We had high hopes for this restaurant. it has interesting architecture from outside and pleasant cabin type feel inside. Unfortunately that's where it ends. The acoustics for the dining room are such that every sound seems to be amplified to a concussive din. Such that patrons are talking louder and louder to be heard at their own tables. The service is lacking. we asked for three kids pizzas and an order of fries (for our single digit ages kids to share) and the sent our three huge order of fries. (@$4.50 each). the server asked how i'd like my meat prepared; medium was my choice) came out burnt. also there was hair in the dressing, and the salmon was dry. The server was nowhere to be found and we had to leave our table to get assistance from someone who made eye contact. It was an unpleasant experience. I took my family to Seneca Restuarant for late lunch. The restaurant was basically empty, but we were seated as far from the kitchen as possible. Our server was not up for the job. The interval between ordering and being served dragged on. We ate our table appetizers from platters. No plates til we were finished. It went downhill after that. I stopped going here for a while bc the food had gotten not so good anymore. I was craving the house salad, which is an absolute favorite and a ribeye and baked potato.. I took a chance and went on Friday while I was working in town. I have to say that may have been one of the best steaks I have ever had! It was cooked to perfection, the baked potato was so soft and fluffy, and of course, the salad with the bacon honey mustard dressing was fabulous. I'm so glad that I made the decision to go here this day for lunch. I got the 12 ounce ribeye and it was really big and so flavorful. I could not eat the whole thing so I brought it home and had it for dinner. It was just as amazing as it was when I got it served to me.. I sat in the bar area and the waitress was so very sweet and provided great service. I chose to sit in the bar area because it was a little more lighted. To me the restaurant is so dark. Overall, the dining experience was nice. It was not a very busy night so it was quiet and we had the attention of our server. We ordered the she-crab soup and salad combo which was just the right amount of food. The wife had the regular salad and I ordered the Caesar salad. My salad had too much dressing and could have done with about half that amount so that is why I gave the 4 stars. May I suggest asking for the Caesar dressing on the side so that you can put on the right amount for you. The she crab soup was yummy and hit the spot. Ate lunch here on a Sunday noonish. The parking lot was getting full as the place was recommended. It was spacious inside and was seated promptly. Our waiter was nice and tried to accommodate my wife special order but the cook said not deviation of the menu. All she wanted to do was to order the shrimp seasoning that normally went with the appetizer Shrimp and use it for her main course even on the side! My son ordered the fish and liked it. I ordered the Sirloin and had it cooked Medium. For the price paid I was expecting a lean cut instead got a big thick end cut which almost minute steak chewy.. if I would have known it was that thick I would have ordered medium well then I could have ate it like beef jerky. I would like to return in the future and give them a second chance but seeing they don't offer a military discount for their Mess Deck level food I will pass! read more

I attended a graduation party here. The restaurant staff was attentive and made the experience memorable. The prime rib with au jus was tender. Came for dinner... sat in the bar area and ordered a drink that was made completely wrong. It happens but when the second drink is wrong then there is an issue. Waited close to an hour for food, when the food came (plain grilled chicken breast and plain baked potato) it had sauce all over it. Voiced that I ordered plain.. employee states "so you want me to take it back?" I said yes please I've waited almost an hr and it's wrong.. I got the next statement "the kitchen is a shitshow" my bf ordered a burger and the bacon was undercooked and the bun was soggy. I will never go back to this restaurant EVER! Went for dinner Easter Monday - Had to wait 10-15 minutes to be seated - 3/4 of the restaurant empty, but not enough servers - no one in bar. Service was otherwise fantastic - courteous, friendly and engaging. Wings - delicious, perfectly Cooked and super large. Prime rib terrible - very overcooked - asked for medium rare, got well done (as if cooked and placed under heat lamp for several hours) "Chopped steak" - oily and just simply not appetizing. I was on a work trip and this restaurant was identified as our lunch spot. The outside resembled a steak house but the inside had more of a comfort food, down-home feel. I liked the vibe! I forgot to mention that someone local recommended the croissants with the honey drizzle. Now, that sounded like a plan, so I made sure to order them with my meal. Our server was nice and made sure that we had what we needed. However, being a party 13, she was not able to please everyone. My only suggestion would be to have more than one server for a party over 8. I ordered the chopped Italian salad and it was HUGE! My order was one of the 1st to come out and everyone was astonished by the amount of food on my plate. The server also brought out 5 croissants so I was able to share them with my table. They were delicious! The salad was also delicious but way too much to finish in one sitting. Next time I will order the salmon because it looked good as well. Well, it had been over two years since I last went to Copper River in Seneca. We quit going because of poor service, low quality and messed up take out orders. One time I even had an entire pizza dumped face down in my lap, and was only told they would cook me another one but no offer to comp. the price. Be all that as it may, my wife and I decided to give it another shot and were pleasantly surprised, our take out order was correct, the food was got and very good. We have since ordered take out a second time with the same pleasant results. The online ordering is very user friendly, I only suggest being able to add a tip when placing the order. The first time I picked up, I didn't have any cash on me and I was told the order was rung up and there was no way to add a tip to it. If you haven't been to Copper River lately, it is worth giving them another shot. read more

I ordered the ribeye quesadilla online for pickup. I got it home and when I opened the box I saw it was badly burnt. I also saw really small sliver of meat which I found unlikely yo be ribeye. My niece and her family were staying at a nearby lake campground. We drove in to meet them for lunch and she selected Copper River Grill. Since we had a large party that put us in their back room which gave us plenty of room. The restaurant itself is much like the other Copper River Grill's in the Upstate, it has a decent rustic charm. Our waiter stopped by to introduce himself and took our drink orders. I ordered a cup of their she-crab soup for an appetizer and it was good, but I must say it wasn't as rich as the one in Greer. I'm not saying that as good or bad, just an observation. For my meal I ordered the Copper River Salad which is my normal go-to. The salad was well prepared, I asked for an extra cup of dressing and the waiter was kind enough to bring too. My daughter ordered their Italian Kitchen Sink, it had artichokes in it and they were not good, something was definitely funky. The rest of her salad was great, but the artichokes were definitely somewhat off. All in all, they accommodated us nicely and took care of us while we were there. read more
