Dreary Sunday morning about 11:30 - the hubby and I thought we'd check out Applebee's in Seneca. Our server. Shannon, was helpful and friendly as we waded through the extensive menu. It's been a while since I've eaten at this chain so we had several questions about the menu. The hubby ordered the Appetizer Trio as his main meal. I ordered the Half Rack Double-Glazed Baby Back Ribs with mashed potatoes and Cole slaw. The hubby's boneless chicken wings were quite crunchy-cooked a little too long we thought. My mashed potatoes were very good, but they were not very warm. Busy place with plenty of seating. Typical chain restaurant fare and atmosphere. read more

This Applebee's location has roaches! Then employees are asked to get the roaches off the table without customer's knowledge. Disgusting!

This visit was much better. Our waitress was a sweetie and on point. My aunt got the French onion soup and she said it is the best. I could see that it had lots of onions and a good amount of cheese. I got the Mexican burger with fries and the five chicken wings for a buck. We split the burger. It was good but needed I needed extra pico. The fries were good and the wings were hot and had a good kick. Auntie liked her Bloody Mary and I had a Bud light. Come in and wait a good twenty minutes with open tables but all is good since there was cardboard cutout of the Rock. Get seated and order the steak because I'm a steak connoisseur and wanted to try it for the love of the game. Steak itself was okay but our server was amazing. Went to grab lunch on Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly at a high top near the bar. Waitress took our drink order after about five minutes. Returned ten minutes later with two drinks no straws and we didn't see her again. After waiting 20 minutes we gave up. Left money on the table for the two sodas and left. The restaurant wasn't overly busy and the bar wasn't swamped. Not sure what went wrong but needless to say, super disappointing. Also - the bathrooms smelled horrendous. read more

We love the food here and the service is excellent. Samantha is the best waitress ever. She remembers previous orders and asks if you want the same or something different. With the hundreds of customers she serves each day, it is impressive that a month later she recognizes us and remembers our order. Ask for her and you will be happy!! One other thing...the bathrooms are always clean!! Super important to me!! read more

Waitress Renee spilled drinks in mine, my husband's, and my daughter's lap. I honestly wasn't even upset, I told my husband I wanted to give her a $50 tip cause I felt bad for her until we saw her sitting down eating & no manager ever came to talk to us. We tried to be nice & stayed for our meal. The manager never came to talk to us until we requested at the end of our meal, I feel she should have came over immediately. The waitress was sitting at another table eating instead of getting the manager or checking on us. At the end of our meal she offered us complimentary ice cream. Like wtf? Also the bathroom is so nasty & smelled so bad I threw up after walking in. You could smell the bathrooms before you ever got to them. The toilet was covered in feces. I would not recommend going here & we are vetoing it from our restaurant lists. We also didn't finish our food it all tasted microwaved. This place has really gone down hill. It should be closed, cleaned from top to bottom, and teach the staff common courtesy. I understand now why people refer to this as Crapplebee's! read more

There's a reason this is a 2 star restaurant. Frankly, 2 stars are quite a bit ambitious! I tried eating a Bourbon St Steak, my advice...DON'T! I ordered through DoorDash and the Dasher was to me in very promptly and I was excited to get my food, Applebee's has, in the past, been exceptional. The only thing on my plate that was edible was the garlic mashed potatoes. I ordered medium well steak and their idea of slightly pink is ridiculous. I do grill but the steak was over done! I can't eat this overly expensive steak at all! I expected MUCH, MUCH better and not a steak that could easily have been cooked yesterday and thrown back on the grill to overcook!!! I was very unsatisfied with the service I received today. Our order was messed up and our waitress told us to fix it ourselves instead of her bringing it back to the kitchen to have it fixed. The waiter was more concerned with how many tables she could get then making sure her current customers were satisfied first. Still has not improved service from last time. I haven't been able to go out BC I had surgery on my foot. I went out on valentine's night for dinner and was the worst mistake I made that day. Wait was long, they took things off the menu that I used to order. The worst part was when we got our food I had hot marrinara poured on me the waitress didn't clean the mess abs even went and told her manager that she spilled sauce on herself. So as I went to stand up to go to the bathroom I almost slid in the mess called the manager over and told her and she didn't do more than give us a coupon for 5$ off a order( not our recent order) not to mention the food was cold, dry, and chicken was hard. If I could give them a no star I would...the manager has no regard for honoring the service his company gaurantees to uphold. For starters I found roaches in my food many years ago U ASK WHY GO BACK THEN.. WELL3 or more years has passed since ....& im in the military and came home for the holidays to visit.. my homegurls wanted to meet up & go to applebees in seneca....even though I was hesitant I let them talk me into giving applebees a try again since it had been so long ago sonce i found a roach in my salad.. BIG MISTAKE!..they were out of many items..... because they lack good management ...so instead of the manager allowing me to substitute an item that he failed to order enough of in his shipment .. he said there was nothing he could do.. the manager acted like he was clueless to the price difference that existed if I ordered items the way he suggested ...but I know he was just playing dumb to avoid having to comp a price due to his lack of managing his supply shipment For sure I am venting but I have never gave anything but 5 stars on establishments ...in the past if the restraunt was not up to par I felt no need to share it with u all...but this place needs to be revamped with better management or shutdown!..it sucks read more

