    Salt Lick Caramel

After Sophia and I ate at Bubba and Frank's for lunch literally next door, we walked over here for some treats. Cone Slingers has been a favorite of ours for years where their ice cream has been really good. I can't really complain that much about the flavors they offer. Let's see how this visit turned out. When we first walked in, foot traffic was minimal and we spent no time in line ordering. The staff greeted us once we walked inside. They've been always friendly which has been a huge plus. And music was playing on the speakers, I believe all Country. I'm not a big fan, but don't mind listening to a few songs here and there. Anyway, I chose a scoop of Salt Lick Caramel in a cup and Sophia chose her favorite, Bee Pollen Lavender. Both of us liked our selections, but we may've chosen too much ice cream given we just finished eating lunch not that long before. Nonetheless, we were able to finish up our choices with no major issues. Once again, we were both satisfied. Not sure when we'll be back, but it'll be during the Summer. Perfect weather for ice cream :)

Friendly staff, great flavors- My favorite is the coffee!! Gotta try this place. Stock up on seasonal flavors too, I love to try them all.

Blue mint chip in back. Coffee toffee on the right and turtle front left.

Noms! This place is so cute. I've stopped in to browse before but hadn't sampled the goods. I love that they make all the flavors and change them out, so it's not something that you can get just anywhere and it hasn't been frozen and transported a long way. Fresh and creamy. Wonderful huge range of rotating flavors (like 25+ at all times) and give you a huge portion for one scoop at about $6. They also have cones and milkshakes available. I love the decor and theme inside. It's carried through even to the bathroom where they have wanted posters hanging up and toilet paper on a real wooden branch. Just super cute all around - looks kind'a like a saloon inside. My mom is a cookie monster for ice cream so last weekend we promised we'd stop in this local's staple - she was not disappointed. It was hard to choose, from all the wonderful options but this is what we had the day we stopped in: Blue Mint Chip, Turtle and Six Shooter Skink Coffee. Blue mint chip is what you think it is - was very good and minty but not too much an didn't have too many chips in it - probably could've had just a bit more. The turtle was like snickers ice cream - with vanilla ice cream, peanuts, caramel and chocolate swirled in. Mine was the best we all thought - a coffee ice cream that was heavenly in flavor with almond toffee bites inside. SOOOO good. Everyone liked it best, so I did well. Delish! Will def. come back again next time we're in Smithfield for the day!

This is a great little ice cream shoppe. The flavors are interesting and prices are reasonable. The scoops are huge so unless you are hungry, you may want a single scoop. The staff is always pleasant and service is quick even when they are busy. The space is small, but there are a couple benches outside. Take the drive out here. It is worth it.

We love Coneslingers! They sell homemade icecream in delicious and unique flavors. The prices and portions are very good. My daughter and I always get the "mini" size. Some of my favorite flavors are honey lavender, brown sugar bacon, and pumpkin! The homemade waffle cones are delicious too. They always have regular waffle cones and a unique flavor (e.g., red velvet).

I've always had GREAT service here! The ice cream is fabulous. The Pig Pickin is my new favorite

Wow, $6 for one small scoop of ice cream. I am in the area on business and as it was about 90 today, I thought it was a perfect time for ice cream. Not being familiar with the area, I decided to try this place due to the great reviews. Others had mentioned the cost of the small ice cream, but said it was a good sized scoop. Well, that wasn't my experience at all. In fact, I've had larger kiddie sized ice cream cones at other places. The chocolate peanut butter ice cream was good, but there were parts of it that tasted like another flavor of ice cream, indicating that someone hadn't used a clean scoop after scooping another flavor. I was really disappointed and would not go out of my way to visit again.

Whattttt! Omg a classic candy I grew up eating

First of all, what a cute place. Gives me all the cowboy vibes! Second- I love that they let you sample flavors, some are a little weirdly put together, but the flavor complements your palate so well. I ended up getting the birthday cake ice cream, because that is just simply always my go to. The scoops are huge, and melt rather quickly, so I would encourage you to get a cup to put it in. If you need ice cream date, I'm your girl! Lol y'all enjoy

The absolute best place to get ice cream! It's located in a very small shopping center with parking right there, lots of parking. The inside is like a country theme relating back to the same. It's small inside with a few tables(around 3) and I think maybe some bar like space at the window. There are also some benches to sit outside. They have good friendly service. The ice cream menu is not traditional. They have different flavors because they MAKE the ice cream. I'm a creature of habit and generally get the sugar cookie flavor, which has chucks of cookies! You can ask for samples of the flavors you are interested in prior to ordering. They are VERY GENEROUS with the scoops. I usually get a single in a waffle cone and it's a lot! The amount is a little less if you get it in a cup. When the weather is nice there is generally a line out the door in the evenings so pack your patience, it'll be worth it! I'm lactose intolerant and this ice cream doesn't make my stomach hurt Highly recommend!

I have frequented Sweet Frog for over six years. During the summer, I typically visit twice a week,…read morespending a minimum of $10 item. That's approximately $20 a week, totaling about $80 a month. Yesterday, I decided to celebrate with some frozen yogurt. When I went to the restroom, I noticed packaged toilet paper sitting on top of the paper towel dispenser. That probably should have been my first red flag. Both toilet paper dispensers were empty, and instead of restocking them, someone had simply left two unopened rolls on top of the paper towel dispenser. I only washed my hands and then proceeded to complete my purchase. The cashier (a different employee, but this was the second time this week) did not greet me while I was standing in front of the candy toppings. I assumed someone else would come out to assist me. I placed my cup on the scale, and that's when she walked over and asked, "Is that all you'll have today?" I was confused because I was clearly holding an ice cream cone in my left hand. I simply raised my hand to show her the cone. She then said, "Let me grab the cone stand so I can weigh it." After I paid, I still had to ask her for a lid and a bag. She then grabbed a lid and a closed paper bag and tried to hand them to me. I raised both hands again and asked if she could place the lid on my cup of frozen yogurt since she had moved it to her side of the counter to make room for the cone stand. She smirked, said, "Sure," and dropped the receipt. I told her I didn't need the receipt, so she didn't have to worry about it. She finally placed the lid on the cup, and I still had to help her put the cup into the paper bag while I was holding the cone in my other hand. During the transaction, I seriously considered asking for a refund on the cup because the frustration she displayed after I requested a lid and a bag was disrespectful and rude. Those are basic parts of customer service and should not feel like an inconvenience for a paying customer. Needless to say, it might be time for me to find another Sweet Frog. I literally drive through two cities to visit the Suffolk location because of its cleanliness and good customer service. Unfortunately, I am no longer willing to spend $80 a month at an establishment where employees act as though performing the bare minimum of their job description is an inconvenience. 2 poor experience, 4 days apart, by 2 different employees at the same location .... I take it as a sign. NO THANK YOU!!!

Secondly, we spent about $25 more dollars here than we do normally on the exact same rolls at other restaurants. The specialty rolls are definitely more pricey for the same quality. Overall, good experience and good sushi but much more pricey for no apparent reason.
