I stopped by Schlotskys after my doctor's appointment. It was 9 am and I took advantage of their early morning schedule. I ordered the southern comfort salad with grilled chicken, without candied pecans. It is a large salad, I had half for lunch and the other half for dinner. Along with the grilled chicken there was bacon, halved cherry tomatoes a salad blend, and sliced boiled egg with ranch dressing. The salad was ok, but I had to look for the grilled chicken. Our first time eating here but definitely not the last! I wasn't very hungry so I got a large Mac and Cheese with small cinnamon roll. Good food, good service for the most part polite service which is why I'm giving a four star not a five star. I would say 4 1/2 stars only because of one or two young people through the drive-through that seemed to not have patience with the customers. It was very annoying. Customers are the lifeblood and no matter how much a customer may irritate the worker they need to learn to be polite and patient. I'm always polite when I have to interact with someone else because I've learned that I get better service this way. This is my second time visiting this establishment in the past year. The first time was not good, and this time was no better. Service is prompt and prices are ok. However, the Sandwhich was not good at all. The bread was hard, and I had to look twice to make sure that it was jalapeño because it was so dark. First time trying this place . I've seen it in passing but never stopped until yesterday. The place has a warm and cozy set up , loved the decor inside . As soon As I walked in, I was welcomed by warm smiles and greetings . The guy at the front counter was very helpful especially when I told him it was my first time. I don't know who owns or runs the Anderson, SC 29621 Schlotzkys but is in terrible shape. The drive thru menu is missing a full panel of food and is in brutal condition. And the landscaping blocks a customer from rounding the corner after ordering. The credit card machine has been down for weeks. The parking lot and drive thru are littered with holes. Attached are pictures. Not to mention there's usually one employee making food. People love Schlotzkys because the food is great. But I believe time is running out for the Anderson location. read more

I was so happy when they did the remodel several months ago. Seems like they are slipping back to their old ways. Orders are incorrect and service is declining. Biggest issue for me at this time is that staff are NOT wearing masks. Been there twice in two weeks and no masks. UPDATE: Decided to try this location again and what a surprise. All of the Staff were wearing masks and they even installed a plexiglass barrier at the counter. Food was also correct. Great job with the updates! read more

This is not a review as much as it is a complaint. My husband and I tried to eat here on a Sunday night. The hours state on the door they close at 8 pm on sundays. It was 7:24 pm when we pulled up and the doors were locked. I've worked in food service and I get it's annoying to have people come in shortly before closing. But it's unacceptable to lock the doors more than 30 min before closing. We could see other people inside eating. If a place like Applebees or Red Lobster can keep their doors open til closing, certainly this place can too. read more

They took my order and took my money then proceeded to make me wait for 20 mins for my food while i had to sit in my car and listen to their drama and cut up. We waited for a really long time in the drive through. Like a really long time. To give you an idea we were able to listen to half of the Aladdin soundtrack while we waited. Honestly if we hadn't already paid we would have just left. I saw lots of people walking around in the kitchen so I'm not sure why it took so long. Then we get home and the Reuben we ordered didn't have any thousand island on it and the turkey bacon club didn't have bacon. Everything tastes good, but it wasn't made correctly. Beware huge pothole in drive-thru! I used rear entrance and took drive-thru lane to get to main parking area. Big mistake! There is a large, deep pothole in drive-thru, and I really worried about damage to my car after I drove over it (I failed to see pothole). Until owner decides to fix this, please, owner or manager, put an orange cone in the pothole so people have a better chance to see and avoid. This should have been done already. read more

Someone told me a couple weeks ago that they waited forever at scholtzskys drive-thru and the food wasn't so good. Well I love schlotzsky's restaurants and have been to this location before so I thought maybe it was just an off day. So, I went today and was disappointed. I did wait quite awhile in Drive-thru and I had ordered an original sandwich without onions. I finally get my sandwich and it has onions and for some reason they added mayonnaise. First off, I love this place. I've dealt with the 20 minute wait times in the drive thru. I've dealt with the workers that didn't wanna be there. Hell, I've even dealt with having to keep asking for my chips because they never give them to you. But for everything to happen in one visit, that's it. My wife visited Schlotzsky's in Anderson, SC to pick up dinner for all of us. It's 6 miles each way from our house, but the food is good, so it's worth passing four other sandwich shops. When she came back home, the 4 sandwiches were not labeled, and 2 of the 4 didn't resemble anything we ordered. We discussed and she packed it all back up and went back to the store. It was getting late in the evening - to avoid risking missing dinner, we decided the best option was to return the food and request a refund. After some arguing with the manager that half of the order was correct, the manager finally relented and said she'd issue a refund. We waited a week. The $23.06 was never refunded. My wife returned to the store a week later and explained the story; the manager remembered! She said that the refund would be issued expediently. Well, it's been 78 days and guess what, no refund. I travel the country for work and have always enjoyed making the local Schlotzsky's one of my dining destinations. Not only will I never return to the Schlotzsky's in Anderson, SC, I'll never be in the proximity of any of their stores. I'd get a better return on my money if I gave it to Bernie Madoff rather than a Schlotzsky's store. read more
