Reliable, good, food. I've had both nice dine in & take out experiences here. Will keep coming back.

I will start out with saying that they seemed to be doing a great job with all things Covid related. There was good spacing between tables and a mask requirement as well. The staff all had on masks and had them on the majority of the time! The service was good. The staff was friendly and attentive. We appreciate it all the help we got and all our questions were answered patiently. All that being said... The food was not very good. We usually have an open mind about food quality, especially right now. Everybody has a bad day. Out of four meals our family ate, only one of those was said to be good. The steak nachos didn't really have a lot on it and the wings were just average. We will give it another try and see if it was just a one off performance and hopefully it will get a 5-star! read more

The food is OUTSTANDING. It's very good. They give you food when you're done eating your stuffed. The service is great. They take care of you and make sure your having a good meal. It's very quiet there's music playing. So if I were you I would recommend eating here. It's good for all ages except baby's. We had the nicest waiter ever. Awsome 10009/10 read more

Despite the negative reviews, this place has seriously stepped it's game up. We got the smoked wings for appetizers and there were 3 dishes between us and every dish was absolutely amazing. This gem is tucked away between Clemson and Walhalla. It's a charming place with beautiful wood cabin-type of interior design. We were really disappointed in the restaurant choices in Clemson, so much fast food and bad Mexican restaurants, so we tried Copper River Grill for lunch. I got the caesar side salad and it was huge. It had delicious real hard parmeson and the dressing was delicious. It was not super heavy. The hickory salmon on a plank was to die for! A tangy, delicious marinade and the salmon was cooked perfectly. The cheesy mashed potatoes were disappointing. It was some sort of creamy cheese and it tasted like something you would get from a diner, not shredded cheddar like you get on a baked potato. My husband got the she-crab soup, which had a good flavor, but not much crab. That's to be expected though in SC when not on the coast. He liked it. His ribs were good, he said. Tender and not overcooked. Our waitress, Chyann, was fantastic. Super friendly and kept checking on us, and brought an iced tea refill for my husband when she noticed his getting low. Ordered full rack of baby back ribs with collards and steamed broccoli as the sides. The ribs were fabulous, and the steamed broccoli was great. The collards were terrible and should be taken off the menu unless a more palatable recipe can be used. The collards are the only reason I did not give it 5 stars. TLDR: Good service, disappointing food. The reviews give this place too much credit. Service is great, which is good to see. But the food is simply disappointing. All of our steaks were undercooked and without flavor, and the sides all felt underwhelming. In particular, the cheesy mashed potatoes had the same cheese sauce you might see on football stadium nachos. read more

I don't understand why this place doesn't have 5 starts. We're on a spring break road trip and stopped for the night. I can't remember the last time every meal was so good we couldn't decide who's was the best. To say I was shocked would be an understatement! This was such a disappointing meal. There was almost nothing open on Sunday in Seneca aside from fast food. We walked in and immediately the place did not smell clean. Very musty smelling. We were taken to a table where there was food spilled and smeared into the floor. The host didn't notice at all and we called her back. No energy to get someone to clean it up. Our server came over and quickly moved us to another spot while she cleaned the food up. There was plenty of space between tables and the place was mostly empty. The tables seemed clean-ish but had a film. The server did a good job but the kitchen was very slow. A half hour or more to get a meal consisting of soups, a burger and a prime rib sandwich. I thought the potato soup was too salty. The burger was good per my sister. The prime rib was very fatty. I can't blame the server for the slow kitchen and we tipped appropriately but we didn't eat a $80 meal. Plus another server had her mask down below her nose almost the entire time. And pulled it down entirely to talk to a table. This is not ok. read more

