While traveling from South Carolina to Georgia, we decided to stop off and grab something to eat. We were both craving breakfast food 8 o'clock at night and this place hit the spot. The service was good, the restaurant was pretty clean and the food was pretty good. The waffle was probably one of the best that I've tasted in a while and I absolutely fell in love with the taco breakfast bowl. They also had my favorite hot sauce...... The only complaint I have is that they were a little bit too eager to close up, so we felt a little bit rushed, by them closing the blinds and pulling the chairs up. read more

Was on a business trip and stumbled on his dinner. I had a great experience from the tine I walked in to the time I left the building. Family friendly atmosphere with good seating. The waitress was super friendly and provided exceptional service. I was seated right away. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict with grits. My meal came out hot and fresh. The crab cakes were excellent and the hollandaise sauce was really good. It was one of the best that I've had. The grits were ok, but those crab cakes were phenomenal. Cute, homey place with an excellent variety of meals. Many choices for breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food was very good and the service was excellent! The servings were very generous. They are on top of everything and won't let your drink glasses or cups get too low. Every employee there is friendly and outgoing. Would love to mention Theonnie (ask to see pics of her sweet 6 week old), Dani & Danielle in particular. Friday 9-12-25, we were looking for lunch, we didn't want the typical fast through drive-through restaurant we were looking for something sit down with good food, we fell upon Metro diner accidentally and we were so happy. They have a huge menu they do breakfast all day. The weight staff is amazing. Please ask for Princess she is awesome, we met with Justin the owner manager. He came around asking for feedback if everything was OK, we gave him our feedback and told him we would be back, He was just cordial friendly. Happy guy thanked us for coming in. We love fish and chips, so that's what we ordered. Plenty of food delicious a little on a spicy side but full of flavor. We are definitely going back for breakfast. This is just a great diamond in the rough in Anderson when you're looking for good food, reasonable price happy weight staff great manager just an all-around good place to eat. Everything we ate was delicious. We came for their "soft opening" and they did not disappoint. Best bacon ever. I asked for it not crunchy and it's perfect. My son loved the mac n cheese it tasted homemade. My daughter actually Loved the chicken which is saying a lot for her. Absolutely excellent food. Good variety on menu. I had the Bacon Avocado Scramble bowl. Priced well and plenty of food for the price. Service was excellent and waitstaff was very attentive for all things before, during, and after service . Great atmosphere and it was in line with a good old fashion diner. New restaurant in town!!! We went to the soft opening and the employees were all so nice, from the waitresses to the manager. They brought out the food! I saw a plate of chicken and waffles go by and I said that's two separate meals. Large portions. I had the Double BLT and it was very filling. Came with a pickle and I got onion rings. The rings were whole onions and they didn't separate from the batter. Plenty of sides to choose from the menu. My husband had the steak tips. They were tender, served on top of mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. He ate the entire bowl. He never finishes anything . To end it all you have to have the cookie butter bread pudding! 3-4 inches high, buttery and a crumble of speculos on top!! Wow! The place is new so everything was Spotless. Open kitchen, bar with stools just like an ole timey diner. The serve elevated diner food and then some. Open breakfast and lunch for the next 2 weeks and then dinner will be established!! This place is going to give Cracker Barrel a run for their money! Scratch that the metro diner has them beat hands down. This will be my new stomping ground for good eats!!' The green theme in this diner is beautiful. I love the retro vibes on some of the decorations. Our server Cassie was so nice. She recommend what she thought was the best options. They serve breakfast, lunch and diner all-day. My mom ordered the chicken and waffles, my sister order the croissant french toast, and I ordered the cinnamon roll pancakes. It comes with candied pecans and i'm not really a fan of pecans but these were delicious. 10/10! read more

We went for a late lunch on a Friday and the place was packed! It's definitely loud so be prepared, but it's not so off putting that I wouldn't go back. The food was really good. I had the lemon blueberry waffle with strawberry butter and a side of bacon. The waffle was amazing! Flavorful with slight crispness to the outside but fluffy and chewy on the inside. Not a fan of the strawberry butter but that's more personal preference than anything being wrong with it. My husband had biscuits and gravy. He said they were good, nothing to write home about but definitely not mediocre. Server was very friendly and attentive despite having a full load of tables. Food is generally good and service fair. On 10-11 we asked to be seated in empty booth and were told no because of "rotation" by hostess. We were seated next to tanle of 14 to 16. We know that this type of table requires a lot of attention. Needless to say wr shpuld mot have been sat there. And why or what is "rotation"? We will return. But some training is needed. read more

Visiting in Anderson SC and stopped in for breakfast. The service was a little so to start off. Waited about 5-6 min before anyone came to my table even though there were 6 servers standing in the far corner talking and laughing with each other. However, once my waitress did arrive, she was a good server. I had the breakfast burger, medium rare with an over-medium egg. Both work cooked perfectly and the taste was amazing. We were both SO impressed with the deliciousness of the food, menu choices, ambience and especially the service! Our waitress was Sheila Metz--I have to say she was the kindest, friendliest, attentive and everything else you could wish for in a server! She was "on the spot" with everything, frequently checking if we needed anything, made us feel like we were special! I appreciate her work ethic and personality in her treatment of customers.
