If you ever find yourself in Smithfield, VA, and you're in need of coffee that'll make your heart skip a beat, look no further than my first love: Cure Coffeehouse. This quaint little gem has held my heart since i discovered it. I recently returned, and it was a special day--my birthday! I had a $5 birthday coupon, and I put it to use on a hot churro latte (because why not live a little?). Let me tell you: it was the perfect balance of sweet, spicy, and creamy. Payton was the barista behind the magic today, and I'm fairly convinced she's the reason this coffee shop is still thriving. Not only did she whip up a latte that had me questioning all other coffee-related relationships, but she also took the time to explain every single delicious-looking pastry behind the counter. I love this place because it's never just about coffee--it's about community. The staff is always so welcoming, like you're a regular even if you've only been there once. So, here's the deal: If you're in Smithfield, do yourself a favor and stop by. Your taste buds--and your heart--will thank you.

Cure is a good staple for Smithfield giving the town a little more vibe. The matcha was made perfection by the baristas. You did great girls!

My husband and I enjoyed our coffee break today at Cure. Our lattes were tasty, but we wished they were a little hotter. The crazelnut flavor was delicious; you can taste the caramel and the hazelnut :0) The staff were very friendly, and there is seating inside and outside. Cute place to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. Next time we will try their food, as well. Check them out!

The buttered rum latte is another *win* for Cure! Perfectly balanced and a wonderful holiday drink! They have the coffeehouse decorated for Christmas with a tree that includes coffee cups with artwork drawn by the baristas, which is a nice touch!

So, I was back in the area working for a short stint so decided to come back as I really like this place! I haven't been able to eat in, but it is a really cute, quaint space inside. As previously stated, I've only gotten takeout, but service has been fast, friendly, and helpful; I've never waited for very long. Drinks are well made and tasty. The latte art is a nice touch! My favorite is the creme brûlée latte with oat milk. The food is good, my only critique is that the ratio of toppings is a little bit off in my opinion. This week I had the pimento BLT (super heavy on the pimento) and the turkey sandwich with the fig jam (again, a bit too heavy on the spread). But both very tasty. Be prepared though: the prices here are pretty high. After tax, it's around $14 for a sandwich without any sides and lattes around $9 with non-dairy milk. Overall, I do enjoy this spot and make it a point to pop by when I'm in the area.

Such a cute little spot w/ employees who speak HIGHLY of their menu items and I see why based on this amazing dirty chai (rhyme) :)

Avocado Toast (You get 3 pieces but it was so delicious I didn't wait and took the pic after smashing the first one)

I hate that I ALWAYS find the cutest places nowhere near where I live! #firstworldproblems I was staying in the Smithfield Inn which is literally around the corner from Cure Coffeehouse. Coffee was delicious (got a Red Eye) and Avocado Toast. It was so good I came back a 2nd day and ran the same order back again. The staff was pleasant, happy to customize, and efficient. Definitely recommend you checking them out if you're in the Smithfield area!

Cute and quaint coffee shop in downtown Smithfield. Employees are friendly and one even called to let me know they ran out of a menu item after I put in my online order. Not their fault, but now that I think about it..they should make it so that unavailable items aren't able to be purchased through their online ordering system.