Of COURSE I had to eat at the only place in the area had been review by Yelp. However, I didn't get a chance for it to be my idea to go here... my mother suggested it and off we went. Decor: Okay, the decor is a miss. It's nice inside, but it seems like they're going for a cozy mountain lodge feeling but it's more sparse than rich. The walls are painted plain white and there's a different art theme on each walls, but they don't mic in together and it's not well positioned. Decor, however, it the only place this place missed. Food: We started with the shrimp and crab dip, which was rich and full and delicious. It was more crab and shrimp than anything else and came with yummy little garlic bread wedges. My friend, Dahlia, had a house salad (which was like a mini Cobb salad with egg and bacon and ham) and she-crab soup. I didn't try the salad but it looked like it could be a meal on it's own. Also, she got blue cheese dressing and it was LOADED with chunks of blue cheese. I did try the soup and it was rich and fatty and delicious. Emphasis on fatty, but yum. My mother got chicken tenders (served with honey BBQ sauce) and they were very good. The batter was thin and flavorful and the chicken must have been flash fried because ti was juicy but not at all greasy. I have the black and blue salad. it was blackened tuna (cooked to order, I chose rare and it, in fact, came out rare) with blue cheese crumbles chopped lettuce and tomatoes and fried onions. The tuna was very very very good. It went well in the salad. The balsamic was just okay. The salads were served with honey butter croissants (which are also an appetizers) and they were AMAZING. Think fresh baked little croissant.. buttery and flaky... drizzled with honey. Yum. we did not have dessert. Beverages: They had sweet and unsweetened tea. They have a full bar. The beverages are not overpriced and the pours are good. Service: The service was impeccable. We never wanted for everything. Our refillable beverages were refilled before we even thought to ask and the food was perfectly spaced (with a nice break between app and meal, but not so long that you're wondering where your food is). I recommend Copper River to anyone in the area. read more

They have lost my business for good and I'd like to warn others. I was at this location last weekend for a graduation party. Our experience was nothing short of stressful. For a party of 20+ people, they only had 1 server, Cody. We were there probably 3 to 3.5 hours. During that time, no one received a refill. It took FOREVER for our food to come out. I'm talking about 45 minutes if not more. People who ordered ribs were served before those who ordered salads. There were maybe 4 other tables in the whole place so it's not like it was crazy busy. However, the food was good so I was willing to let that go. The biggest fiasco was the check split. Instead of handling it beforehand, Cody waited until the end. Someone named Jennifer got involved. I think she was a manager but she only made matters worse. We seriously sat there for 1 hour while they tried to get the checks right...and they were STILL wrong. After about the 5th time going over how to split the bill, we asked Jennifer to write it down. She picked up a pen & paper but never actually wrote it down so we went through several more times. They messed up so many times that they had to void charges off one card but of course it would still show as pending. Some people were charged twice. It was a complete mess. I'm huge on customer service and this may have been the most inadequate service I've ever received. Never again. Be warned if you go here and plan on splitting the check any sort of way. And...ESPECIALLY if you have a large party. I know things can get hectic with large parties but the service here was inexcusable and completely inefficient. read more

We stopped in on a weekday evening. The place wasn't crowded so we were seated right away. The waitress,Emma Lee was very pleasant and was very helpful answering questions about the menu. I decided on the Salmon and ordered it grilled and blackened. It came with a nice salad and a baked potato. The servings are large so we decided afterwards that we could have split it between the two of us. It was a great meal and we will return soon. read more

Staying in Clemson on a Sunday a friend wanted to watch NCAA basketball Elite 8 games and have a few drinks. With Clemson being in a dry county we drove to Copper River Grill about 10 minutes away. The place has the same type of experience as a Ruby Tuesday, with a similar grade of food. Another friend had told us their wood fired pizza was decent so we ordered that an the Copper River salad and split it. In this area, Copper River Grill is a pretty good spot, great for families and just to hang out. Unfortunately, their bar area needs a face lift. The TV's are about 13 inches and look like they are from the 80s. Meanwhile, the pizza is definitely worth ordering. It's thin pizza and isn't going to rival true pizzerias, however, in this part of the Upstate, this spot might be tough to beat. Our salad was good, too, complete with fresh romaine lettuce and crisp, cool veggies. The service was good, too. read more

It is a lively place. The food and service are both good. My wife and I shared two dishes and an appetizer. The smoked jalapeño cheese dip is bland but if you don't mind being a table side chef you can redeem it with Texas Pete and black pepper added in. The featured burger (Bigfoot's Mother-in-law) is yummy. The black and blue salad with steak is excellent. They do need to decorate the place. I was appalled when we ate @ Copper River last night. Not a single employee had a mask on. The tables were sticky & the menus were their usual ones that everyone touched. They did have a girl wiping the menus off, but that was the only precaution I saw being taken. The bathroom soap dispenser was out of soap. Seneca has very few restaurants & I was disappointed to see this happening. If you are looking for a great burger this is the place, but a great steak or rack of ribs... I would suggest keep on movng somewhere else! Ribs looked like the poor pig was starved to death, and the connective tissue on the ribs were amazingly connective. I found myself wrestling my food just to get it off the bone. They of course said that no one compares to their steaks -- which means absolutely nothing to me if I can't buy your amazing steaks. Anyway, they mentioned Copper River Grill. I called and placed my order. I arrived and waited perhaps 15 minutes at the bar. I would have appreciated an offer for a drink; even just a water while I was waiting for that long of a period.