Worst experience I have ever had in any restaurant ever. The waitstaff harassed us the moment we walked in due to our race and our age. They then proceeded to call the police on our party and caused an entire scene embarrassing us and ruining many other families nights. This at had awful servic!!! the manager is absolutely incompetent for the simple reason that she could not distinguish a real South Carolina id from a fake. Me and four other people of legal age with South Carolina ids attempted to get dollar margaritas from the restaurant and waited an hour plus for the cops to arrive only to be informed that we were of legal age, but worst of all, had to leave the restaurant because we were somehow unhappy with being held in the restaurant for an hour. I wish I could give this restaurant negative stars. Never in my life have I been so disrespected as a customer. Some friends and I went to get drinks and the waitress said she had to take our IDs to verify we were of age. We said okay, that's fine because they were all real IDs. The manager comes back about 20 minutes later and tells us she is calling the cops to verify our IDs. I have been a server in the past and have been taught that it is a server and a managers job to know a real ID vs. a fake. An hour goes by and the police arrive and run our IDs and let us know that we are in the clear but we have to leave. The manager would not even look at us as we were leaving. I do not recommend the restaurant to ANYONE as long as that manager is working there. read more

We love Applebee's! Complete menu, great food, excellent service, and just a great place to go enjoy a meal. I'm very proud to brag on them for their contribution on Veterans Day. They offer a free meal to every veteran and believe me, they rate five stars for all of the above! My wife and I love to dine there and hope after this coronavirus goes away we can go inside to eat. Came after church and the smell of stale smoke almost knocked us down. At first, we thought it was on the clothes from the party in front of us. After being seated, it became obvious that it was the restaurant itself. I realize SC law doesn't ban smoking in restaurants, but it does require signs designating smoking sections. Either way, the ventilation in the smoking section does not allow for a smoke-free environment in the non-smoking section. We decided to stay, but this is our last visit. On a Saturday night we were seated very quickly. Our server was very nice and attentive. Our food came out pretty quickly and was good. The bathroom was pretty clean. The downside: you can still smoke at the bar inside. Didn't know there were still places in the US that you could, so that was a bit of a surprise and the reason for only 3 stars. read more

First off this is the only place with the Sunday ticket so I'm already happy. And I have to say Logan is the best bartender within 50 miles of me!! Service in SC is not the greatest but Logan is a rock star. He remembers my drinks and handles a full bar flawlessly. The food is good but Logan is the reason I come back every week. So if u want I'm there every Sunday! And come meet Logan u won't regret it!! Best place in Seneca for sure. And FYI I've been to every other place and this is by far the superior service by far! read more

I went to this Applebee's with five 22 year old friends. I am 20. I ordered a water and they all ordered alcoholic drinks. The waitress took their IDs to verify with the manager. A while later, the manager comes back with their IDs. She says she's calling the cops and we're like uh ok they're all real. It's a server's and especially a manager's job to be able to tell that she's holding five real ID's. They were SC IDs. We are in SC. I think they're pretty common around here! The cops take a while to show up, probably because they have better things to do than show up to an Applebee's and verify real IDs. This has taken around 45 minutes. The officers finally verified my friends IDs, but she says the manager wants us to leave. The manager wouldn't even tell us herself. So long story short, my friends got kicked out for legally ordering alcohol, and I got kicked out for ordering a water! Horrible and embarrassing experience to be escorted out by three police officers. read more

The food at this Applebee's is very good, and the new menu and woodfire grill items are very good. I would agree about the smoking, but it is also a bar. As long as you don't sit in the bar seating the smoke is not an issue, and i don't think they allow smoking on Sundays. I really miss those queso potato chips.. read more
