Wood paneling, old hard chairs and a tiny dining room with a small counter with barstools. Met a coworker here for breakfast before work, and we had a nice breakfast. Did the classic two eggs over way, rye toast, bacon and home fries. All of it was perfectly done diner style. On the way out we threw in a couple half dozen donuts.. all of which were delicious yet light yeast donuts that tasted like they were made fresh daily. While we were eating breakfast there was a constant separate line out the door for the donut counter. I'd eat here more if I lived in the area. Nice job team Speedy! Business was steady while we were there. We bought an assortment. I had a Coconut Cruller. I'm a big fan of crullers, but I don't think I've seen a coconut one before. It had that classic twisty, glazed feel. And the shredded coconut provided a cool upgrade. Very good donut. Other people liked their donuts too. Would definitely return. 4.5 Stars

PROOF... of incompetence, racism or both…read more My wife is a regular customer and usually stops by for an espresso drink as we do not have machine at home. I typically get nothing as their drinks just don't hit the spot for me (average at best). Usually we park on the side of the street going straight into coffee shop and I wait in the car just in case it needs to be moved. She hops out, gets her drinks and the whole thing takes maybe 3-5 min. Today, I was chilling in the car waiting for her, but all over sudden realized that at least 5 people that placed the orders after her and were served before her (espresso drinks and all). Turns out that she ordered double espresso for her and half-caf/half-decaf for me. The staff couldn't execute the drinks or whatnot (they don't do decaf? don't know what double espresso is?) and just kept her waiting while servicing other customers. At some point I guess, they just stopped responding to her inquiries about the drinks. Finally a different person appeared on the shift, my wife got her money back, and we left. Why racist? Hm... Let me think, would the same thing happen to white American male? That is, waiting for 15 minutes for inept staff? The staff was probably new as my wife have not seen them before, but that is no excuse for the lack of basic decency.

I could write a long review about what's wrong with this coffee shop. But let's just say it was one of the worst coffees I've had in a long time. Once sip and straight into the garbage. What really rubs me the wrong way is that this place is full of antique espresso machines and coffee related gear. But the guy has absolutely no clue of how to make a coffee, and the beans tasted like they were from the bottom of the global coffee bin. The hopper on the grinder was also greasy and grimy. Do better. Quick footnote - in his reply the owner defends his business and says that in 12 years he's never had a complaint. Sometimes people are blind to their own successes, or their own failings. A business that barely managing 3 1/2 stars on Yelp, and has other complaints, several aimed specifically at the guy behind the counter... Well it does seem like he has dissatisfied customers. Most simply never return rather than "say something". Consider this the favour of my saying something.

I ordered an iced decaf americano and an almond croissant and they were both pretty good! However, it was quite chaotic in there, the music was really loud and was club-like music.
