is clean! We have a fun annual tradition of getting heart shaped donuts for breakfast on Valentine's Day! We started this family tradition when Adrianna and Vera were Mavericks age and the kids love it! Our family favorite donut is the heart shaped brownie batter filled with chocolate icing on top! We also enjoy the Boston cream with chocolate icing and their glazed donuts! For the first time ever our 4 brownie batter donuts were missing the filling! We called the store and they were very helpful and had 4 brownie batter donuts waiting for us in a bag to pickup! These donuts were loaded with brownie batter and were well worth the wait and return visit! The city of Florence really should help this business redevelop their entry and drive thru as it always backs up into the street so cars have to drive into the parking lot on the wrong side of the road to avoid waiting in the long drive thru line. read more

They always lie and say they made it correctly but if I order an iced latte with 6 pumps of vanilla bean syrup it should taste overly sweet. BLAH!!! I cannot give less than 1 Star or that's what the rating would be. Terrible customer service at the store level and at their corporate customer service level. Drinks were awful. Requested remake or refund and were told "NO". No resolution for 3 weeks now. This place is a complete joke. I generally visit a different Dunkin location but now after seeing how this company allows their franchisees to conduct business, I will take my three times a week iced coffee habit elsewhere. There are multiple Bigby and Starbucks locations near me. Customer service line should be renamed lack of service line. For weeks I was told someone will call, someone will call. I asked for the Supervisor of the customer service department and was told "we have to follow protocol". So the frustration ends here. It is obvious these people care nothing about their customers. Lack of Ambiance and general "get out of my face, I already have your money" attitude at the US 42 store in Florence, Kentucky and lack of customer service from all involved is more than enough to never visit another Dunkin or Baskin again. Went in this morning and the store was pretty busy. Everyone should understand that you might have to wait a little bit for your drink, but I waited atleast 10 minutes before getting my single drink just for it to be the wrong thing. They told me I had to pay an additional $5 for them to remake the drink because they put the drink in wrong. I pushed to get my drink made correctly, but I was told in an extremely harsh and rude manner multiple times by the same employee that it's my fault that the drink was made wrong when I, in fact, had a friend with me and we both heard me say something completely different. read more

The service at the Duncan Donuts is terrible but it's still Duncan's so if you can stomach the service you'll get the yummy coffee and bagel you need. Do not hold your breath for a thank you if your planning on staying alive! Last time I was there this was the dialogue in the drive thru- me "can I have a pumpkin latte please?" Woman working drive thru "pumpkin latte" long pause, "well come to the window" okay what the heck? If you know anything about customer service you can name just a few things she did wrong there. Her next mistake- when I got to the window she didn't even tell me my total, she just pointed at the little total display thing and extended her hand. Third and final mistake- she handed me my hot as hell coffee and after handing me that she handed me the ring to keep your hand from being burnt. What on earth... All I could do was laugh! Duncan donuts coffee is the only reason I can tolerate the terrible customer service here. Getting in to the lot to go through the drive-thru or to park can be an absolute nightmare, depending on the the time of day. The set up clearly does not support the volume they do here. Treated my kids this morning to 1 dozen donuts and mint hot chocolates. Service is fast, the store is clean, but the cashier/order taker is not exactly the friendliest. We stood back from the counter taking in the menu, allowing time for my 14 and 15 year olds to decide what all they wanted. While doing so we allowed each new customer to pass us and order at the counter ... so were very startled to hear "ARE YOU READY TO ORDER!?" barked at us from the counter. I politely said no, and the epic gravitas of the disgusted eye roll we received was felt even by the other patrons sitting down who looked between us and the counter as if in anticipation of an ultimate showdown. I was very irritated by the lack of customer service but smiled, stayed calm and carried on. I recommend this fine establishment for takeout or drive through, but unless they train up the client facing staff to have more service oriented etiquette, I would not hang out in the dining space or longer in the lobby for too long. We just moved here the the NKY area and we're excited to find this place. First time we went and it was already closed for the day. Second and third time they were out of a lot of stuff and were not planning on making more so we were disappointed. This afternoon we stopped in and again shelves were about half empty. I went ahead and purchased something and the guy behind the counter wanted me to buy more so that it could be "cheaper" but they already didn't have what I wanted! So then I start eating my doughnuts and both were old, hardened and not completely baked in the inside. I'm not sure how one location can consistently botch their coffee but this is the 2nd time that I took one sip then tossed it in the trash. Extremely rude. They messed up my order then basically told me I was wrong with what I ordered and instead of going back and forth I decided to take the wrong order. Then my sister orders plain black coffee and the lady argues with her bc she doesn't want sugar in her coffee.
