I have no idea why this Dunkin has such negative reviews. I've been going here consistently for the last few weeks & my order has been perfect every single time. I come here all the time and twice they've gotten my order wrong. The caramel macchiato is the worst. Do not try it this is just in general they shouldn't even have this on the menu(referring to someone's review). I ordered A LARGE ORIGINAL BLEND WITH CREAM AND SUGAR. How can you get this wrong. You'd think because it's a large they'd adjust the amounts to the oz well they didn't and my coffee tastes burnt and has no sugar. My sandwich, which I specifically said NO cheese, has cheese. Worst customer service ever today. I love Dunkin' Donuts iced coffee and donuts. My dad, my daughter and i went in today for some donuts and coffee. We waited and no one helped us in line so when we got to the register the lady had to grab our donuts, which she rolled her eyes at and instead of taking our whole order got them one at a time which annoyed her more and was like "is this your LAST item. Also we ordered the egg wraps for my daughter which she did not put in so my daughter didn't get her food. She didn't have a name tag on. But was so rude. New loacation in El Cajon. I had a district manager(Connie) explain very rudely that they no longer accept any AARP discounts. Not sure if Dunkin is still participating in AARP rewards program but I would encourage AARP members to go to your local donut shops instead of Dunkin. For crying out loud, Mickey Ds will serve you up a nice hot coffee for a buck. read more

This place is awful. The workers here are trained like timeshare sales people- pressuring hard for the add-on sale. I go in for a couple of donuts and I am asked," would you like a dozen"? I said, "no, I only need a few". Then, here comes the "closer" with her hard-sell; "How about a coffee"? "Sandwich"? "Would you like a soda or try our tea"? EASY lady... I told you I just want a few donuts. This place is FAILING miserably! The selection (if you want to call it that) is meager, seems like they want to be a sandwich shop, I don't get it. First of all the staff are just lovely so always give stars for them. My review is purely for the product. Tonight the hubs and I were looking forward to a couple of great donuts. My maple bar was old and a little hard. My white iced donut was ok but definitely not fresh. The hubs' sugar donuts were stale also. Been here 3 times since they've opened! 1st visit - the drive thru worker (male) told me they do not have iced lattes. ... i asked again when I drove up to pay and another worker (female) told me they do but I settled for regular iced coffee. 2nd visit - long wait in drive thru for no reason. I was told they no longer sell iced lattes as it was taken off the menu that day by the manager. So again... I settled for regular iced coffee and donut fries that were pretty good! 3rd visit - drive thru closed, workers inside are too lax.. - nobody paying attention to customers except the guy labeling the donuts, who failed to let anyone know there were customers waiting. -One worker busy wiping away not paying attention -another worker clearly eating while putting out orders on counter. - I was told they were out of donut fries - my glazed donuts only had a little glaze on them and not so fresh - regular iced coffee was HORRIBLE. I mean... watery with little cream and sugar, after I had requested it and the worker confirming milk and sugar smh I waited for this place to open and was excited as I do LOVE Dunkin Donuts... so disappointed!! read more

