Very aesthetically pleasing The croissant I had was not as sweet as I wanted it to be, but was still satisfying note to self. Matcha cream is not sweet at all and strawberries are not quite in season I suppose I also had a drink and it was delicious. It had brown sugar, Boba, and a taro milk cap. The service is wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back. I heard that on Tuesdays. They have buy one get one half off. read more

After having lunch in the area last weekend, Sophia and I stopped here for some dessert to cap off the afternoon. Joyu has been a very good place when it comes to producing various products. Whether it's boba tea, smoothies or coffee, they rarely disappoint. Let's see how things turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. Like many times, the decor was spotless and the vibe calm There were a few customers inside either dining in or ordering takeout. We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :) read more

I'm really big on hospitality and I was actually really excited to try this location. Unfortunately, when I walked in, I was not greeted. I placed my order on one of the kiosk and waited approximately 15 minutes for my iced Vietnamese coffee. I've had Vietnamese coffee before, so I kinda had a preconception of what I was getting myself into. You choose how much ice you would like how sweet you would like and I'd tend to like my coffees on the sweeter side. Let's just say I chose the 75% sweet and I tasted zero sugar. I went with one of my best friends because her and I enjoy coffee but have different taste buds while she enjoys the bitter taste. I enjoy the sweetness of it. She normally will take a black coffee while a latte or cappuccino. Her & I both ordered the same and got the 75% sweet and it worked for her. Unfortunately, it was just too bitter for me to finish. The ambience of this location is cool. I definitely see the vision that they're going for. This is definitely a place where you may just wanna grab and go not really cozy work place friendly. Overall, it wasn't a horrible experience. It just wasn't for me. read more

The young lady working on March 1 at 1215pm.... what's her name? SHE WAS PHENOMENAL.....personality, energy, charm! She asked me about my coffee preferences and guided me to a few recommendations. I settled on the caramel cinnamon with 100% sugar and I LIKE it! I really needed the espresso for my morning commute. She also guided me to the strawberry avalanche slush for my friend which she hasn't stopped sipping yet! It feels like a modern café in here with its clean and minimalist feel.. Nice hangout spot for friends (soft tones) or a gentle place to study. Parking lot parking so no worries on parallel parking :) read more

A hidden gem. Ordered strawberry lemon tea. Amazing. Second visit ordered a passion fruit peach tea, and discovered this will be my go to beverage at JoyU. Delicious! Service was very good, adjusting my tea to the combined flavor I wanted. Extremely clean, bright atmosphere! I will be a repeat customer. Side note: you must try the croissant baked with a cookie on top!!! Tasty treat for sure! read more

Joyu Tea & Coffee - Bubble Tea Near Me - Hampton, Virginia

I love the Joyu in VB, so I'm thrilled they opened one here in Hampton. The ladies who work here are super sweet and friendly, and the drinks never disappoint. They offer dairy-free options and plenty of customizations for sweetness and ice level. This location feels much cozier than the one in VB, with a warm and inviting vibe and a decent amount of seating. They also have a complimentary water station, Joyu merch, and a wide variety of desserts and food items. While my husband enjoys the strawberry yogurt from time to time (he says it can be a bit heavy), our go-to is the iced brown sugar fresh milk tea with Joyu foam. The Joyu foam (+$1.25) on top of any drink is amazing and I could honestly drink a whole cup of it. The Vietnamese coffee was spot on--sweet, salty, and creamy though not as sweet as I expected. My go-to drink never fails, but I do want to try more of their drinks and food. read more

Nice place, and good amount of seating for a small tea shop. Met up with my friend to try their matcha drinks. I think it was okay quality, but expected for this area. However, I LOVED the sweet corn foam with my matcha. I haven't had corn foam since I was in Cali and it definitely did not disappoint. Would go back just for that. read more

Wow! First and foremost amazing staff! Tiara and Julie are absolutely FAB and very knowledgeable on the menu! The sweet corn foam was one of a kind, and very nostalgic for us. I was in town visiting and needed a pick-me-up because this Virginia summer heat has been no joke. I ordered the Mango Storm for myself and picked up a few Coco Taros to bring home for the family. The interior is clean and modern, and the online ordering process was smooth. There were only two staff members working when we arrived, so the wait was a little longer than expected. The Mango Storm was an absolute treat. It was refreshing, creamy, and satisfying. Its texture and flavor reminded me of a Mango Lassi with a slightly thicker, indulgent twist. So good! read more

