In the area for a wonderful family gathering and we were looking for a great unique lunch spot after a really nice hike. Well we found it! Mayberry's PERFECTLY hit the spot and was exactly what we had in mind. This was counter service and you order first and the food is served at your table. Same with the drinks. I asked her what was the best thing on the menu and I am convinced that she told me. Mikayla really MADE our experience! Incredible service!! I ordered the BBQ (pork?) Grilled Cheese sandwich with the Rosemary Potato Salad and it was incredible! Rich and meaty pulled pork with a slightly sweet bbq sauce on a grilled cheese. Delicious! The rosemary potato salad was ingenious! I have never thought about putting fresh rosemary in a dish like this but it should be a thing! Finally I topped off my perfect meal with a slice of apple, cranberry, walnut pie with fresh whipped cream. The first thing out of my mouth was this is the best pie I have ever had. Do you ever notice that there are times when a pie like this could have used a bit more cinnamon? This was not that moment! It was the cinnamon on top of the perfect crust that made this pie. The place was empty when we arrived - which is both good and bad. Fast service, no wait, easy to find a table - we just wondered where everyone was. I would have gave this place a 5 but I'll be honest they got a 4 because the "cheddar cornbread" was terrible ... for such a place, I expect top-not h cornbread. Our party of 5 all said it was bad; you couldn't taste the cheddar and it tasted liked it was baked in fish oil - slight charring and burn flavor too. Sammys were otherwise good and pie was good. Locale was charming. Apple slaw was also good - burgers are more like sandwiches with meat (no buns - Texas toast). I'd go back but I will not order the cheddar cornbread again. read more

Like I said on my last review, it's very obvious that I am not from around here (I'm a South Carolinian, just a few hours away from home, visiting the are for some new sights) but the staff at this location wasn cool! The other guess was weird, but at least that vibe didnt come from their staff or owners, whoever served and prepared my food. But Overall The food was great! We were taking a drive through Seneca to determine if it's a place we want to move to when we saw this restaurant. We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner and were pleasantly surprised. You grab the menu at the front door then go to the counter to order. The cashier was the nicest! She explained some dishes to us and told us about the restaurant and the pie shop next door. We asked other patrons what they ate and got rave reviews from ALL of them. Under recommendation I ordered meatloaf. Now I usually hate out to eat meatloaf and when I saw the soft texture I thought "Oh no". But, it was super flavorful with brown gravy, mashed potatoes and crispy but delicious green beans. My absolute favorite thing was the cheesy corn bread! I'm a corn bread snob. And I ordered more to take home! I dipped it in my sister's spicy potato soup and it made both come alive! She stole some after that. She had the flatbread sandwich. It almost looked like pizza. But it tasted like a Philly cheesesteak. She ate every bite and said it was amazing. My husband had a hamburger but asked if they could add pulled pork. She said "of course!" He loves the word yes. He demolished it! And he's a chef. Mom ordered a Warrior sandwich. She loved it too. Ordered dessert to go because we were pretty stuffed. Peanut butter pie was different than what we expected. It looked like chocolate peanut butter pie. I loved it. Mom loved it. At Mayberry's, you go to the counter to order, and they bring the food to your table; not sure how they keep up with that. They seem to do a great job of it, though. I ordered the Seven Layer Salad with added Sliced Turkey. I was told that they cook all their meats in-house. Extra credit! I enjoyed the salad, but, hubby, who ate a little of it, thought it needed more flavor. I liked the creamy buttermilk house dressing. Took a morning trip to Seneca for Greenville and it took a chance on Mayberry's. There were 5 of us and all of the food was delicious. I found it to be clean and comfortable also. We had the Dutch Apple pancakes, two light pancakes rolled like burritos, stuffed with chunks of baked apples, whipped butter on top, sugar-free syrup (by request). The dish comes with bacon and one side. We both had fruit. Everything was hot (except the fruit), very tasty, and filling. This choice of brunch is a bargain at $9. The service was fine.
