    Cheese bites so good
    Kendra H.

This place is so good! We tried the one in commerce ga is was good then I was excited when I saw this one had opened. I only gave one less star because you don't get a Ton of food my husband is usually still hungry after his meal but also I ordered chicken for my kids and wondered why they weren't eating them and then realized it's because they gave us hot ones after I said they were for the kids. I didn't complain or try to replace them, but will check for this next time. The salad is really good and the cheese bites are delicious, we loved our ice cream I didn't get a picture of. We tried the mint and the regular vanilla with chocolate syrup and we liked the plain with syrup the best.

Chocolate turtle (already had a few delicious bites!)

Great food and fast service. We like Culver's here in anderson. Not very busy on a Tuesday. Burgers were hot and onion rings were fresh

I went in the Farmer's Market first. It looks like an old barn. There were lots and lots of homemade choices- "canned" soup bases, fruits, vegetables, salsas, jams, flavored oils to name a few. There were also fresh fruits, nuts, honey, vegetables, dairy products and cakes. There are four areas you can eat. The main "restaurant" is small with only a few tables. Evidently it's a favorite of older local gentlemen to gather for an early breakfast. There is also the "Pig Sty," "The Chicken Coop" and the farmer's market area. Some of these can be cold in the winter and warm in the summer so dress accordingly. The farmer's market area is heated by a wood stove. The staff here are so friendly. It felt like we were visiting family. The food was good ole country food. The hubby and I each ordered the breakfast plate. I had coffee with my choice of several flavored creamers. If you pay in cash you get a discount. If you are in the area you should check it out. You can order from the breakfast or lunch menu. Plan to stay a few extra minutes and look around and support local farmers. We brought home some boiled peanuts. Fun experience and good breakfast.

But food was lackluster, cold fries and they definitely don't use the same fountain drinks as McDonald's, b/c the Dr. Pepper is not at its best. Probably will try again, but not any time soon.

Why does it take so long? We hopped out and got snacks at the food truck next door to tide us over until we could pull up to the window. I'm not exaggerating. Also they have two lines for the drive through to order but just know if you pull up to the outside one absolutely no one will let you in. Might as well go somewhere else. We got donuts while waiting.‍ Can't say that is an endorsement. So disappointing. When I finally got my food about 15-20 min later it was a cold burger. Maybe it had been made fast but the line didn't go fast enough and the burger got cold? I asked them to remake it by going inside and heard the employee saying "she wants it remade", and this employee was nice, and someone else yelling "WHY?" And then a lot of complaining about it. The food is really good and that's such a conflicting thing because I'm unsure if I'll go back. It ultimately ended up taking about 40ish minutes. Edit to add: some staff was super nice and helpful. One offered me a cup for a drink to help with the low blood sugar because I'm diabetic. And that was considerate, so I grabbed some swallow of sweet tea so I didn't get too dizzy. So thank you to her for understanding that diabetes low blood sugar doesn't wait. Once it starts dropping it's dropping.

I…read morehad really hoped that I would leave giving rave reviews of this restaurant, but I just can't do it. The property overlooks the Hartwell Marina, and the front porch is adorable with its rocking chairs and windows to the bar. Inside, it's a deliciously divvy atmosphere with mismatched tables and chairs, high and low ones, and barside seating. They offer live music most (all?) nights that they are open. Always a bonus! I started with a craft cocktail of cucumber something but traded it in for a gin and tonic. My husband ordered his ushe of fried shrimp with onion rings and home fried potato chips. He said the shrimp was good and the onion rings and fried chips were as well. He would not eat the hushpuppies. We both found the outer shell to be tasty, but inside a bit tacky and without much flavor. I ordered grilled grouper which I felt came off the heat just a tad early for my taste. It was fresh enough, though. The green beans I ordered were right out of the can, but the mac & cheese was good. It is not grandmas's homemade fare, but if you like pasta and you like gooey cheese, you'll like this. In general, everything just needed some seasoning and a tweak. My husband ordered a chocolate chip cake which was their dessert offering for the day. It was delicious. Our service was pretty good, and I would give them another try.

Unfortunately, this was a bad if not worse than before. Grouper chewy, heavy, tasteless and days old. Green beans good. Hush puppies tiny and dry. Salad okay. Waitress inattentive. Setting, at sunset on the porch, however, was terrific.