This is a nice addition to Smithfield. I love these new shops opening along Church/Main street! I was able to stop in for breakfast this morning when no one else was inside - the gal's inside didn't really say hi to me though one of them was polite enough once I spoke to her and ordered. I thought I was fairly friendly, I said hi to them, I left a tip, I have no idea if I somehow rubbed them wrong or what... but when I asked about the syrup in my coffee the girl who had not spoken to me at all looked at me and didn't even respond AT ALL. That is rude af. I chose the turkey fig sandwich on wheat bread with some chips and drip coffee. The turkey fig sandwich was pretty good and was a good-sized sandwich consisting of house-roasted turkey, goat cheese, avocado, house-made fig jam, greens and dijon dressing. Very fresh and delicious. The drip coffee was good too - I asked for vanilla and lavender syrup to flavor it and added some cream and sugar. I had all of this inside and the sandwich took about 5-10 minutes to be ready. I sat inside and ate it at the bar. None of the gals inside (two of them) asked me if I liked it - or spoke to me at all for the hour I was inside - they greeted everyone else who walked in and spoke to them - but no one spoke to me again while I was there. I'm not sure if you can get a refill of your coffee because one wasn't offered - I was on the fence about it - but it would've been nice to know. The menu has a ton of items I wanted to try - the yogurt parfait, the avocado toast, a few other sandwiches, some salads, etc. They have special coffee drinks too like creme brûlée, peppermint, honey cinnamon, etc. I'll come back for sure - I won't judge them solely based on this awkward experience with those two employees.

After checking in at the bar, we were told to grab a seat and that a server would come by, which they did promptly. The menu leans heavily into brunch, with plenty of options, plus coffee made just about any way you want it. True to the name, you can also add a shot or a bit of booze to just about anything. Service was fast and friendly throughout. I ordered a breakfast benedict and a mimosa, both of which were excellent. My daughter went with pancakes and really enjoyed them as well. Overall, a great experience and an easy recommendation if you are in Williamsburg and looking for a relaxed brunch or lunch spot.

IT'S SMALL I tried to call in my order but I got the voicemail almost every single time. Finally, after calling about 10 times I got through and placed my order. They told me the wait was going to be about 15. It was about a 10 min drive and when I got there, I still had to wait. There wasn't space for me to wait so people thought that I was waiting in line each time they walked in. It's super busy, but super small. I waited in the restaurant for my order for maybe an extra 20 mins. So, the wait time was 15 but I waited about 30 mins total. I ordered the catfish platter with fries. They definitely seasoned the catfish and fried it hard. The fries were thick cut and seasoned, but they weren't fried long enough. 3 fish platters cost $50. I would try this place again, but maybe a lot earlier in the day. Because this place is very inconvenient.

The coffee came out fast and it was very good. The ambiance of this place is excellent. Perfect for a quiet study session, reading, or date. The food on the other hand.... wasn't very good. The wait took almost 30 minutes. And felt premade and microwaved. Which in the restaurant business and coffee shops is sure is common. But when you charge the prices they do and take as long as they did to make. I cannot rate it any higher. Would not come back for food.

There was only one very pleasant young lady working and a pretty steady flow of customers so it did take a little longer than I'd hoped to be served but I enjoyed taking a look around the place while I waited. They have books, they have games, they have scheduled events (paint night for example) and they have a good variety of bakery items and hot sandwiches among other things. What a fun atmosphere! Oh and did I mention they also serve beer and wine! They have enough of a variety so there's sure to be something for everyone. You should definitly go and give it a try too.

It has a very clean minimal decor vibe but is still very welcoming and comfortable. There are large tables, sofas, a nice bar and arm chairs to gather in and the music is loud enough to mute conversations but not so loud as to disturb the vibe. The menu is simple. Coffees, teas seasonal drinks, sandwiches and pastries. My husband and I were taking a quick break from. Hopping and decided on drinks and a pastry. We ordered the grinch matcha latte, a gingerbread latte and a spinach feta pastry. Omg both of us loved the grinch. I've been searching for a matcha I could enjoy and this is it! All the right notes: not too sweet, creamy and the matcha well blended in the milk-think no grainy residue at the end. If I'm in the matcha mood I'm coming to get this. The grinch was so good I think it made the gingerbread latte less exciting but it was still delicious! The expresso was strong so for a non Coffee drinker like me it wasn't my favorite but my husband thought it was great. The pastry came out hot and was delicious. Everything came out fairly fast so even with the crowd we were there less than 30 minutes. I want to come back and try more drinks and a salad that seems up my alley. Please check out this locals establishment. You won't be disappointed!!