Should have read the reviews before coming to this Dunkin Donuts. Worst Dunkins by far. Selling what appear to be day old donuts as fresh is ridiculous. I guess when they said they were out of everything I was asking for and then magically found some of the items I should have known there would be a problem. Worst donut shop ive ever been to. They were out of all 3 different types of donuts so i got glazed. It tasted like great value white bread covered in plaster. Actually, that would probably taste better. The iced mocha tastes like they put nesquick in a cup full of raid. Finally, the place had 1 employee who messed up our order and took 20 minutes to get 3 donuts with an empty drive through. I have been waiting YEARS for this place to open in east county, and during a recent trip to Home Depot I was pleasantly surprised to see this new location. I've been about 6 times in the last week (lol) and every time I have had an amazing experience. The staff is super friendly, and my order is always on point. I usually order a vanilla chai hot but one day when I went they said they were out of 2% (what they usually make it with) and asked if I'd like them to make it with whole or almond milk instead. I opted for the almond milk and Oh. My. God. Sooooo good!! So much so in fact that it's now the way I order my vanilla chai each time I go. They're sausage egg and cheese croissant is delicious and so are the hash browns. I bought a Togo cup cause it was cute they over charged me $5 dollars because they stated "our scanners broke"... uh ok ok so I let that be... My marketing department orders food here all the time for our company meetings, so I figure I would try it. The customer service from this individual I dealt with is so atrocious. It started off when I walked through the door. They didn't have what I wanted (out of stock), I get it, no big deal; so I ordered something similar. While waiting for my drink I needed to use the restroom due to my hands getting something when I opened their door (something sticky on the door handle). He said the restroom was occupied and the key was checked out. No big deal, I waited, and waited more, and waited about 10 minutes. That's a long time when you have to get back to work for a meeting. Enough time went by that another employee asks "can I help you"? I said yes, I've been waiting for a restroom key for 10 min to wash my hands. He walks off and later returns with the key "sorry it was in the back". Seriously...not 1 competent employee knows where the bathroom key is..for 10 minutes?!? Once I Got in my car, I took a sip of the drink and it was not sweetened as I ordered, I threw it away and went back to work; Not worth my time or effort anymore. I'm going to have a conversation with our marketing department on who we use as our breakfast vendor. read more

Coffee and food is good as always, but the 5 stars goes to AJ for being incredibly sweet and patient with me as I dropped my whole entire drink in the drive thru as she was handing it to me. I had been having a rough morning leading up to that minute, and AJ didn't even blink, she got me a new coffee with a smile. Worst service ever! My mobile order wasn't ready even though there was ample time to prepare it. Part of it was there a d they didn't know what happened to the sandwiches. Other customer in there complaining as well because they were trying to fix his order for the 2nd time and it was still wrong. It was just one hot coffee and one iced coffee. They just smirk at you and say have a nice day. They are TERRIBLE there. This is not the only time it has been bad. However my kids like their egg sandwiches so I keep trying. Well, no more!!! Just all-around not too happy about service and or the donuts themselves. Pretty ridiculous whenever they throw two Donuts together in a small paper bag, one being a double chocolate and the other one being a Bavarian cream-filled without separating them and then when you get to open the bag the chocolates all over the inside of the bag and there's barely any on the donut so I had a Bavarian cream chocolate coated mess. Also overheard one of the girls behind the counter talking about one of the customers that was sitting in the dining area. Just seems like customer service these days...... no let me rephrase. Went to this location on the day it opened. Went to the drive thru and ordered without incident. 6 donuts (2 with sprinkles) and an ice coffee. They even asked me if I wanted cream and sugar in my coffee, to which I said yes. No issues I paying and picking up my order, but when I tasted the coffee it was watered down and had no sugar! I checked the donuts and they were cold and they hadn't given me any sprinkles that I asked for. I gave them the benefit of the doubt being the first day, but I went back a few days later and the experience was the same. Wrong donuts given and they were cold and even felt a little stale. Very disappointed and I won't be back. I'll make the trip to Krispy Kreme. read more

I lived in the east coast and DD was my favorite spot and when they made it here to SD, I was jumping for joy. We drove a good distance to buy some donuts at the El Cajon location off of fletcher Prkwy and man what a disappointment. I was angry and in pain because we have donuts once a month and save it to go to DD. donuts were dry and seemed they were sitting there all day. They didn't have much selections. Please close shop. Bad service. Bad product. Cold breakfast sandwich. Only plus is maple doughnuts. But they are very seldom.

If you had asked me a few months ago how I felt about this location, I would tell you it was amazing. Since the staff changes a few months back, the quality in the coffee, the customer service and their ability to actually make my drink properly have gone seriously downhill. The last 3 times I went through the drive thru, my drink order was wrong. I get the same thing every day...and the ladies that used to work the drive thru knew my voice enough that they would tell me my drink order without me even needing to say it. They seem to be all gone now, which is unfortunate, and the new guys at the drive thru are not only rude, they lack customer service skills and still don't know how to make a simple sugar-free vanilla latte with 4 Splenda. I used to go there religiously every day and now am on the hunt for a new coffee place since paying $4 a day to get a sub-par or wrong drink is ridiculous. Figure it out, management. read more
