This place is hit or miss; I've never been inside, but I've had times when I breeze through the drive-thru and other times when I've sat for 10 minutes with only a single car ahead of me. The only thing I get here is their frozen chocolate & breakfast sandwiches. What can I say; if you've eaten them at one of their locations, they'll taste the same at this one. If you are in an absolute hurry, I wouldn't take a chance that you might get stuck in the drive-thru because it's slow often enough that it's a concern. I just started working in the area and this is the closet coffee spot near my job. The service is always top notch anytime Mariah is there she gives off great energy! Inside is always closed and even if I placed a pick up order to just go inside and grab it I can't. I have to wait through the drive through even when there's like 7 other cars in front and Id have placed my order 10 plus minutes before even showing up so after waiting in a drive through for another 30 plus mins to get my things ordered 40 mins prior.. this is highly terrible service and who ever manages this place needs fired people have work schedules and this is why I should be able to place my order and walk in to get it when it's ready even if y'all don't want to take orders inside!! Miriah the manager on the 10 o'clock shift was extremely rude towards me I had asked for a worker I've known for a while there and she straight up said no and that I wasn't getting free food even after I showed her the 20 I was planning on paying with she refused to serve me and told everyone working to make sure I payed when she walked in the back I could hear her yelling at her staff with customers in the store cussing up a storm over something extremely petty and not worth the trouble as her shift ended around 12 I came back for lunch to see if I could finally order food she coped another attitude and told me to move when I was standing in the seating area eating my food all a around the other workers where extremely nice and do not deserve to be getting yelled at she was the only rude one and was telling other workers to not serve me. read more

This Dunks has been open for a while now, but I went there on the day of their official grand opening. Free coffee, spin a wheel for free donuts, a Dunks racing car, and 106.9 the Fox radio station was promoting it. I couldn't stay away from them. The location is on a nice corner across from Eagle Harbor, and I am sure that it will capture all of the traffic that comes across the James River Bridge. The first time we came here it was a rough drive thru adventure, but it appears that they have smoothed out those crinkles. I really like the décor that Dunks has started. I guess I would call it modern retro. Lots of the orange and pink colors everywhere. Overall, the customer service was good and we left happy. The true test will be when I stop here 6 months from now and see if they have gone downhill or if they have happy employees. That is the make it or break it for these stores. Bad customer service and getting orders wrong means that I will hit another location or eventually get so frustrated that I will stop going altogether. Dunkin' - Grand opening - Donuts Near Me - Carrollton, Virginia

This location has been open for a few months and has had time to work out the kinks. The parking lot is a hot mess some days. You enter from the back/side road near Food Lion and there is one exit. Some people don't understand 'ENTER' and 'EXIT ONLY' signs so it gets pretty terrifying leaving and cars are trying to run into you because they're going to the wrong way. The building is split in two.. I had thought the entire thing would just be Dunkin but it looks like another store is being built on the other half. The drive through is in the back and I haven't had any issues with hearing them and them hearing me. It is a chain coffee place.. nothing fancy but the lack of consistency between visits stands out. Some days my bagel with butter costs upwards of 50-75 cent more than the others. I have been told that getting it with cream cheese would be cheaper and that a plain bagel would still cost what it does when CC is added to it. I don't understand that. At other locations (and even this one) have done a 'sub-other spread' on the key to swap CC for butter and it doesn't charge extra. It makes me scratch my head why sometimes I'm charged more for butter and sometimes I am not. Also.. they aren't using butter, it is margarine per the workers and taste. I have been told I can order a plain toasted bagel and they will give me a butter packet to put my own butter on it. I do appreciate the alternative suggestions. The last few times I've been the drive thru worker 'couldn't give me a total for purchase until after I got to the pick up window. I do prefer to be told my total before pulling up in case they missed something, added something, or my total is just not what I expected at all. Coffee flavor and worker attitude is why I'm giving it 3 stars instead of 2. It tastes fresh and they don't kill my drinks with sugar when I opt in for 1 like the other joints in the area. Adding a turbo shot amps up the yummy roasted flavor and can counteract the sweetness if they add too much sugar. The workers are sweet mannered and I have yet to encounter a grumpy pants. read more

