I went at 11am on a Sunday during peak church hours and though we have 15 reservations ahead of us, we only waited for 20 minutes or so, The food is really good. My friend thought her omelette and potatoes were great. The blueberry waffles I thought were good. Nothing special to say, but it's hard to mess up waffles in my opinion and Stax Omega sure didn't miss. I love consistently and Stax Omega is a great consistent and clean diner. If you are looking for a place to take the family to, especially when the grandparents are involved, this is a great option. And I have to emphasize again: LESS than a 30 minute wait when I had 15 RESERVATIONS ahead of me!

We did wait about 15mins before we were approached by our waitress, which did disappoint us because we watched 2 tables get seated after us and they were immediately served water and orders were taken. The restaurant itself was not busy at the time we arrived, which was a bummer for us to wait awhile before even being approached with water. The food itself was great. I do wish the French Toast was brought out to us sooner because it was barely warm by the time it was placed on the table. Taste wise everything tasted great! I do recommend this spot and I hope to visit it again and hopefully have better service in the future. Service did impact this review as I feel service is a major part of the restaurant experience.

Such a fantastic location, on the corner of McBee Ave. The building and setting is gorgeous inside and outside seating. Both very large areas that would be awesome for evenings out. I always feel cold inside restaurants and didn't have a sweater.. so I chose one of the long marble top tables outside. There is also a big tv for game viewing in a fully covered corner area. The bar opens up so it's accessible whether seated inside or out (photos). The menu has great choices. I had done my research beforehand since I was on a time crunch and ordered the roast beef melt.. which came with fries and au jus that was amazing!! I added a side of steamed oysters.. perfection!! These came with horseradish, cocktail sauce, red wine vinegar and oil for dipping. I ended my meal with creme brûlée that was better than one's I've had in Paris. It was topped with a perfect layer of flamed sugar, fresh assortment of fruit in whipped creme + a tiny crown of mint. The creme brûlée had a hint of lemon, making it over the top delicious. I thought it was odd start and really packed the table with things we didn't know we'd need 'House oysters' were filthy. Muck, grit, shell in them. I have never seen such a thing except when I tried to DIY oysters for the first time. Everyone ran out of drinks (alcohol and water) and we were never refilled. Food came to the table but we were missing sides, a main, and a sweet tea ordered 45 minutes prior. Absolutely atrocious service and really underwhelming food.
