Turkey pesto sandwich
Shanita F.

The food here is pretty good. The bakery is very large, they have a good number of tables and a few booths, but I went during lunch, so it was busy! They have sooooo many desserts that all look delicious. I ordered a turkey pesto sandwich and asked for the lettuce on the side so I could have the sandwich pressed. I ordered the bagel chips (never do that because why!) but the other option was the pasta salad. The menu says potato salad, but it's actually a pasta salad. I substituted the baked good that comes with it for a red velvet cookie. It was veryyyy good. The turkey pesto was just okay because they hardly had any pesto on the sandwich! The oil from the pesto didn't soak through the bread, so that should have been a sign that there was no pesto in sight. Don't know what that was about, but besides the bagel chips being a bad choice for me and the sandwich being dry, I liked this place lol

Spent 10 minutes in this bakery and wish it existed in my home town. Road trip: order dozen Black & Whites 24 hours a head of time. They were ready on time. Noon on the dot. This place has so much more. Coffee. Lunch. Cakes. Jams Italian espresso ice cream. There is plenty of seating for big parties, a number of booths on the window for friend get together, and one Three price couch area for lounging. Picked up a butter pound cake and jalapeño strawberry jam as well. Paired the pound cake with fruit for some guests. Divine. Staff was friendly and courteous. Support local. Especially when it tastes as good as this place.

A plain exterior opens into a large bakery and coffee shop, with ample seating. Walk up to the display cases and allow your mind to race with how many choices you can fit into the car to take home. The selections from cakes, cookies, doughnuts, bagels, eclairs, turnovers, balaclava, and many more to choose from. Add a custom coffee, latte, or smoothie to make your morning complete. Prices here are much better than your chain locations and the staff are always friendly and ready with a smile to start your day. If you need to work remotely there is WiFi available and you may as well stay for lunch as it's just as good as your breakfast options.

Satisfy your sweet tooth and restock your pantry at this local Bakery and Cafe. While in the plaza, I stopped here for a treat. I was happy to see that they have whole cakes available for purchase without preordering. In addition to cakes, they have breads, jellies, cheese straws, and a variety of other baked goods. After looking through all their items, I decided on a shadow cake ($14.95), sourdough bread ($4), cheese straws($4.85), and pomegranate jelly ($7.50). A little pricy, but comparable to similar bakeries. The shadow cake was too sweet for our taste. The bread and cheese straws were delicious. We would recommend this bakery to others!

Very good cinnamon roll! Donuts are okay. This is the best place in Clayton for a cinnamon roll.

The cake was beautiful and looks very yummy! We thought the icing was a little too sugary for our taste, but otherwise we were pleased.

What a beautiful place! Fall would be great for dining…read moreoutside, to hot today. Service was good. I had looked at the menu before I went. My husband and I got there and the calamari and salmon dish was not offered. I got the pork belly fried rice with eggs and my husband got the cheese burger. Both were equally delicious. Espresso my husband loved and my tamarind Margarita was great.

The booths are a vibe all by themselves, it's as though you are in a cave. Our waiter was friendly and gave excellent recommendations. Around the table we ordered: two orders of the French Toast(AMAZING), two sides of scrambled eggs and the one side of bacon and then a side of pork belly. I ordered the Lomo Saltado(DELICIOUS) w/ an over easy egg on top. I also ordered the Pumpkin Spice Latte (hot) it was meh until I asked our waiter for a sweetener, he gave me a vanilla & caramel syrup and that was JUST what it needed. I will say we did have a bit of a wait for our food due to them having an inspection but it was worth it!!! We also ended up getting desserts, the Tres Leche, Goat Chz Cheesecake (it's an acquired taste but I really enjoyed it) and Bread Pudding. Haven't tried the other 2 desserts yet but will update once we do. If ever in the area give them a try. I'm sure I will be back to try other menu items.

I love that they have drinks from morning (coffee) till night (alcohol). The kids play corner is also a big hit for this mama who loves to do story time across the street at the library then pop over to Gilded Pear for a bit. They just launched their August menu and I cannot wait to try it all!

It was built in 1900 and still has the original tin ceiling, decorative windows and exposed brick. Seating is on two floors, providing a cozy feel if sitting in the loft. They have the "Pear Necessities of Life" This is both a cafe for coffee and teas but also a bakery that serves breakfast and lunch. They are known for their bubble waffles, and crepes. But also have a large menu that has sandwiches, salads, flat breads and breakfast items. There should be something that appeals to even the pickiest eater. Ordering is done at the counter, and you receive a number, and the beverage and food are brought to your table. The menu is posted outside the entrance so you can check it out first. I went with a rose and cranberry lemonade that was a drink special, and the bubble waffle, and added strawberries and bananas. The bubble waffle intrigued me as I had never had one before. It is a honeycomb waffle popular in Hong Kong. It is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It looks like bubble wrap, which is hard to tell as mine was covered in strawberries and bananas. I enjoyed the texture and flavors of it. The Gilded Pear is a great addition if you're looking for somewhere to grab a quick bite to eat.