Service was usually pretty good. However I went recently because I had a coupon for a free large espresso beverage. Upon ordering I was informed that their espresso machine was conveniently broken on the day the coupon was good for. Was not offered a make good or a suitable beverage replacement. Heads up lobby is closed. You need to on line to see pictures of the doughnuts so you know the names unless your a regular. As is the case in every Dunkin Doughnuts more than 15 miles from Massachusetts don't expect it to be even close to the worst shop in Boston. Has been open for long enough to have the operation working smoothly... Literally have NEVER received a CORRECT drive thru order. The location itself is small, and designed poorly, but the caffeine addiction has been stronger than the inconvenience. The coffee tastes like coffee most days... Despite that I now order black, and fix it myself in order to ensure it doesn't taste like Hummingbird food. Blueberry muffin? Get blueberry donut. Sandwich? Here have someone else's sandwich. ... Definitely go inside to order or check throughly before leaving the drive up window Update- went from 3 to 1 stars... Frustration with this location... orders continue to be wrong. I don't know why we keep trying to eat here. There's no excuse for orders being incorrect 90% of the time. Just got someone else's order, went back to correct it and instead of offering to make us new food, they gave us our original order- which has been sitting out on the counter for 20 minutes. ... The supply and demand also seems to evade the folks in charge of ordering... Selection is often severely lacking and they didn't have proper cups at one point this week. I've been here multiple times and something is always a disappointment. First, service is always slow. In the past I have ordered breakfast sandwiches in which the cheese was missing and both sandwiches tasted burnt because somebody had left cheese burning in the toaster they use. I'm 99% sure they don't prepare the doughnuts the way that they should. They always taste cold. Today I ordered two doughnuts which were thrown into a bag together and had runny frosting. I frequently visit this location and they either get the order wrong or they're unable to fulfill my order for one reason or another. My request each time is for either a hot coffee or latte. The last four (4) visits they stated they are only able to offer the iced version of the drink. I accepted this once, but was fed up today, as I wanted my elected request ONLY! We went to pick up breakfast right when they opened this morning and the place was filthy. Muddy footprints on the furniture, food crumbs everywhere---just looked like they didn't bother to clean up before closing last night. We asked them to substitute turkey sausage on our breakfast sandwiches and instead they added both turkey sausage and pork sausage. And of course they charged us nearly the full cost of a sandwich for adding the extra meat. The staff doesn't seem to understand what's on the menu ("I don't know. Terrible. The past 5 times I've been there they wouldn't make me a sandwich. The first time it was 9:30 and they close at 10 so I get that they didn't want to start up the whole sandwich station again. The second and third time it was 2 in the afternoon and they had already closed down their sandwich station for the day. The fourth time, I finally asked why they don't ever make sandwiches anymore and they said they're "out of bread." The last time, I asked if they had sandwiches today and they said their air conditioning broke so they aren't making sandwiches until it's fixed. Well, I used to not write reviews, but now that I'm getting older and value $ more, it's something I feel I need to do. My boyfriend and I used to go to this location for a dozen and coffees. Now, the past two times we have been in there has been a poor selection of doughnuts available. I understand they are in the midst of changes, but to me an all day and part of the night doughnut shop should have a nice selection available. I love Duncan Donuts. The parking lot does make it tricky to get into. As long as you follow the enter and exit signs you're fine. Their sausage, egg and cheese croissants are great. Crispy on the outside and nice and hot. The people are very nice and courteous. I never have to wait long for my food. I live across the James River and come over when I can. This Dunkin Donuts is, by far, the absolute worst store in the Dunkin Donuts universe. For the last 3 years as of March 1, 2020, no matter when I try to buy something, they are out of it. Morning, noon, night, "we're all out of that." "Okay. are you making some more?" "No." "Why not?" "We have inventory limits." This applies to every donut, sandwich, and edible item on the menu. I mean EVERY. As for the world-famous coffee, it's good when it's freshly made, which means the hour after the place opens in the morning. Try it after 1:00 pm and it tastes like it was just pumped up out of the Kuwait oil fields. I was so excited to have DD so close to Eagle Harbor. However I was disappointed in the bagels. Too dense and not flavorful (a bagel competitor across the bridge is much better). The staff is super nice but service is slow. And by the way. I saw 2 K cup coffee boxes priced higher than if you bought 1 and then another (in other words 1 each box was cheaper than their offering of a two pack).
