I tried ordering online, but the system would not accommodate my special request, so I called the restaurant. I had to dial three times before anyone answered. When a staff member finally picked up, I stated my order, but they did not acknowledge my order and last name was correct, and instead hung up in the middle of me speaking. when I arrived to pick up my order, I was quoted $21.22 for a single breakfast plate with no beverage. Upon receiving the food, I discovered they had prepared hash browns instead of the fries I had requested. After being awake for 36 hours for work and already frustrated by the earlier phone experience, I simply requested a refund. I have eaten at this restaurant many times and this was my first experience of this nature. unfortunately, customer service has shown a gradual decline in recent months. I hope management can address phone responsiveness, order accuracy, and overall consistency so visits can return to the standard previously enjoyed.

I had the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich with onions and added peppers. They do have a daily breakfast and lunch special posted. Nothing fancy about the restaurant. Local memorabilia decorated the walls so that gave it a sense of "community." Our food was good. Parking was limited. The staff was friendly. I went in the Farmer's Market first. It looks like an old barn. There were lots and lots of homemade choices- "canned" soup bases, fruits, vegetables, salsas, jams, flavored oils to name a few. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.

The food is always good and comes with nice side options. The ice cream scoops are quite large and of course delicious.
