Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.

On day two we decided to stop in Sully's steamers because of the away reminded me of bagel and deli. Turns out the owner went to Miami and one of his favorite places to eat with bagel and deli. The sandwiches are almost identical save for they came not only wrapped in oil but a to-go box as well. The entire place was steamy and humid that bagels were perfect and my breakfast sandwich with flawless. While they don't have a competition to eat everything in the menu board like bagel and deli I would probably make my own competition. If you're expecting a six-level parking garage with valet service, you've made several wrong turns. The staff immediately made us feel like we'd wandered into Papaw's store and the grandkids were helping out for the afternoon. Two young ladies were running the place, one at the register and one making sandwiches. They weren't reciting a corporate script or trying to upsell me a rewards program. They were just genuinely friendly people who actually seemed happy we stopped in. Imagine that. This isn't a restaurant pretending to be a country store. It is a country store. The French Onion Dip was the winner and it came with a French onion soup dip. Chips come with sandwiches & sides like slaw, fries etc., are $3 extra. Most sandwiches seemed large enough to split. The cloth napkins and non-plastic silverware were real nice touches.
