What? A Dunkin Donut with only a 2 star rating? I wouldn't think that possible until my latest and last visit. Saturday night at around 7:30. Thought I would treat my Grand Daughter to a donut of her choice so we went through the drive thru. A car sitting ahead of us at the speaker for 5 minutes, no noise from the speaker. I called the store and asked if their drive thru was open. Oops, it was. Order was taken and I moved up. Ordered two donuts. Simple. Drove forward and waited 5 minutes again for the car ahead of us to get its order, turned out to be a cup of coffee. Wow. Finally made it to the window and people inside acted confused. Was asked if they could help me. Oh, that's right, I ordered 2 donuts. I asked if they were busy and heard oh, we're understaffed tonite and got busy. No apology. I told him it was sad that I had to call them from the drive thru to get someone to wait on 2 cars. No apology. I know, I'm asking a lot for a Dunkin Donuts, or any other fast food place. I made sure to go at least 5 times to make sure this review is truthful of the service here. Every time this dunkin has gotten my order wrong. I'll order the same drink from another Dunkin' and it'll be fine but when I order it here it's a wrong order. One time we had to bring the same drink back twice because when they made it again they got it completely wrong. I come to this store all the time to get two things Jelly donuts and a Large dark roast with cream and sugar. I am tired of your associates being lazy and not wanting to Brew dark roast coffee. What bothered me today is that the girl working on barista at 12:30pm took a leftover dark roast that has been sitting there for a while and cold and she heated up milk and put it on it just because she is so lazy and don't want to brew some coffee that takes only three minutes. Today I went to Dunkin and waited 30 mins for a cup of coffee at the drive thru. There were 2 cars in front of me, and they were not busy at all because there were barely any cars in the parking lot. I ordered a hot coffee and when they handed me my drink, you can feel how cold it was. I took off the top to taste of it was cold, and the coffee spilled on me and could feel how cold it was. I shouldn't have even waited that long to get one cup coffee, and once I received my item they gave me old coffee! It was extremely frustrating. Worst costumer service ever! We pull up to dunkin all excited because we have a gift card. We order a chocolate frosted donut. "I'm sorry we are out of that". Everyone in the car laughed because this happens everytime. They are always out of something. Strawberry frosted? "We dont have it". Well what do you have. "It's a long list". Can you please name some. "No, you can come inside and look if you want". Crazy! We start naming random donuts off. They are out of almost everything. We keep coming to this location, mainly because I can't find chocolate peanut butter ice cream anywhere else (now I know Lowes Foods sells it by the pint). But I agree with everyone. I don't do reviews often but felt compelled to do this one after reading so many bad ones. I LOVE my Dunkin Donuts. I have experienced an occasional delay, but by in large I get great service, smiling faces, and good attitudes at the desk inside as well as the drive thru. I probably go 3 times a week every week, and so far I can recall one order where I asked for an iced coffee and was met with a cup of HOT coffee at the window. They quickly made my iced and apologized several times for the error. I did have a thought at one time that new employees didn't perhaps get enough training, but that seems to have improved. For years and years, I have complained to Dunkin Donuts corporate about the Clayton, NC location. You get home and you have the wrong order. They put cream cheese on a bagel like it is butter. I complained to the Regional Manager and she wasn't much better. Not sure if she is the Regional Manager still or not. I would rather drive to Garner and go to Bruegger's than go to Dunkin Donut's in Clayton. It is nice to know it's not just me that complain's about this location. I am completely disappointed with my experience in this Dunkin' Donuts. Almost every time I come here they mess up my order and never get my coffee right. I came here with 3 other people and we went through the drive thru and ended up having to go inside because they got out order completely wrong. Edited review. Not very happy with this DD lately. They are getting a bit inconsistent. Coffee is hit or miss. The bagels seem to not be as good as they used to. Asking for a bagel toasted with cream cheese & what you get I guess depends on the employee working that day. Sometimes . Way too much cream cheese, sometimes not enough. On occasion the wait @ the drive-thru or even inside is ridiculous cuz they seem to be short staffed quite a bit. But the last time I came here, which was about a month ago, I had to wait 20 minutes for the staff to make my order for one Coolata. One of my friends had their sandwich order messed up twice before it was ever right. And why did they change the tables and chairs? What was wrong with what they had? They now have plastic chairs with metal legs, and the back legs of the chairs stick out so far, that they present a tripping hazard. I don't know what happened to this place. My husband and I came here regularly for a long time. Then maybe 6 months or so ago, the service just fell off a cliff. Not sure if there is new management or what but, if there is, they should be fired immediately. 80% of the time my order is wrong and the wait time has tripled at least. On top of that, the service is completely confused EVERYTIME I'm at the window. They don't know what my order was or even who is supposed to be doing what. Total chaos and completely unprofessional. Because of this, we rarely go anymore. I would advise you to do the same if you are on any kind of schedule or are picky about getting what you actually ordered. Too bad because DD has an excellent product. This has really brought my view of the entire brand down, though, that a store with these egregious issues has been allowed to continue for this long.
