    Creme Brulee Oreo Milk

Sophia and I went to this Whale Tea location after the movies on Sunday. We've been here a number of times since opening up two years ago. Having an option for boba tea and other treats is great for the Peninsula. Let's see how the visit turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. The vibe inside was pretty chilled for a hot Sunday afternoon. There were only two people seated and more folks did come, but the majority came for takeout. We both ordered immediately after walking inside. My choice was Creme Brulee Oreo Milk at 50% sugar with tapioca pearls and 50% ice. As always, it was pretty good. Full of milk, pearls and Oreo. Refreshing as always. Whale Tea....delivering quality products. They'll definitely come in handy the next time we're around :)

The best boba in the area! Fortunately I live close enough to come by often and everything I've had is delicious. Milk tea, ice teas, hot teas...you can't go wrong. Love the self serve kiosk which helps you really understand how customized you can get with making your orders. My fav is the brown sugar boba with coconut milk and half the sugar. Staff is always friendly and this cafe is nicely decorated and ALWAYS clean!!

I had the taro tea this time and Korean corn dog. The taro tea was very chunky like someone grounded up taro by hand. I appreciate that it's made of real taro but the chunkiness was off putting. It was like drinking chunky, stringy, mashed potato. The Korean corn dog was okay. It was small and had fish cake inside.

Very cute store, decor is on point as well. The vanilla cake I had was very light and delicate in taste. My first thought yo my drink was the mango flavor was nonexistent until I realize the cashier did not hear me clearly and then gave me a brown sugar milk, tea. Not a huge deal honestly Gives me a reason to try them again!

So happy to see Whale Tea on this side of the water. Located in the shopping strip next to Kroger, and old Kmart in Yorktown. Parking is convenient. Upon entering it is warm and inviting. It is also very clean! Bright, white, gold and marble throughout. There is about 6-7 tables, 14 seats available. Service was great. There is a kiosk to order, if needed you can have an employee help you. Pricing for our 4 drinks was $27. Not too bad. We opted to sign up for the rewards/membership. The drinks were so delicious. Made fresh! They do have some macaroons and a chocolate roll cake. I hope the end up getting the Nutella filled waffle eggs. Another location has that, and they are a big hit! Welcome to Yorktown, Whale Tea

This place is so good! Let's start off with the awesome customer service. It's only my second time here and I was again greeted very nicely and was helped with picking a drink because I was a little overwhelmed with all the choices. I came here for the $7.57 drink deals where if you check in, you are able to get two drinks for $7.57 Now for the drinks I got the peach oolong tea again, and it was just as good as it was the first time I tried it. I tried the milk foam strawberry tea and it was delicious! I love that they have free wi-fi and 5 tables that you can sit and work at. The chairs are comfortable. It's clean and bright as well inside. I can't wait to come back a few more times for the deals before October ends! It's really a great deal for the quality and quantity of the drinks.

This was a such a little Yelp event! Whale tea is actually in an area I frequent weekly. Anyway, this quaint little tea shop is so inviting and the ladies behind the counter were so pleasant. When I walked in, I simply love the simplistic, Asian inspired decor. Another plus is that it was extremely clean. The menu has so many items. I literally had no idea what to choose. So, I asked the ladies behind the counter to surprise me. They chose a milk foam grape tea. I honestly never had anything like that before. Literally never had grape and milk foam together. I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeed how different, new and exciting this flavor was to me. The grape was so pronounced and the drink was extremely enjoyable. The service, ambiance and drink were all A+ And what makes this place even better is that they have parking. I'll be back!

This tea shop was busy and had only one person working on the weekend I dropped by, so it wasn't the fastest stop. This did allow me to peruse their dessert selection. I found their tea menu intriguing and it had some uncommon items. The fruit tea I went with was delivered as a slush, which is not what I was expecting from the menu. It was good, but at over $10, it wasn't that good. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but the amount of enjoyment for the money, even for an indulgence like bubble tea, wasn't quite what I was hoping.

10/10 for presentation and interior design! The customer service wasn't great. I walked in, first time, I said "hey I have a pickup order" and the young man just pointed to the left and instantly took the person behind me before I even walked off. The other woman who helped me was extremely kind and helpful but just so odd how rude the first guy was. The drink sadly wasn't good at all. I was so bummed because I really wanted it. I get taro milk tea all the time from other tea shops but this sadly just wasn't good. I would like to try at least one more drink from here though.

Good drinks but no attention to detail. Both drinks made wrong and incorrect sizes. It was not busy so that was not the issue.

Joyu has been a very good place when it comes to producing various products. Whether it's boba tea, smoothies or coffee, they rarely disappoint. Let's see how things turned out. We were greeted by the staff once we walked in. Like many times, the decor was spotless and the vibe calm There were a few customers inside either dining in or ordering takeout. We knew what we wanted before entering so it took no time to order. I selected one of their Spring items, Brown Sugar Rose-Berry Freshmilk with brown sugar pearls, in honor of cherry blossoms for the State of Virginia. A very good drink indeed. Not too sweet and full of flavor. Some of the pearls did get stuck together (they were served hot after all), but it was no problem. Thank you once again Joyu for having us feel comfortable with much needed drinks. You'll see us again soon :)

You choose your own seating but it seems like the whole staff is there to wait on you. Everyone made sure we had all that we needed and enjoyed our food. We started off with the egg rolls and spring rolls, both were flavorful, light and delicious. For entrees I had the pho number 6 with brisket, rare beef and tendon (could've done without the tendon but I wanted to try something new). I asked for them to substitute the regular pho broth for the Bun Bo Hue broth. It was lighter than I expected but the flavor was still very good. My wife had the lemongrass chicken vermicelli bowl but she substituted the noodles for rice; she liked that the vermicelli bowl had more vegetables than the rice bowls. This was also phenomenal. Great char on the chicken and huge portions. Spent a total of $57 before tip, that did include one fountain drink and a Thai tea. We will be back for sure!
