The Grill is now open Friday to Sunday from 11-9. They are open for take out but there are picnic tables in the area where you can sit down. The food is hot and fresh and fast. I think everyone would find something on this menu that pleases them. The manager, Kyndle, is super friendly and wants to make sure everyone is getting great food and enjoying it. She seems to love her job and it shows. She interacts well with customers and seems to have a great relationship with the other employees. They are very focused on making sure we are safe with the COVID days we are in. I felt things were very clean and they were serious about ensuring it was a safe environment for both the customers and employees. If you are on the lake looking for a quick bite to eat you will be glad if you stop in here. I would definitely highly recommend it.

We came camping for the weekend and decided to try a new spot I found on yelp. The food was SO good. Service was perfect we didn't wait very long for our food.

We're a little confused as to where to sit and order as this was our First time here. Really enjoyed the food and the view!!

This is a pretty stand up place. Located across the lake from Clemson University, the place appears to be run by students, but the service here was great - now granted, it doesn't have to be all that since you actually order at a window and take a number to be called when your food is ready. They have a good selection of fish and other sandwiches, burgers, etc. All of the food we had was done well, I especially loved my catfish sandwich and would definitely go back for another. What gives this place kick is that it's located in the Clemson Marina (used to be Seneca Marina) and is a great place to fuel up the boat and stop in for dinner, with a great view of the lake, cornhole, and a playground for the kiddos. Large TVs are in the dining area so you can catch a game or what not, I'm sure this will be a great place to kick back during football season. I'll be back for sure, even if not just for a random visit. I'd be on a five star here but you can only get the burger well done, and my other half star subtraction would be that it is not a full service restaurant. For as many employees as they had, they could definitely stand to be full service.

Fun atmosphere. Food is good. Good selection of beer. Overpriced. On the lake! Fun in the summer.

Just watched a member of the "crew" in the kitchen picking his nose, wiping it off on his shirt before handling food.

Our group of 8 was seated right inside the entrance of the restaurant and my back was to the lake side view. Therefore, I can only say I experienced a typical hotel bar restaurant vibe. Our server did a good job-even taking a minute to take a group photo for us. The brunch menu had a variety of choices. I chose the Renfrow Wings off of the Shareables Menu and a side salad. This consisted of 13 chicken wings so I had plenty of left overs. I ordered 1/2 teriyaki and 1/2 bbq. It was hard to distinguish between the two, but they were good. I need to go back and give this restaurant another try. This time I'll make sure to enjoy the view, maybe even sit outside on the patio if it's cool enough. I know this sounds strange, but I'm giving them a 4 star in anticipation of that lake view...

Unfortunately Rick Erwin's missed the mark on its primary assignment. The restaurant is nicely decorated in the style of a steakhouse. Dark wood paneling and shutters adorn the walls with pleasant dim lighting shining down from above. Service was strong with a team serving our table. We were greeted immediately and offered water and a drink. However, we were not offered bread, which is unusual for a steakhouse. Our appetizer of Buffalo Cauliflower was just ok. The breading had a subtle after-taste, which may have been from the batter being undercooked. And the buffalo sauce was not very prominent. So the dish was not as strong as I would have wanted. For our main course, we ordered the porterhouse for two--the signature dish at any steakhouse. Unfortunately, it fell short. When the steak arrived, it lacked the expected presentation; it had been grilled rather than broiled and was served without the usual butter or sizzling finish. That missing sizzle wasn't just visual--it showed in the flavor. A proper porterhouse should have a rich, salty, buttery finish, but this one was surprisingly bland. Just as disappointing, instead of being presented as the centerpiece of the table, the steak was served on a plate that we were apparently expected to eat directly from. It felt odd and took away from what should have been a standout experience. Overall, this was a below average experience for a steakhouse. We will try it again down the road since the choices near Clemson are limited. But Rick Erwin's should really revisit what it is trying to be and then decide how to be that.