We walked in just because it looked good online and it turned out to be a cute little place with really nice people working. The double matcha milk tea was very good (added boba) and the stupid Crookie (croissant with cookie baked inside and another on top -2 cookies and a croissant in one snack) was amazing. I should have gotten a strong coffee to go with it but I will survive. read more

Finally! A spot on this side of the water that has croffles! I know there is also a joyu on the other side of the water but i never got a chance to go. The inside is so cute! Very modern and simple. There is a kiosk you can order from, but you can also order at the register. The employee was super nice and gave me direction and assistance as it was my first time there. I'm not a fan of coffee, so i was interested to see what drink I might like. I played it safe and got a peach tea and it was good! I built my own croffle, and got strawberry and cream which was good. I will definitely be back! read more

Cute boba tea cafe in a strip mall next to Marshall's and Wal mart. I know there are other locations in Va beach but I've never been and the drinks always looked delicious! The staff was really friendly and gave me some good recommendations. I ultimately went with the Taro Lava Brown Sugar milk tea with boba and half the sugar... it was delicious but still sweet. The taro foam was sooo good! I can't imagine what it would have been without lessening the sugar though. Can't wait to try another drink! read more

Really cute spot in a shopping plaza. Lots of seating for studying or meeting up with people. I took my niece here for a drink, she got the strawberry avalanche and i got the taro lava. Best tea!!! I'm obsessed with how delicious their tea is. Also in awe at how adorable the shop is! It's easy to order your drink and pretty quick to receive the drink. My favorite thing about Joyu is that almost everything is customizable. It usually is such a bummer going to other tea shops and they don't have different milk options. I'm so thrilled I can order a Taro tea with oat or almond milk. This is definitely a drive to get to but once I saw it offered alternative milk options I'd definitely will be making the drive to Joyu! 10/10 recommend! read more

took my daughters here for my oldest 7th birthday she's obsessed with boba! We had such a wonderful experience! Gabby was working that day and went above & beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time. My girls asked if she could play their favorite songs, and she was so sweet and made it happen. it's something little but it really made the moment extra special. I stopped in while on my way back to VB from a roadtrip, and this newly opened Joyu did not disappoint! The inside is cute and nicely kept, and there's also a long, comfy sofa to sit in as well at certain tables. My friend and I ordered drinks, and their service seemed a bit slower than usual in getting our orders out especially since we were the only ones in the store, but the place also seemed popular for Doordashers so all of the staff was kept busy. I got the hot chocolate matcha and my friend got the passion fruit peach tea: both drinks were pretty good! One thing I like about Joyu is they don't oversweeten their drinks, so the sugar in both drinks were perfect even at 100%. Glad to see Joyu's new shop over the bridge is doing well, always looking forward to exploring their menu more! read more

My daughter and I ordered the pumpkin cloud Chai and the GOURMET FLOSS & BUTTER CROISSANT. Something told me to open the croissant. I can honestly say that I immediately lost my appetite. 11/30/2024: Grand opening morning - one word to describe the drinks, atmosphere, staff/customer service: perfect. It was great and a pleasure seeing the Owner and his Team as well! We got two drinks: one large Moonlite Lychee Tea with regular (100%) sugar and regular (100%) ice and one large Strawberry Lemon Tea with regular (100%) sugar and regular (100%) ice and strawberry toppings. Both drinks were delicious and refreshing. I kid you not, but my partner literally went in and got another one after we walked to the vehicle. I highly recommend this unique tea/coffee establishment. Both of their establishments - they got one in Virginia Beach as well! Great work Team! Looking forward in your continual development and great things that you and the Team continue to make! read more

I've had the brown sugar fresh milk at different locations, but idk why it taste better here!!

I love my Thai tea from Joyu, every time I go in it's friendly and fast service. Tonight I especially enjoyed my fast service. The two girls (one with purple hair and one with dark hair with the panda pin) are my favorites because every time I come in they somehow know EXACTLY how I like my drink. I've also gotten good advice on what treats to order too!! They gave me some tips on what to try after I've let them know my preferences. It feels like more of a community store instead of a big chain, which I really like. Thx again Joyu!!! Until next time read more
